A Demon Lord’S Obsession

Chapter 157: Bout

Chapter 157: Bout

Chapter 157: Bout

Elias and Dawson stood watching Rose and Leon sparring. Rose still trying her best to be a great

swordsman, had the same fire in her eyes as her father. Both swords didn't show any mana but the

sound of the swords bashing against each was loud enough for anyone to hear. The knights and

guards cheered and watched in the same awe as the two men.

Elias yelled out with his hand coned on the side of his mouth to make his voice louder.

"You can do it, Rose.!"

Dawson turned his head to Elias asking, "I thought this was just training?"

Elias laughed while saying, "everyone else is cheering, I might as well do the same for my girl."

Dawson laughed much the same saying, "I bet it felt good to say that huh.?"

Elias put his hand on the back of his head rubbing his neck.

"Yea, I can't deny that. This is the first time I've gotten the chance to say something like that."

They both looked closely at the match, watching the two fighters start to show less intent. It seemed to

be slowing down.

Elias looked at Dawson one last time and spoke. Content held by NôvelDrama.Org.

"You have everything ready right.?"

Dawson continued to look at the two sparring, then looked at the ground.

"Yea, it's been a long time in the making, I don't want to mess it up."

Noticing the fight stopped grabbed two towels and started walking over to the two.

Just before leaving, he spoke.

"I hope she says yes."

Dawson laughed and with a light-hearted tone said, "me too."

Dawson watched as Elias walked over to the two people holding towels out for both. Leon seemed to

snatch it from his hand while Rose gently grasped it. Elias seemed to say something to her and she

seemed to reply but Dawson didn't hear it. He left shortly after Elias went to the two of them. Dawson

had his own things to do.

Elias looked at Rose's father, who was wiping the sweat from his face.

"So if you're not too tired Demon King shall we spar as well, might as well practice before I have to duel

you for Rose's hand."

Rose watched and almost started laughing.

Leon spoke while wiping his face with the towel.

"You really know how to light a fire in me, now all I want to do is fight you."

"I'm glad then.."

Elias moved closer to Rose, they both playfully smiled at one another. He looked at her as she handed

him the sword.

Though as she was slightly moving away he took her hand and kissed the back.

"Thank you, my lady."

Whether it was the display or the fighting, she had a reddened face as she walked off the court.

Elias turned and just as he did he raised his sword. Leon's sword was already against his, his face

wasn't so pleased.

"Stop acting like a little shit and prove yourself to me."

"I'm just thanking your daughter."

"It seems once I allowed you to date, my daughter you got more spunk, maybe I should have fought

you for that blessing as well."

Elias backed up twisting his body away, wielding his sword toward Leon's side. Leon blocked and

jumped back. The two looked at each other, a veil mist of mana seemed to emerge from both. It was

just a duel but now it could be seen as a battle. Everyone started cheering like before.

-

Sir Jesse kissed Mable's lips in the hall and then pulled away. Her glasses slightly fell over her nose,

though he used his finger to push them back up.

He looked down on her, she was almost cornered by his large arms. He smiled at the blushing wife of

his. Cheers and voices could be heard from outside the building and he pushed his face against her

neck.

"Sigh, even on my breaks I can't get five minutes of peace."

Her arms wrapped around his neck and they hugged each other.

She then leaned her mouth close to his ear and softly spoke.

"We have the whole night to ourselves once your work is over. So make sure you finish early, and not

come home late like last time."

He backed off slightly blushing. He leaned in and kissed her once more.

"Okay, then I better go now, I love you, Mable."

"I love you too, Sir Jesse.."

"Don't do that now, or I'll have to take you to my office."

She started laughing and pushed him off.

"Go, go.."

He walked out of the building and the cheers got louder.

He walked through the crowd to see what the cause was. He was about to tell everyone to get back to

their own training but stopped. He stood watching the scene, it was quite the spectacle. It wasn't a

surprise to him anymore, he was used to these aggressive fights and he just continued watching.

Leon swung his sword down with all his might as Elias did a counter with all his might. The sound the

two sparring swords made was loud and caused a quietness to come about. Of course, silence fell they

witness two people both break their swords. Elias and Leon's eyes both watched the two broken pieces

fall and eventually stab into the ground. Elias moved the sword to view it and it had cracks running

through it. Leon did the same and saw a chip pop of his.

Leon tossed what was left of the sword down on the ground and put up his fists smiling as he did. Elias

looked and was ready to do the same.

Though Jesse and Rose both came and pushed each person back. Jesse got in front of Leon, trying to

cool him down, while Rose did the same to Elias.

Jesse yelled in a deep voice.

"Stop lollygagging and get back to work, unless you want me to force you guy to train all night, with no

dinner!"

"Yes, captain."

This was the response from many of the guards and the crowd dissipated.

Rose spoke out to the two of them still looking daggers at each other. Both were still in the fighting

mood.

"You can always fight another day, just make sure you have better swords."

Leon spoke.

"If only you let us continue then we could see who was stronger."

Elias spoke in much of the same tone.

"How about tomorrow, we can just use our bare fists then."

"Perfect."

Rose put her hand over her forehead and sighed.

"Oh god, how am I going to deal with these two."

Elias put his hand on her head, she looked up at him. Though he still looked at her father and in a

driven compassionate voice spoke.

"Don't worry, it's all for you, you know, I'm going to keep going till I'm more capable."

"But the way you're fighting isn't something two people training would do, you two looked like you were

about to kill each other."

Jesse spoke out to her.

"I'd get used to it, that's Leon's special way of training, though as someone who had to fight him much

the same, it does greatly help one's ability."

"Fine, but you better not come to me all bloody with open wounds Elias, cause I won't show you any

sympathy."

"Alright. I'll make sure to win."

Leon grit his teeth and spoke.

"We'll see."
