Alpha’s Predestined Bride

EPISODE 36 Alpha Carl Damien

MOON STONE PACK

The alpha’s eyes was fixated on Meagan and that helped to keep his wolf under control. Carl heard Jones laugh softly beside him and he looked at him. Jones was also watching Meagan. Julius arms went around his mate’s shoulders.

“You look sweet together.” Meagan commented with a smile on her face.

“I am the happiest man on earth this week because I am getting married to the woman I love the most in the whole world.” Julius pinched his mate’s cheeks.

“I am so happy for both of you. I wish you all the happiness in the world.” Meagan added.

“Thank you, best friend.” Hazel replied.

“Meagan, I hope you find someone soon too.” Beta Julius grinned.Belongs to © n0velDrama.Org.

The warlord crossed her mind but she waved off the thought of him.

Hazel gasped out all of a sudden. “I remember now! There is someone I want you to meet! He is the best man for our wedding and -”

Julius interrupted her. “He is my best friend.”

Hazel giggled. “Your partner for this wedding.” She grabbed her best friend’s hand and pulled her across the room. “I can’t wait to introduce you!” She said with excitement in her tone.

Meagan didn’t have a chance to protest. She didn’t want to meet anyone but she doesn’t have a choice. There were about ten men in the room fulfilling the functions of groomsmen and she doesn’t expect much from meeting any of them.

“You will definitely like him!” Hazel added.

Meagan looked away from their locked hands and out of the corners of her eyes she saw Carl standing right beside Jones. She was surprised to see him. She tried to pull to a stop but Hazel already dragged her to the same area. Perhaps is he the same man her best friend wants her to meet? She pondered.

Meagan tried to tell herself that he can’t be the same man but Carl was looking straight back at her and she looked away to avoid his gaze.

“Hi Carl, meet my best friend, Meagan Swift.” Hazel introduced briefly. “And Meagan, this is Carl Damien, the alpha of our great pack.”

Meagan’s head snapped up quickly with a wide eyes. The warlord is the alpha of moon stone pack! How come she never figured it out before now? She wondered.

Carl grinned up at Meagan. “It’s nice to meet you, Meagan Swift.” He acted like he doesn’t know her. He was doing a good job at putting up a perfect show of being a stranger while Meagan was acting out. She found it hard to believe that she had an adventure with an alpha over night. No, this can’t be happening! She said within herself.

Jones watched their reactions. Carl stretched out his hand for an handshake. Meagan forced a smile on her face and shook hands with him.

“Delighted to meet you too, alpha Carl Damien.” She managed to train her voice not to stutter.

“Why are you both acting like you haven’t met each other?” Jones snorted.

Hazel arched her eyebrows in confusion. “Have you met each other?” She asked.

“I saw them together at the Halloween party.” Jones answered.

“Really?” Julius said.

“No, I didn’t know he is the alpha. I only met him as a warlord that night.” Meagan’s response was quick and sharp. She didn’t want her best friend to think anything else.

“And we didn’t get to do much that night.” Carl added.

“Well that’s nice. You guys still have to work together for my wedding.” Hazel said with a shrug.

Meagan pulse raced at the smile on Carl’s face. The thought of locking arms with the warlord turned alpha to perform her function made her knees so weak. He hasn’t been attending rehearsals that’s why she never found out that he would be the same man. Several thoughts ran through her mind as she pictured his gleaming eyes and flashing smile from the Halloween party when he had walked up to her.

“I’ll do a better job to lead the men.” Carl smiled as Meagan avoided making an eye contact with him at all cost.

Julius slapped his best friend’s arm playfully. “Carl, I am sure you will do a good job today.”

Carl nodded his head. “I’ll try my best.”

“Listen Meagan, my best friend here knows a lot about you. My mate has done a good job at speaking good about you.” Julius laughed. And Carl wished he didn’t have to say those words to her.

Hazel nudged her best friend’s side. “I am sure you know something about my alpha now.” She winked as Meagan looked at her.

Meagan could feel her legs almost giving out as realization hit her straight in the face. And if she doesn’t sit down soon, she could feel herself crumbling to the ground. And with a feigned smile on her face, Meagan excused herself to visit the ladies toilet. The couple watched as Carl’s eyes followed Meagan and they exchanged glances.

“Jones, can you come over please?!” Brianna called him over to where she sat with Jeremy.

Julius cleared his throat to call at Carl’s attention. “So you have finally met my best friend after listening to me blab about her throughout the years. What do you think about her?” Hazel asked.

Carl didn’t say anything. “Come on Carl, I am sure she is your perfect type of woman.” Julius nudged his side.

Hazel giggled. “Yeah, he likes women with sculpted figure, nice legs and my best friend is your ideal type of woman.”

Julius nodded his head in agreement. “Why don’t you try to get to know her now?”

Carl was glad that Julius had forgotten he had informed him about meeting someone if not he would have spilled it out.

Hazel moved closer to the alpha. “You better make your move on her before Jones tries anything on his own path.”

Carl arched his eyebrows. “I expect that you should take sides with your cousin.”

“Sure he is my cousin, but my loyalty is to you. And moreover, Jones doesn’t have a chance with Meagan but he doesn’t want to accept it. As a matter of fact, I want you for my best friend. It’s not bad to have her here as a Luna.” Hazel joked.

Julius laughed. “He better quit for my best friend to have his way.” He said in a low tone.

“You guys are so silly. You both need to stop matchmaking me with all the women in the world.” Carl laughed.

“I tried to set you up with her some time ago but you refused. But here we are again in the same spot.” Julius whispered.

“And this could be destiny sending a signal to you.” Hazel smiled brightly and gave him an encouraging look that he didn’t want to see.

It’s surprising how they were encouraging him to get closer to the same woman he had refused to meet some years ago. Indeed destiny is a bitch for playing with him.

“I don’t think I want to have anything to do with your best friend. I am sorry.” Carl replied. He was fulfilling his promise of keep the adventure a secret. Nobody has to know.

Hazel sighed in frustration. “I give up on you.”

Julius smile also faded away at the alpha’s words. “I’ll let destiny decide your fate from now on.” He held out his hand towards his mate and they walked away to join Brianna.

Carl thought of going after Meagan but he couldn’t do it not when anyone could easily predict his movements. He didn’t miss her expression when Hazel had introduced him as the alpha but he is more interested in the aftermath once the rehearsal is over.

Alpha Carl Damien decided that he would say something to her during the rehearsal and probably see her afterwards to talk things out.
