A Pigeon Pair: Sweetheart, Let's Get Married

Chapter 78 I've Been Thinking About It for a Long Time, Everly

Chapter 78 I've Been Thinking About It for a Long Time, Everly

Everly reached the door and rang the doorbell.

At the same time, she took out her phone to send a WeChat message to Garry. Suddenly, she thought

of something and dialed his number instead.

However, the line was busy.

Everly thought something was wrong, so she stopped ringing the bell.

She quickly opened WeChat and sent a message to Garry.

Everly: "Garry, I'm at the door of your room. Where are you? Come out. I won't get in if I don't see you."

After thinking for a while, she felt the latter half of her sentence was a bit abrupt, so she sent another

message.

Everly: "It is probably not very appropriate that I volunteer to meet the investor you want to contact. But

your line is busy, so where are you?"

Everly was worried.

After sending that message, Everly stood at the door of the room.

She stared long at the dialog box. As long as Garry opened his WeChat, the word "typing ..." would be

displayed.

She had waited for a long time, yet that didn't happen.

Was he still on the phone?

Everly bit her lips and thought, "Maybe I should call him again. If I can't get through, then I'll leave."

However this time she could only hear that "Sorry, the number you dialed is power off!"

Everly felt confused.

She immediately felt that there was something wrong.

Anyway, no matter what, she couldn't stay here anymore.

Perhaps it was because of what happened to Edmond that she had a persecution complex.

Yet, to be honest, it was a good thing to have that kind of mentality right now. Love your neighbor, yet

not pull down your fence.

Everly quickly walked back to the elevator. As she walked, she sent Garry a message out of courtesy.

Everly: "I'm going back since I can't get in touch with you. If there's anything else, we can talk about it

tomorrow."

She put away her phone and stood at the entrance of the elevator. Just as she was about to press the

button on the elevator, a figure suddenly flashed across the reflective interior of the elevator.

Everly's heart skipped a beat, and she had been badly upset.

However, before she could make any movements, she could feel the person behind her quickly

stretching out his hand.

The man had grabbed her waist. Before Everly could scream, the man had covered her mouth with a

white cloth.

She was shocked and everything became more and fuzzier in her eyes.

There was something on that cloth and its smell was very strange. Before she completely fainted,

Everly only had one thought in her heart.

She was done for.

The feeling of suffocation became more and more obvious as she tried to grab her phone.

She didn't know till the end if she had unlocked it with her fingerprints, or if she had made any phone

calls.

However, she thought in a daze that the first person in her phone records was Garry.

If it had anything to do with Garry, the call would have been in vain.

However, something happened indeed.

Who could save her?

...

When Hendrix received Everly's message, he had just come out of the private room of the clubhouse.

He glanced at it and raised his eyebrows.

After thinking for a while, he gave Everly a reply and asked her why she was going to the hotel at night.

However, there was no reply to his message.

Hendrix only met Maverick after dinner.

He was free at this moment, so he planned to go back. He was quite concerned about Edmond.

Maverick had his considerations, but he didn't.

If he knew that Carolina dared to hurt his nephew, he would definitely revenge.

He walked to the parking lot and took out the car keys. After thinking for a while, he was a little worried,

so he took out his phone.

He glanced at WeChat again and there was no reply.

Then he dialed Everly's number.

Almost as soon as the call was made, it was connected.

Hendrix couldn't even react because it was connected so quickly. He said "hello" and mistakenly

thought that he hadn't rung.

He took it down and saw that he was in the middle of a call.

Hendrix frowned and put it in his ear again, "Hello? Everly?"

There was no sound on the other side of the phone, but the sound of something being dragged could

be heard.

Hendrix was puzzled.

Yet he didn't hang up.

He shouted twice and raised his head to see another person coming out of the elevator.

Maverick walked out of the elevator with his hands in his pockets, followed by two men.

It was Tyrese and Hayden.

Maverick stood in the middle and those two were chatting, which made him look even colder.

Hendrix hadn't hung up yet, but there was still no sound from his phone.

He was more suspicious.

Everly was not that impetuous. Furthermore, she had sent him a WeChat message just now. Was there

something wrong with the hotel?

His expression was somewhat solemn.

He held his phone for a moment and didn't say anything. Instead, he held his breath and listened to the

commotion over there.

He directly opened the car door but it was not convenient for him to say hello to them. As he bent down

and prepared to sit in, he only simply greeted the three men.

Maverick stopped.

Tyrese, who was standing beside him, was a chatterbox. When he saw that Hendrix was about to

leave, he was unhappy since Hendrix just stayed for a while. So he stepped forward and stopped

Hendrix from closing the car door. "Hey, why did you leave the moment you saw me? What the hell is

going on? Who are you calling?"

Hendrix made a "shush" gesture.

He happened to hear a faint voice coming from the phone. It wasn't so clear, but he could tell that it

was a man's voice.

"You can't escape today. I've been thinking about it for a long time, Everly."

Hendrix paused.

All of a sudden, he thought of something.

He almost threw his phone at the dashboard and said to Maverick, who was standing outside the car,

"Get in!"

Tyrese was shocked by Hendrix. He even jumped and exaggeratedly patted his chest. "What the hell?

What happened to Hendrix today?"

Hendrix ignored Tyrese and looked at Maverick. He gritted his teeth and said, "I guess that something

has happened to Everly. Maverick, get in the car!"

If someone would harm Everly, it must be the sisters of the Kahl family. Only they would do this at this

critical time.

However, this was not the most important reason why Hendrix let Maverick get in the car.

Because he knew that the WEE hotel Everly was talking about was a five-star hotel owned by the Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.

Lamont family. In other words, with Maverick around, he could get in.

Tyrese, who was standing beside him, and Hayden, who hadn't spoken the entire time, didn't know

what was going on. At this moment, they saw Maverick, who had been in a bad mood all night, frowned

as he got into the car.

The two only got a mouthful of exhaust.

Tyrese coughed twice, "Damn it, what are they doing? What happened?"

Hayden also cleared his throat, "Didn't you hear just now? It seems that something has happened to

Hendrix's sister."

"Then why is Maverick so nervous?" Tyrese thought of something and shivered, "I feel that something

is wrong. If Maverick is with Hendrix's sister, then it is easy for us to have conflicts. Jenson and my

father have always been close. What do you think I should do?"

Hayden seemed to have considered it very seriously and patted his shoulder, "Then do you think your

father can defeat Maverick?"

"It's hard to say," Tyrese replied seriously. "Actually, I always thought that Maverick was very sinister."

Hayden smiled and said, "Well, good luck."
