Chapter 41
Chapter 41
Spring was lowering her cell phone and didn't hear Troy's words because her focus was on Dezmond. "Hi."
"I couldn't get ahold of Fallon. I wanted to see you." Dez walked inside and closed then locked her bedroom door. "I hope it's alright, me stopping by unannounced. Summer let me in."
Spring could only nod.
"I didn't want you to go away without explaining to you the rules."
Dez came to a stop in front of her. She had to look up to meet his gaze. "The rules?"
"There are three." He lowered to his knees, placing his warm hands on her exposed thighs.
"Three?" Spring asked. Her pulse was in overdrive as Dez's hands slid under her short skirt and up the outside of her trembling thighs.
"The first," he said. His voice sounded thicker, deeper. "You will be careful and take care not to come to any harm while away." His fingers took hold of the thin hem on both sides of her panties and pulled until she rose a bit. He eased them down her legs and let her lift her feet out of them.
"Second?" her voice cracked.
"Second," Dez said as he spread her legs. "Remain confident. You are truly beautiful." He placed his palm on her chest, gently pushing her back. "And third," he whispered.
She felt his warm breath on her inner thigh as if he were just a few inches away from her...
"Don't let any other man touch what's mine."
He ran a finger over her clit just before he sucked the tiny nub into his mouth. Spring called to the heavens as her body shook with a sudden orgasm. Dez continued to suck and run his tongue through her folds but it was too much.
"Please, I...I..." she tried to sit up as she pulled at his shoulders. It was too much to bear.
"My woman, so sensitive, so wet," Dez said as he licked his lips and stood.
The heated gaze he gave her as he pulled off his shirt and undid his jeans was so sexy Spring sucked her bottom lip into her mouth. She leaned back as he climbed over her. When he settled on her, she felt his heavy cock on her leg and another shiver ran through her. He was soon gripping it and running it through her wetness.
"You understand the rules?" Dez asked her.
It wasn't fair. He was asking while her brain was shorting out. And when he pushed in just the tip, she grabbed his head and pulled him in, and took his lips. God, her scent smelled so intoxicating on his lips, his face. She kissed him hard as she lifted her pelvis. She needed him inside her.
"Ah...Spring, baby, be patient and answer me. Do you understand the rules?"
"Are you mine as well, Dez?"
"From that first night you've owned me," he said, panting.
It was then that Spring realized how tense he was. How intense his gray eyes were. He was serious. She thought for a few seconds. It was long enough to see worry filter through his gaze. His fear sent an ache through her chest that she didn't like. "I understand," she said. Then she screamed out with pleasure when he pushed inside her. Her eyes rolled as he began to make sweet love to her.

Dez walked through the lobby with a purpose, his footfalls echoing throughout. He checked in at the security desk before bypassing the elevators and jogging up the three flights. When the receptionist tried to stop him, Dez ignored her. When others attempted to converse with him, he nodded but kept to his destination.
It was Percy, his agent, who stepped into his path. "I wasn't aware we had a meeting scheduled today, Dez."
"We don't." Dez moved to go around him.
Percy matched his movement, once again placing himself in Dezmond's path. "I thought so. But while you're here," Percy reached to place his hand on Dez's back. "I'd feel we should discuss your next project. You know, cross our T's and dot our I's."
Dez lifted his hands as he backed away. "I'm not here on business, and when I want to talk Mr. Hayes, I'll contact you. And by the way, I'd prefer you to call me Dezmond or Mr. Rey. Only my friends call me Dez."
Dez watched Percy long enough to see the fake façade of friendship fall away before he bypassed him. He knew the man was a snake, an entitled brat of the highest degree, but Percy was good at what he did. And that was getting his books to the right people. Fallon was, of course, better, but he swore to a sticky friendship rule that kept them from doing business together. Otherwise Dez would be working with the best.
