Ranita felt much better after a good meal and rest. Dressed in a suitable dress and high heels, with a touch of lipstick, she looked radiant.

Eve couldn’t help but pinch her face. “Oh my God, where did this stunning beauty come from?! Your skin is as soft as tofu!”

Ayaan joined in the fun, hugging Ranita’s leg and looking up to praise her. “Mommy is beautiful again!”

Ranita was amused, her bright eyes and white teeth making her look indeed very pretty.

“You guys are exaggerating.”

“No, we’re not!” Eve raised an eyebrow. “Shannon can’t even compare to your fingernail! Brendon must be blind!”

Ranita felt a bit embarrassed by the flattery.

“Alright, Ayaan is in your hands. I’m heading out.” Recently, Eve had been resting at home since the company’s affairs were handled by her best friend, and the online controversy hadn’t completely died down. Eve decided to take it easy and not work for a while.

Ranita met Mr. Goodman at the police station entrance.

“We’ve gathered enough evidence, and Aldo hasn’t denied anything. The police believe there’s enough to prosecute for attempted murder, but his mental illness claim might affect the outcome…”

Ranita understood what Mr. Goodman meant without needing further explanation.

Aldo had done many disgusting things and had stabbed Brendon, nearly costing him his life.

“I’ve spoken with Mr. Stuart’s lawyer. If Aldo tries to use his mental illness to escape legal punishment, we can ensure he gets a ‘mental hospital package’ instead!”

Hearing this, Ranita pondered.

Brendon was never one to be lenient; she knew the implications behind those words. Comparing the two, prison might actually be better.

“I understand.” Ranita continued walking forward; she had something to confirm.

Aldo was tall and thin, looking like an inexperienced college student, except for his eyes, which had a hint of darkness.

Seeing Ranita’s bright appearance made Aldo momentarily dazed, but the next second he showed a look of disgust. “You’re the one who used that face to seduce the goddess’s fiance, right?”

“Disgusting!”

“My family will compensate you for medical expenses.” Aldo said nonchalantly.
