After the Divorce: Crushed on My Lawyer Ex-wife

Chapter 182

#181 “I was Out of My Mind, You Know?”

As Sophia relaxed into Alexander’s embrace, a sense of comfort washed over her, enveloping her in a warmth that eased the tension in her body. She hugged him tightly, feeling the reassuring rhythm of his breath against her cheek as he gently ran his hands through her hair.

“I was out of my mind, you know? I love you so much,” Alexander whispered, his voice filled with sincerity and vulnerability.

Sophia’s heart swelled with affection at his words, her own love for him shining through in her response. “I love you too,” she murmured, snuggling closer to his chest. “Today has been such a crazy day.”

Alexander pulled back slightly, his gaze searching hers as he sought to understand her turmoil. “Why?” he asked, his brow furrowing with concern.

Sophia took a deep breath, gathering her thoughts before speaking. ”

Benjamin told me earlier that he loves me,” she confessed, her voice tinged with disbelief. “It completely caught me off guard. We’ve been friends since childhood, and I never expected him to feel that way about me.”

Sophia’s revelation about Benjamin’s confession left Alexander speechless. His shock was palpable as he struggled to process the news. His mind raced with conflicting emotions.

“He confessed to you?” Alexander asked, his voice tinged with incredulity.

Sophia nodded, her expression reflecting the confusion swirling within her. “Yes, he did. I didn’t know what to say, Alexander.”

Alexander tensed, he had to tell Sophia that Benjamin was her brother. However, he remained silent because he first wanted to know how she reacted to his confession. Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.

“You rejected him, right?” he asked, his voice soft but firm.

Sophia nodded. “Of course, I did. I could never see him that way, Alexander. You know that,” she reassured him, her voice filled with conviction.

Alexander’s relief flooded through him like a cool breeze on a hot day, soothing his frayed nerves and easing the tension that had built up within him. Despite the chaos swirling around them, there was a sense of calm knowing that Sophia had stayed true to him, rejecting Benjamin’s advances without hesitation.

“I’m glad to hear that, Sophia,” he said, his voice infused with sincerity and warmth. “Because you’re mine, and I’m not giving you up to anyone.”

Sophia’s smile widened at his words, a flicker of amusement dancing in her eyes as she met his gaze. “I wouldn’t have it any other way,” she replied, her voice filled with affection.

Alexander took her hand in his, intertwining their fingers as he gazed at her with adoration.

“Let’s forget about Benjamin,” she suggested a playful glint in her eyes. ” Come with me, I want to show you where I grew up.”

His heart soared at her invitation, and he nodded eagerly, a smile spreading across his face. “I’d love to,” he replied, his voice laced with excitement. “Lead the way, my love.”

Sophia guided Alexander through the winding corridors of her childhood home. Alexander decided he would tell her later when the situation was right and for now, he allowed himself to enjoy his time with her. 1

Each step seemed to evoke memories long forgotten, and with every turn, she shared snippets of her past with him. They paused at familiar landmarks – a weathered tree swing in the garden, a dusty bookshelf filled with childhood treasures-and laughed at the fond recollections they sparked.

Finally, they arrived at Sophia’s room. The room was a sanctuary, filled with mementos of her past and glimpses of her dreams for the future.

Turning to Alexander, Sophia’s eyes sparkled with unspoken sentiment. ” You know,” she began, “Since I’ve been here I really wanted you to be with me so I can share my past with you. ”

Alexander’s heart skipped a beat at her words, his gaze locked with hers in a silent exchange of understanding and affection. Without a word, he reached out and gently cupped her cheek, his touch tender and full of love.

“Sophia, sometimes I think I can’t love you more than this, but then you say something like that and I fall in love all over again.”

Feeling the electricity crackling in the air, Sophia turned sharply to Alexander. Without a word, she closed the distance between them and pressed her lips against his, her kiss a fervent declaration of her love.

At that moment, time seemed to stand still as they melted into each other, their bodies entwined in a passionate embrace. With each lingering touch, they poured their souls into the kiss, their love igniting like wildfire in the darkness.

As their lips parted, Sophia gazed into Alexander’s eyes, her breath coming in ragged gasps.

“Stay with me for the night,” she whispered, her eyes pleading with him to stay.

“Of course,” Alexander replied softly, his voice filled with warmth and reassurance. Sophia led Alexander to her bed, her heart pounding with anticipation. But as they settled in, the weight of reality came crashing down on them.

“Sophia, there is something I need to tell you,” Alexander began, his voice serious and somber.

“Yes?” Sophia replied, her curiosity piqued as she turned to face him.

“My father is back, and I have some bad news. I found out some things…”

“Alex, I also found something that is very bad,” Sophia interjected. “I managed to find documents that incriminate our grandfathers.”

Alexander’s brows furrowed in concern as he processed Sophia’s words.

“Enough with our peaceful evening,” Alexander sighed, his tone heavy with resignation. “Show me…”
