Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 143

Alicia watched as the two of them were talking by the entrance, looking very intimate. It seemed that they had just finished their dinner.

As she watched from a distance, the food in her mouth suddenly felt like it was stuck in her throat. He was eating delicacies in a high-end hotel, yet she could only have a two-dollar bread as she ate it with a cold breeze blowing over her.

Subconsciously, Alicia started choking with emotions. Hadn't she let it go? Why did she still feel miserable?

She sniffed and noticed that the traffic light had already turned green. Thus, she reverted her gaze and headed the other direction.

At the same time, Hannah reeked of alcohol in front of the hotel entrance. She was still a little tipsy.

Frederick held her arm and didn't say anything.

"Frederick, I'm about to leave. Wouldn't you miss me at all? But, I feel so upset..."

"All good things will come to an end! Hannah, I know you are a smart girl." Frederick's tone did not sound fierce at all. He was giving her time to accept reality.

"Frederick, if I didn't tell you that Danica is coming back, would you even have had dinner with me?"

Hannah was still hopeful even though she was drunk and tugged his sleeve.

However, Frederick remained silent.

He wouldn't.

With that, she spoke in self-deprecation.

"Frederick, you are so heartless! You even refuse to lie to me... Danica is coming back, thus I'll have nothing to do with you anymore!"

She wanted to vomit but she couldn't. She hit on her own chest as she felt unbearable pain.

Frederick raised his hand and handed her a piece of tissue. "Hannah, you deserve to be with a better person! You just haven't had a relationship yet. When you meet the right person, you will understand!"

When he first met her, she was not even 18 years old! How could he have feelings for such a young girl?

Moreover, she was the cousin of Danica. He couldn't treat her more than just his sister. He hated complicated relationships!

She crouched down and couldn't help crying out loud, "I won't!"

If she hadn't met him, she wouldn't have gotten her hopes up and fell for him. But currently, how would she ever meet someone who was more excellent and attractive than Frederick?

Her cousin had been away for so many years and he had never had a woman by his side. It took her a lot of effort to pluck up her courage. Why didn't things go the way she wanted?

Hannah felt displeased, but at this moment, she felt that there was no need to fight for it. It was because she was not capable and qualified to get him.

Frederick didn't say anything else. He just stood there and accompanied her. After seeing that she had vented her emotions, he sent her home.

When he started the car engine again, his mood was a little unstable. Then, he picked up his cell phone and dialed a number.

"Carson, are you free? Let's have a drink at our usual spot!" © NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.

At East Bannpool, as soon as Wyatt and Trevor walked in, they noticed that Frederick had already opened a bottle of red wine. He picked up his glass and drank it all in one gulp.

"What's wrong? Are you in a bad mood?"

While they were talking, Carson headed in as well.

"It must be, since you called us to come out! It's rare to see Master Frederick in such an upset state, huh?"

After pouring Carson a glass of red wine, Trevor continued, "Why do you make it sound like he's from another world?"

As soon as he spoke, Wyatt exchanged glances with Carson and they spoke at the same time, "It's definitely unrelated to business!"

Otherwise, it was impossible for Trevor to speak in such a relaxed manner!

He must be upset due to private matters. What could it be that was bothering him so much?

Trevor looked up and paused as well before he continued, "Is it because of the new member of your family? I seem to have seen her in the media corporation's building today..."

"Alicia?"

Frederick frowned and his face darkened. "What was she doing there?"

Trevor shrugged.

"I'm not sure. It was just a short glance at the elevator door. The woman kind of looked like her. Maybe she was there to look for a friend."

Judging from Frederick's face, it wasn't because of her!

They all looked at him in confusion and Frederick restrained his emotions. He then raised his glass and downed the wine again. He uttered in a deep voice.

"Danica is coming back!"

The next second, they spoke in unison again, "How did you know?"

Frederick turned his head and narrowed his eyes as he thought to himself, "Did they all know?"

After a slight cough, Carson returned to his senses and was the first to reply.

"Frederick, we didn't know until recently! I have been wanting to tell you but I was interrupted every time. Besides, you are now... We don't know whether we should mention it to you or not!"

Nodding, Wyatt patted Frederick on the shoulder and spoke.

"No matter what her reasons were for not saying goodbye last time, she still left in the end. Moreover, she might have betrayed you, don't you think? She left in silence and has not returned since. I feel like she may have some intentions of coming back this time."

Trevor sighed before making a remark.

"Recently, I have received definite news that the Randolph Group is not doing well. It seems that it has not been doing well since a few years ago and it is basically an empty shell now! Soon, the company would be wound down. The Randolph Group is struggling."

"She won't try her old trick again, will she? Frederick, didn't you suspect her to be involved in the stolen commercial contract with East Valiant Commerce? We just didn't have any evidence and we didn't want to believe that it was the kind little girl, who we grew up together with, who did it! Although her parents have some influence, she was still very kind!"

After taking a look at Frederick, Carson could not help but sigh. He really wanted to ask him what he was thinking. After a long time, he uttered with confusion.

"Frederick, do you still have feelings for her?"

However, she had been gone for almost six years! Moreover, she left him at his most crucial moment with a stab on his back.

The two of them were once a very close and sweet couple. They loved each other so much that it was impossible for them to be parted.

In an instant, Carson didn't know what to say.

After all, Danica had done a lot of things for Frederick. In order to take care of him when he got sick, she even got admitted into the hospital due to exhaustion.

In order to celebrate his birthday, she learned to cook as she had never cooked before. Finally, she could cook a table of dishes for him and even made his favorite food for him.

If he said that her love was fake, it seemed to be a little unreasonable.

But at present, he had another woman and he was married!

It was just that she couldn't get Mrs. Clements's approval!

Most importantly, Carson felt that the feelings Frederick had for Alicia were quite sincere too!

Frederick couldn't tell what he was feeling, therefore he remained silent. Then, he swirled the red wine in his hand again before raising his glass and drank it all.
