Chapter 915: Request
“Do you want to see Ayaan?” Alexia felt uncomfortable. Although Brendon was handsome, there were plenty of good-looking people in the world. Why did Ranita have to like him?
And she had to compete with Lena Diaz’s daughter.
It wasn’t that she thought Ranita was bad; she just didn’t want Bowman’s Mansion to be associated with Lena Diaz.
Anyone who got involved with Lena Diaz was bound to have bad luck.
“Auntie, can I go in and see Ayaan? Ranita is in the hospital, and I’ll be with him today.”
Brendon pressed his lips together. “I am asking you.”
Alexia opened her mouth, intending to refuse, but Benedict appeared just in time. Benedict observed Brendon for a moment. Having been in the business world for a long time, he naturally knew about the Kurima Stuart family.
A rising star, Brendon had taken on the massive Stuart family business at a young age.
He was an outstanding young man.
If it weren’t for his situation with Ranita, Brendon would indeed be an excellent match in Benedict’s eyes.
Putting personal feelings aside, Benedict admired Brendon. He had the courage and ability to lead Stuart’s Corp to greater heights than it had reached under Wyatt Stuart. This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - ©.
Benedict sighed, thinking if only Jedidiah had half of Brendon’s capability, he could step back.
“Mr. Stuart, come in and talk!” Benedict said, then turned to Alexia. “Go call Ayaan.”
Benedict led Brendon inside, and a servant swiftly brought hot tea.
After taking a couple of sips, Ayaan came running out but stopped short when he saw Brendon. His big eyes glared angrily at him. “Daddy!”
“Come here!” Brendon frowned and beckoned. “Why are you upset?”
Ayaan was angry but still enjoyed playing with his dad. He couldn’t help but move closer.
In a childish voice, Ayaan grumbled, “Daddy is bad! Daddy made Mommy upset. Ayaan doesn’t want to talk to you.”
Brendon sighed and patted his head. “Daddy knows he was wrong.”
“Really?” Ayaan climbed onto his lap and wrapped his arms around Brendon’s neck, looking pitiful. “Daddy, you didn’t answer my calls. Ayaan was very unhappy.”
“Sorry, Daddy’s phone got water damage and broke yesterday.”
“That’s not true! You were with the bad auntie and didn’t want to talk to me!” Ayaan huffed angrily. “She even talked to me.”
Brendon frowned.
He quickly guessed that Shannon had answered Ayaan’s call and deliberately damaged his phone.
“Ayaan, Daddy apologizes! It was Daddy’s fault yesterday. Will you forgive Daddy?”
“Okay!” Ayaan said happily after a pause. “But Daddy, you can’t do that again. Mommy was very sad.”
Brendon already felt guilty, and hearing that Ranita was sad made him feel even worse.
“I’m sorry!” Brendon hugged Ayaan tightly and spoke earnestly. “Daddy apologizes.”
“Later, let’s go see Mommy together. I’ll apologize to her in person, okay?”
Brendon spoke patiently, making Ayaan laugh gleefully in his arms.
Benedict’s opinion of Brendon improved slightly.
He had always seen Brendon as cold and distant at business meetings. But seeing how he interacted with Ayaan now, he seemed warm and patient-a good father.
If Ranita truly liked him, then Benedict decided he would support them.
