After divorce, Ex-wife Revealed Identities

Chapter 934

Chapter 934

"In two months, on May 20th," Samuel quickly replied, his face beaming with joy. "Boss, if their forum can publish within these two months, you will be the team leader expert. Otherwise, it might just be you alone."

Sylvia gave him a cool glance. "Don't worry. Their paper will be published. I won't let myself go there alone."

They had to form a team and work together.

With Sylvia's words in mind, Samuel felt relieved.

"Okay then. I'll wait for your good news later on. The registration deadline for this event is early July so we still have a month and a half left to publish the paper. Boss, you are truly the shining star of our medical community back home." Although time was tight, since Sylvia said so herself, Samuel trusted her unconditionally.

He believed that she would guide those doctors in completing their paper and getting it published.

"Alright then! Enough with the flattery already! I need to go now," Sylvia checked her watch again and didn't waste any more time talking with Samuel before heading straight into the airport terminal.

As soon as she stepped inside though Franklin's message popped up on Facebook. "Have you boarded yet? When will you arrive at Larro?"

Sylvia's heart warmed up at his message. "I'm about to board now but once I land I'll give you a call."

"Great! I'll come pick you up!"

The two didn't talk much after that; Sylvia took one last look around at all of the busy travelers rushing by before joining them herself by boarding her flight quickly without realizing who else was onboard until she saw some familiar faces upon entering.

Elsa smiled as she led her over to her seat saying. "Mrs. Maskelyne, please take your seat. If there's anything else needed, feel free to ask me."

Sylvia blinked twice in surprise when seeing Elsa again after such long time apart. "What are the odds, Elsa?"

Elsa giggled while covering her mouth, "Coincidences don't just happen without reason, right? Every coincidence has its own purposeful encounter."

Sitting down finally, Sylvia couldn't help but feel like Elsa was hiding something behind those words, "Why are you playing games with me, Elsa?"

"Haha, Mrs. Maskelyne, I'm actually supposed to have my day off today, you know. But they called me last minute asking me join this flight. Can't help but wonder... isn't this some kind of arranged coincidence?"

Sylvia furrowed an eyebrow slightly, "Did Franklin make trouble for you? Having forced overtime like this. I'll scold him when we get back."

As soon as Sylvia finished speaking, a familiar deep voice came through the radio in her ear. "Hello everyone, I'm Captain Franklin of this flight..."

Sylvia's ears grew hot and her head buzzed a bit.

"Franklin... how can he be the captain? He wasn't supposed to fly today!" Sylvia was a bit confused.

"Oh, Mrs. Maskelyne, aren't you usually so powerful and decisive? You can't even guess this? Our captain changed his shift just for you."

Elsa took a glass of juice from one of the flight attendants and placed it in front of Sylvia, playfully winking at her. "Isn't it touching?"

Sylvia didn't know what to say.

She had seen husbands picking up their wives on TV shows before, but she had never seen a husband specifically change his shift to fly his wife home.

But she couldn't help but laugh at how sweet it all was. There was warmth in her eyes that she couldn't hide.

This man... suddenly so warm and charming, she wasn't quite used to it yet. But happiness is real and warmth is real too.

There was an intense sweetness that made her feel cherished deep down inside.

Passengers boarded the plane one after another while flight attendants reminded them about takeoff procedures and inflight safety measures until finally the plane took off smoothly into the sky.

After ascending safely into the sky, a tall man dressed in captain's uniform stepped out of the cockpit.

His tall figure exuded an inexplicable sense of security when people looked at him.

With handsome face expressionless except for slightly pursed lips, he scanned around before settling on Sylvia's form.

After seeing her, he strode towards her with big steps.

Sylvia raised an eyebrow as she looked up at him with smiling eyes fixed on his handsome face. "What kind of romantic stunt are you trying to pull by picking me up like this?"

Franklin leaned down slightly reaching out with large hands clasping onto hers softly, "Isn't it natural for husbands to pick up their wives from work? What's so romantic about that?" This content provided by N(o)velDrama].[Org.

He just wanted to see her quickly after all...

"Then why did you bother pretending on Facebook?" Sylvia glared at him playfully while tilting head slightly sideways revealing more neck area for Franklin's lips which brushed past gently as he whispered into ear,"Wasn't that meant as surprise gift for my lovely wife?"

"I don't want anything else from you." Although clearly feeling good inside, Sylvia still tried not let Franklin get too full himself by denying any further compliments or attention from him.

Franklin didn't stay here for long, he took her hand and lightly kissed the back of it. "I have to go take care of some things, luckily Urgford isn't far from Larro so we'll be home soon."

"Okay," Sylvia nodded. "Thank you for picking me up and bringing me home, Captain."

"If you get bored, just read a magazine," Franklin said as he patted her head with his large palm before turning to leave.

Because it was a domestic flight, the flight time was short and they arrived in Larro after only two hours.

It was already late at night when the plane landed and there was a heavy dew that made it slightly chilly.

Sylvia waited for Franklin outside the airport after getting off the plane. He came out more than ten minutes later. When he saw her sitting quietly on a chair with her slender figure accentuated by her

waistline, his gaze froze and his Adam's apple moved slightly.

If only they had tried something on the airplane earlier...

Hmm... one day they must try what it feels like at thirty thousand feet in mid-air.

Sylvia had no idea what kind of bad ideas Franklin had in mind but she felt an intense burning gaze on herself which made her look up in surprise. She then saw that Franklin's black eyes were locked tightly onto hers as if they were two flames engulfing everything around them.

Sylvia was speechless.

What kind of expression is this? What kind of look is this man giving?

Before she could react, Franklin strode over to her with long arms outstretched before sweeping Sylvia off her feet without warning and carrying her towards their destination outside the airport terminal building.

"What are you doing? I can walk by myself," Sylvia protested weakly but instead received a hot breath against one earlobe as Franklin whispered sensually into it. "I can't wait any longer my dear wife... let's go to a nearby hotel."

"What?" Sylvia didn't understand what he meant but she could feel his breathing becoming more rapid while his chest rose up and down uncontrollably like waves crashing against rocks during high tide!

Damn!

What is wrong with him at this hour?

He actually wants...

There were several good hotels near the airport including one owned by Maskelyne Group where they stayed after being recognized by reception staff who immediately gave them access to their presidential suite without hesitation upon seeing who they were.

Franklin carried Sylvia all the way back to their room without explaining anything along the way!

As soon as they entered their room, however, he began undoing each button slowly until finally removing every piece of clothing from himself revealing muscles that left nothing else hidden from view except raw desire itself!

Sylvia almost couldn't handle how sexy he looked right now!

"Uh... Franklin... why do you have to be so seductive?"

As soon as she finished speaking, the man pounced on her fiercely. "I've been wanting to do this since we were on the plane!" The night was as dark as ink on rice paper, intensifying the scene. He demanded like a starved wolf.

She slept through until nine o'clock in the morning. Sylvia woke up feeling exhausted and saw that the man was already sitting there with a laptop, looking refreshed and energized.

Sylvia was speechless.

What could she say? She sighed silently, hugged herself with a thin blanket and sat up, feeling sore and tired all over.

Franklin looked up at her with deep eyes. "Awake?" His voice had a hint of seduction to it that matched his handsome face perfectly. Sylvia sighed again silently in her heart - why did he have to be so good-looking?

"Uh-huh, I'm awake." She glanced at the time. "I'll go freshen up."

Dragging her achy body into the bathroom, she heard Franklin's voice again. "Honey, what do you want for breakfast?"

"I don't want anything; I don't have an appetite," she mumbled while brushing her teeth.

"We can just have lunch then," Franklin nodded. "The hotel buffet is pretty good; we can try it later."

Sylvia took a casual hot shower before coming out of the bathroom only to find that there was now an extra gift box on their bed.

"What's this?" She raised an eyebrow curiously.

"It's clothes I picked out for you," said Franklin who sat cross-legged on the couch with his long legs stretched out elegantly while his beautiful eyebrows showed some indulgence towards Sylvia's curiosity about what's inside," Open it and see if you like them or not."

Without hesitation or refusal from Sylvia, she opened it right away only to find inside was a set of seasonal new dresses from an international brand along with matching shoes plus bag from same series which fit perfectly both size-wise and style-wise.

"You've got good taste," complimented Sylvia after changing into one of them immediately without any second thoughts about wearing something gifted by him.

Franklin pursed his lips slightly while amusement flickered across his eyes.

He didn't tell her that he subscribed fashion column specifically just so he could help pick clothes for her.

Sylvia opened Facebook app on phone seeing many notifications piled up including messages sent by Logan, Samuel, Vaild, Mark and Jenna ...

In short, too many people contacted her because her phone shut down last night?

One message caught Sylvia's attention. It was from Jasmine, updating her on Giancarlo's condition. "Giancarlo is recovering well and should be discharged in three days," the message read.

Sylvia quickly replied, "Let's discuss this in detail when I visit the hospital this afternoon."

Another message came through, this one from Alby. "Someone is investigating you," it read. "Their identity is unknown, but I'm working on counter-surveillance."

Sylvia furrowed her delicate brows in confusion. She hadn't taken any cases recently due to being busy with other things, so why would someone be investigating her? It was strange!
