Chapter 2033
Chapter 2033
"Only Morpheus and Sephy aren't like that. They respect and understand me. Sephy told me once,
'One's appearance doesn't indicate anything. A clean heart is what truly matters!'"
Rebecca chuckled dismissively.
"You're a psychologist, yet you fail to grasp this," Wynn said coldly. "Actually, I pity you. You could have
stepped out, yet you insist on dwelling on the trivialities.

cured his PTSD except Sephy... It shows that a true psychologist is never just a title.
"What truly heals everything is love!"
One particular morning a year later, sunlight streamed through sheer cream curtains onto the floor.
Persephone was sound asleep when she suddenly felt something pressing down on her... Then,
Morpheus' strong arms wrapped around her slender waist. She drowsily opened her eyes to find him
sealing her lips with heated kisses.
Over the year, his kissing skills had improved, and Persephone soon found herself unable to resist.
Despite her enthusiasm, however, last night's activities had exhausted her, and she didn't have the
strength for another round right now.
As such, when Morpheus was about to continue his advances, she placed her hands on his bare chest.
"Morpheus..."
"Hmm?"
Persephone blushed and softly said, "Not now..."
Morpheus refused to give up, nuzzling against her, but she struggled to make him back off.
"You've been quite..." She pouted, too embarrassed to continue her sentence.
Morpheus chuckled and nuzzled her hair with his nose.
Persephone giggled, her face turning even redder.
She remembered their somewhat comical wedding night.
Earlier.
Although they were legally married, Morpheus sat motionless on the bed, stiff as if a wax figure, except
for his anxious eyes and bobbing Adam's apple.
Persephone gently removed her silk robe, revealing a short slip underneath that accentuated her
delicate curves. Yet, all he did was nervously sweat, avoiding eye contact. He restrained himself to the
point of sweating profusely, determined not to touch her.
Persephone looked forlorn, nearly on the verge of tears, while all Morpheus could think was that it
would hurt for a girl's first time... He wanted to touch her, but the thought of her being in pain held him
back.
He'd rather be in pain himself than for her to be hurting!
Neither of them had experience in such matters, so they had a minor disagreement over this on their
second day of marriage.
In the end, Persephone's parents resolved it... a funny and poignant situation.
Finally, progress was made the next night.
-
Since then, Morpheus' advances had been swift. From initially holding back and not touching her to
now...
"Hey, you don't mind me being in pain now?" Persephone playfully teased him. "So, this is how men
are. Once they get what they want, they forget to be considerate!"
"What? No way," Morpheus protested.
"Then why... so frequent?"
"Well..." He thought for a moment, then grinned mischievously. "Who'd want to stick to a vegetarian diet
once the gates are open?"
"Morpheus!"
Persephone tried to punch him, but he effortlessly grabbed her small fist. His desire couldn't be
suppressed anymore.
"Sephy, your grandparents said they want a great-grandchild."
"No!"
"Alright, fine. If you don't want one, I don't want one, either..." Morpheus smirked. "Since you don't want
a little baby, how about an older baby for the time being?"
As Morpheus turned, and the blanket covered them both... Gentle morning light cast shadows of their
heaving movements...
Every story had an ending, but love had no endpoint.
Hence, what truly healed everything was love.
—The End!
