Chapter 924
Chapter 924
Sylvia looked at Jasper with a smile on her face.
Franklin squinted at her attractive appearance but spoke to Jasper, "Do we really need to remember something so small from many years ago for our entire lives?"
“How can | forget your favor of saving my life?" Jasper shook his head and chuckled softly. "| was only sixteen or seventeen years old at the time. | had a big fight with my mother and ran away from home. At that time..."
He seemed to be lost in memories.
It was like he had returned to that summer when he huddled inside a dirty bridge hole with several homeless people who scavenged during the day or picked up leftovers.
They would return to live in the bridge hole at night.
There was a landfill near that bridge hole, and it was extremely hot outside with nauseating stench wafting through the air constantly.
He had nowhere else to go but stay there.
One evening, he became extremely hungry but had already spent all his money. Several homeless people who disliked him brought back some tall men pointing at him saying, "It's him."
He stood there confused without understanding why they were doing this. Those men came over menacingly grabbing hold of him intending to take him away.
"Who are you? Why are you taking me?" He felt fear mixed with uncertainty inside himself while desperately resisting them but couldn't match their adult strength no matter how hard he tried
Several men surrounded him beating him up mercilessly until his nose bled profusely while feeling dizzy and disoriented
Just when he felt hopeless,"Bang!" A basketball hit one man's head hard causing them all turning around furiously seeing an elegantly tall teenager walking towards them confidently.
The teenager looked very handsome yet carried an unusual coldness about himself
“How dare you fight under broad daylight?" The teenager said sternly looking around before continuing,"Oh good! Another one has come along making it perfect for our boss."
Those men let go of Jasper immediately rushing towards that young man instead Jasper widened his eyes suddenly shouting out loud,"Dangerous!" However, just as soon as those words left his mouth; everything froze still
The basketball boy leaped into the air and effortlessly took down the group of men, leaving them helpless on the ground. Jasper was shocked! It was clear that this young man had martial arts skills and immense strength. The adult men were no match for him.
In that moment, Jasper felt like he was watching a scene from a martial arts movie. He felt like he had just opened the door toa new world. The beaten men lay writhing on the ground as Franklin approached Jasper with his hand outstretched.
"Hello, my name is Franklin," he said.
"Hi, I'm Jasper," replied Jasper as he used Franklin's hand to help himself up from the ground. It was then that he realized how disheveled and dirty he looked compared to this clean-cut and handsome young man.
He felt embarrassed by his appearance in front of Franklin; it seemed like everyone around him smelled bad too because they were homeless wanderers just like him.
"You're lucky you ran into me today,” said Franklin calmly. "These guys are involved in some serious criminal activity."
Suddenly, several other teenagers appeared out of nowhere and apprehended the beaten men while tying them up tightly with ropes. They even used torture tactics on them which made Jasper feel sickened by their brutality; it was something unlike anything else he had ever seen before in his life!
"They broke their fingers one by one,” explained Franklin matter-of-factly as if it were nothing at all. "They also broke their ankles."
"| was so scared, Miss Andrews! I'm not ashamed to admit it now but back then | thought these kids were even more dangerous than those grown-up criminals!"
"But little did | know that these boys finally got these guys to confess about an underground organ trafficking ring along with its entire supply chain!"
"When | heard about how cruelly those criminals acted towards others, it made me realize how much worse off they deserved." "The reason why they kidnapped me is because they wanted my kidneys and heart for sale..."
"When | heard this news my head exploded inside!"
“If Mr. Franklin hadn't shown up when he did... | would have already been dead."
"So, you followed him afterwards?" Sylvia took over Jasper's words and glanced at Franklin, who had been sitting silently beside them.
"| didn't expect that you were already starting to punish evil and promote good with the buddies of the ancient martial arts family back then. You're amazing!" Franklin smirked, seemingly indifferent despite Sylvia's praise.
But his ears involuntarily turned pink. He coughed lightly. "It was just catching a few bad guys. It wasn't a big deal."
"It wasn't just a few bad guys. The case was very sensational at the time." Jasper continued to recall, "Those people were particularly rampant, and there were many cases of missing young men and women. It was very scary, and rarely would any teenager walk alone on the streets. After they were destroyed, everyone breathed a sigh of relief."
"The society is too simple; it's human nature that is complicated." Sylvia sighed deeply. "There are more kind-hearted people in this world than evil ones, but there are still plenty of villains out there. Fortunately for you back then, you met Franklin; otherwise... the consequences would have been unimaginable."
Jasper's eyes filled with emotion as he said. "Afterwards | followed Mr. Franklin all along; practicing martial arts together with him. | swear | also want to become someone like him, punishing evil-doers. If | can save even one person, it will be worth it.”
Unknowingly, the sky began to brighten up. The east started turning pale white, and the darkness gradually faded away.
After listening to Jasper talk for so long, Sylvia stood up and stretched her tired body, "It's getting light outside. | wonder if they've rested enough or not. Hopefully their health have recovered somewhat by now."
Jasper also got up, "I'll go out and order some breakfast for them. Their food must not be taken lightly!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Jasper walked outside. Sylvia wanted to check on Brogan Mullins's situation, but she had barely taken a step when suddenly, a long, strong arm reached out, pinching her waist.
She hadn't reacted yet when her back hit against the wall.Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.
Atall figure loomed over her, trapping her between his arms and the wall.
Sylvia was speechless.
What... what is going on?
The man's hot breath brushed against her earlobe, and she blushed, "This is a hospital..."
Franklin's eyes roamed up and down her pretty, charming face with a mischievous glint. He grabbed her small hand with the hand that came out of nowhere and then pressed it against a certain spot on his body.
Sylvia wanted to pull her hand back like she was scalded, but Franklin held onto it tightly.
"Honey, don't always think about other things and other people. Occasionally think about me, take care of me..." His tone was pitiful. "So how about..."
"Stop it! Is your competition more important or is this important?" Sylvia blushed angrily and pressed down hard. Franklin winced in pain, his face changing color. "Do you want to ruin your happiness for the rest of your life?"
How rude!
Sylvia couldn't be bothered to deal with him anymore and pushed him away as she tried to leave.
But the man continued to cling onto her, accurately biting onto her soft lips like flower petals.
He didn't kiss deeply; he just tasted them lightly.
Sylvia punched him once. "I'll deal with you when we get home."
"Uh-huh, is that the kind of ‘dealing’ I'm thinking of?" Franklin smirked evilly at her, looking particularly handsome while doing so. Rolling her eyes at him, Sylvia wanted nothing more than to kick him out right then and there.
"Do Jasper know how wicked you are when he thinks so highly of you?"
"Men are all foodies who love beauty," said Franklin thoughtfully as he rubbed his chin before imagining what Jasper would look like being wicked himself.
He couldn't help but shudder at the thought; it seemed a little scary.

The nurse was pushing a medicine cart over too when she greeted Sylvia cheerfully. "Dr. Sylvia, good morning." "Did they get up again last night?" asked Sylvia casually “One got up twice while others only once or not even once," replied the nurse after checking last night's records
"It seems that medication has taken effect," nodded Sylvia approvingly before asking. "By the way have we received results from water testing?"
"I'm not sure about that since | wasn't on duty yesterday evening." The nurse looked apologetic for not knowing everything happening around here
"That's alright." With one quick turn on tiptoes, Sylvia walked towards Payton's room leaving behind an embarrassed-looking nurse.
The face beneath the nurse's mask twisted in disdain as she quickened her pace towards Brogan Mullins's hospital room. She glanced at the bottles of medicine on her cart with a hint of satisfaction. “Pretty soon... they won't be able to get out of bed,” she thought to herself.
When Sylvia arrived at the nurse's station to check on the water test results, she flipped through several pages but couldn't find what she was looking for.
“What's going on? The test results should have come out by now,” Sylvia asked, perplexed.
The head nurse joined in and helped search through the papers. "We thought you were resting:so Ge thant ppidistird You We were planning on delivering it this morning, but it was here just a moment ago. How could it disappear so quickly?" Please read the original content at .
