A Vengeful Girl

Chapter 135 A Lesson in Respect

Chapter 135 A Lesson in Respect

Linda couldn't help gaping at Charles in disbelief.

"Oh my god! How could you say that?" Linda couldn't believe Charles just threatened to close down a

school for her.

Charles arched his eyebrow as he looked at Linda, "It's fine. Trust me, I'll take care of it."

Charles drove Linda to the school for the interview. Linda was surprised to see a lot of people gathering

at the school gate. "Why are there so many people? What happened?" She asked.

Charles shrugged. "I don't know."

"Pull the car over. I'll walk from here. Your car is too eye-catching." Linda said.

The car Charles drove that day was a limited-edition blue Lamborghini. It was so luxurious that

practically every passerby couldn't help staring at it. Linda didn't want to attract troublesome gossip.

"No. I'll teach them to respect you."

Charles insisted on driving Linda to the school gate despite Linda's protests. Seeing Charles' car, a

middle-aged man in a black suit rushed to them. Charles rolled down the window.

"Young Master Mu. I apologize for Director Li's ill-advised recklessness. Please..."

"Open the gate." Charles interrupted abruptly.

The principal stared blankly back. "Open the gate." Charles repeated coolly, completely ignoring the

middle-aged principal of the school. "What?" The principal was confused.

"I'm not going to repeat myself."

Charles replied, rolling the car window up. With dawning realization, the principal scrambled to instruct

the gatekeeper to let them in.

Charles started his Lamborghini and the car's engine revved noisily as he drove into the parking lot of

the school.

At the school gate, the principal was scolding Director Li, who was in charge of recruitment.

"Do you know what you've done? You put our school in big trouble! Don't you know that the Mu Clan

finances our school with funding and scholarships every year?

Faced with an angry principal, Lilian Li didn't dare to say anything and kept her head down. She hadn't

even met Linda yet, but her distaste of her doubled.

Charles stopped at the parking lot, which was near the school gate. He got out of the car, and walked

to the passenger side to open the car door for Linda. "Watch your head, Linda."

Linda nodded with a faint smile. She knew Charles did that to show to everyone that she was valued

and doted on by the Young Master of the Mu Clan, as a warning to respect her.

Linda took Charles' offered hand and got out of the car.

Seeing Charles and Linda get out of the car, the principal, Director Li, and the other administrative staff

hurried to them at once. "Young Master Mu, I sincerely apologize. I have already berated Director Li for

her actions. This will not happen again..." The principal immediately rushed to explain to Charles.

He studied Linda as he spoke.

"My fiancé has arrived for an interview. Please proceed as scheduled."

Although Charles was certain that the teacher position would go to Linda if he ordered the principal

accordingly, he knew that Linda wouldn't approve. He trusted Linda to get the job by herself, so it

would've been unnecessary anyway.

"No problem! Miss Li, arrange the interview at once!" The principal said, glaring at Lilian Li.

Linda let go of Charles' hand and ran her eyes over the staff. "Who called me at half past two this

afternoon?"

At Linda's words, Lilian couldn't help trembling. She didn't dare to step up. "Is this woman planning to

get back at me?" She thought nervously.

"Really? None of you called me? That's wired..." Seeing no one stepping up, Linda scoffed.

"My Lady. It was Director Li. She is too harsh at times. We apologize for her rudeness..." It wasn't a hot

day, but sweat was gathering on the principal's forehead. He was in a dilemma. Director Li was not only

the director of the school, But also his sister-in-law. If the Lady Mu wanted to get even, he had no

choice but to punish Lilian. She wouldn't be able to get off with just a slap on the wrist. He would have

to dismiss Lilian if Lady Mu insisted on it.

Thinking about this left the principal feeling anxious. If he fired his sister-in-law, his wife would be upset

with him.

Linda glanced at Lilian Li. Taking an A4-sized paper from her purse, she passed it onto her. "Director

Li, this is the report on traffic accident I was involved in. You may review it."

Lilian took the paper and scanned it. It showed that the accident happened at forty past one o'clock that

afternoon. There was an official stamp from the Bureau of Traffic Control. The accident was real!

What a fucking coincidence! Lilian was mortified. "I am so sorry, Lady Mu..."NôvelDrama.Org is the owner.

"Does Director Li still think I'm an unpunctual liar not qualified to be a teacher?"

"That was me talking nonsense. Please forget it, My Lady..." Lilian was in a panic.

At Lilian's words, Linda nodded in satisfaction.

"We don't have much time. Please arrange the interview as soon as possible." Charles said coldly,

wrapping his arm around Linda's shoulders.

When it came to starting the interview, Lilian became somehow hesitant.

Noticing the delay, the principal chastised Lilian at once. "What are you waiting for? Go start with the

interview! Don't keep Young Master Mu and Lady Mu waiting!"

Gulping nervously, Lilian replied, "Mr. Principal... I'm afraid we have already filled the position for the

Chemistry teacher role. Our school only needs one additional Chemistry teacher at the moment…"
