Chapter 1415 Hugh's Persistence
Chapter 1415 Hugh's Persistence
Lilly's cheeks were flushed, and she was still filled with excitement.
She had mastered the manipulation of time and space.
Not only could she instantly travel to the Palace of Emperor Prosper, but she could also freeze time. It
had only taken her half a minute to gather the free-range chickens and mushrooms and return, right?
This was much more convenient than the "elevator!"
In the past, the "elevator" determined the distance of a teleportation formation. She "teleported" by
continuously constructing short-distance "elevators," which was troublesome and drained her spiritual
energy. Original from NôvelDrama.Org.
But teleportation with the spatial order was different. It was true teleportation. With just a thought, she
could appear wherever she desired. As long as she had been to that place before, there was nowhere
she couldn't reach.
Seeing Lilly's immense power, Bettany felt completely at ease.
If her granddaughter possessed such power, nothing could defeat her.
Bettany happily asked Blake to bring the pile of things into the kitchen. Hugh followed along, walking
behind her with his hands behind his back.
However, the more he helped, the worse things got.
With a roll of her eyes, Bettany asked, "What do you want?"
Hugh smiled, "Aren't you worried anymore?"
Bettany explained, "Lilly is already at the pinnacle of spiritualism. What is there to worry about?"
Hugh nodded in approval. "That's right. Then you are a fairy grandmother."
This statement had a double meaning, praising Lilly and calling her a fairy.
Meanwhile, Blake stood silently to the side. Can you guys not see me? I'm still here.
Unlike the comfort Bettany and Hugh felt, Blake felt intense uneasiness.
The more powerful his daughter became, the more challenging the Test of Thunder would be.
In addition, the last Test of Thunder involved breaking through the shackles and defying the
Manifestation of God's will.
Blake was still uncertain even after the Five Emperors of the Underworld had bestowed their great
fortune upon her in this lifetime. Could she succeed? Would that be too much pressure for her? How
could he assist her?
On New Year's Eve, every household would start cooking early, especially large families like the
Crawford family. Margaret and the others had been busy since morning.
With the addition of several spontaneous "special dishes," it would probably be around 3.00 p.m.
before they could have their New Year's Eve dinner. Everyone arrived early this year, so they didn't
have to wait until evening.
When Quinnie entered the house, she caught a whiff of an extraordinary fragrance. Compared to the
smell of fish and meat in every household, this fragrance had an indescribable allure.
By Christmas every year, they would grow tired of eating everything, especially meat. They were so
sick of it that they wanted to run away at the sight of it and only wanted to have some vegetables.
"What dish is that? It smells so good," Quinnie curiously asked.
Lilly rushed to the door to greet her, "Aunt Quinnie."
Quinnie still wasn't used to being called "Aunt Quinnie," and her most memorable memory of Lilly was
when she used to call her "Quinnie."
"Oh my, you've grown, Lilly." Quinnie couldn't help but feel delighted. "I haven't seen much of you in
these past few years, so I'm not used to you calling me Aunt Quinnie."
Grace peeked her head out from behind and greeted everyone one by one. "Hello, Old Mr. Crawford,
everyone."
Tilting her head, Lilly exclaimed, "Grace. Why haven't you taken office yet? Grandma has been waiting
so long that her hair has turned white."
Grace glanced at her and rebuked, "Her hair was already white."
Lilly was surprised. "So, you've seen her."
Grace nodded, not saying much.
Lilly then looked at the baby in Quinnie's arms and asked, "Can I hold the baby?"
Quinnie handed the baby to her. "Of course!"
With the baby in her arms, Lilly happily played with him while the little one held onto her fingers and
wouldn't let go.
"The last time we had such a small baby was Matthan."
Time really did fly.
"Has he been given a name?" Lilly asked.
Quinnie sat down next to her and replied, "Of course he has. We have to register his identity. His name
is Riley Crawford."
Anthony was the eldest brother, followed by Drake and Josh, and then came Matthan. Therefore, Hugh
decided that this generation would all be named in alphabetical order.
Girls' names could sound gentle and beautiful, so they need not abide by the naming rules. It all
depended on his wife's decision.
As for boys, they all had to follow the naming rules.
"How was the naming rule decided?" Lilly asked Hugh.
Hugh said, "In the past, the older generation liked to use auspicious meanings like 'fortune,' 'prosperity,'
'longevity,' and 'happiness' to determine how their descendants should be named. Our family uses
alphabetical order with meanings like 'courageous,' 'intelligent,' 'noble,' 'loyal,' and 'happy.'"
Lilly nodded. So that meant Matthan's baby would have a name that meant "intelligent." But it seemed
a bit challenging to come up with a name with that meaning.
The next generation would be "noble," which seemed to have fewer boy names.
As for the following generations, it seemed like it wouldn't be hard to find names for them.
Edward laughed and said, "Dad, it seems like you already have the names of the coming eight
generations planned. How can anyone have so many children?"
Hearing that, Hugh scolded with a stern face, "How can we not have that many? You guys have to
keep having them. Now that the policy allows for three children, you should all learn from your eldest
brother and have three each. That would make twenty-four in total. That way, our family will have
endless descendants."
The Crawford brothers fell silent.
If one were to ask what Hugh's obsession was, it would be having children.
In the past, the Crawford family only had one bearer of the family name. Therefore, before the eldest
generation passed away, they would instruct their sons and grandsons to have more children and that
the Crawford family must become the most prominent family in Dudroinia.
Therefore, Hugh still held a strong desire to have numerous offspring.
Bryson stood up and declared, "I'll go check the manual and oversee the work."
Edward hurriedly left, stating, "I'll go inspect our estate. There have been severe snowstorms recently,
so I need to assess the situation and ensure our safety."
Max rose and said, "I'll assist in the kitchen."
Gilbert mentioned, "Oh, there's a patient calling. I'll answer the phone."
Soon, only Anthony and Liam remained in the living room.
When Hugh glanced in his direction, Liam mumbled, "Please avert your gaze. I am already married and
blessed with two children. I have no intention of entering into another marriage."
Hugh responded with an exasperated expression.
