Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 167

As if Jeremy had returned to the past, he couldn't help muttering to himself, "Our favorite butterflies, our love pledge, and our agreement! You have never forgotten about me, have you?"

Instinctively, Alicia took a step back and avoided his hand. When she was about to deny it, she saw a tall figure appear before her as she lifted her head up.

Suddenly, Alicia was stunned and her mind went blank. She opened her mouth in surprise and blinked her eyes in disbelief.

Frederick?

Tears were welling up in Jeremy's eyes. As his back was facing the other way, he did not see the person behind him. He was so agitated that he stepped forward and hugged her tightly. His eyes were red too.

"Ally!"

Jeremy held her tightly as he couldn't control his feelings. Then, he kissed her forehead unconsciously.

Alicia, who was struggling, was so scared that she completely forgot how to react. After being stunned momentarily, she pushed him away with all of her strength.

"Let me go!"

Her gaze fell behind Jeremy. In a blink of an eye, she'd walked past Jeremy and she fixed her eyes on that man.

Their eyes met. Alicia's reaction was instinctive but she couldn't calm down at that instant. She was trembling but she didn't say anything.

Looking at the scene in front of him, Frederick gave off an air that was frosting cold. It was so icy that it felt terrifying!

Frederick then turned around and strode away with big steps. He bumped into Carson, who just managed to catch up at this instant.

"Ouch, Frederick-"

After finally catching up to Frederick, Carson staggered again as he bumped into Frederick. When he looked back, he saw Alicia with tears all over her face. He also saw Jeremy behind her, whose clothes were in disarray and his face livid with rage.

Carson's eyes widened. What was going on?

He frowned and looked at Alicia before he spun around to chase after Frederick again.

Tears flowed uncontrollably down her cheeks like a waterfall. She subconsciously took a few steps to chase after him as she mouthed 'hubby'. However, in just a few steps, she suddenly halted and clenched her drooping fists.

Why did she have to chase after him?

She tried her best to suppress the surging emotions in her heart but the gushing tears and her moving feet had all betrayed her thoughts.

Jeremy's face was as pale as ashes, his expression ugly.

Confused and in tears, Alicia headed back to the bathroom while wiping away her tears. She cleaned herself up and composed herself before coming out.

Although she held her head and chest high, walking elegantly, her eyes were empty and hollow.

When she returned to the banquet hall, she was blocked by Carson before she could find Victoria. He gave her a sidelong glance and sighed helplessly.

"Frederick is waiting for you. Go home in half an hour!"

He had never seen a woman who was so bold. Normally, when a woman could get close to Frederick, she would feel extremely elated and blessed.

However,Alicia not only bad-mouthed him behind his back, she even dared to flirt with a man in front of him. That really made Frederick annoyed. How could she even be in the mood to attend a party? What was she even thinking? Was she trying to look for trouble?

Looking at her, Carson sympathized with her but admired her as well. Maybe it was because of these qualities that made Alicia different from all the other girls.

Carson couldn't explain why but even at this time, he did not hate her.

Could it really be that pretty people have privileges?

He couldn't wrap his head around it.

"Oh, thank you!"

Carson knitted his eyebrows as he noticed that she was still in no hurry. After that, she was still proceeding to head inside. Carson hurriedly grabbed her again.

"Where are you going?"

Didn't he make it clear? Was his tone not serious enough?

"My friend is still in there. I have to tell her that I am leaving."

Raising his head, Carson rolled his eyes speechlessly. How did Frederick fall in love with someone like her?

Could it be that he had finally met his one true 'opponent'? Text © by N0ve/lDrama.Org.

The two of them weren't worried but Carson was the one who was anxious instead. What was going on with these two?

While Carson was still lost in his thoughts, Alicia left him behind and went in to look for Victoria.

As Frederick had asked him to pass the message to her, Carson did not dare to leave on his own. He then waited at the door not far away. He was worried that if something bad happened, Frederick would blame it on him!

When Alicia came out, more than ten minutes had passed.

Carson only breathed a sigh of relief when he sent her back to her car, watching her leave. "My God, today had finally come to an end! Why did I even try to meddle with their business? Today's gathering had been ruined once again!" he thought.

Along the way, Alicia drove the car slowly. She was not as nervous as before, nor was she as anxious as before. She was like an empty shell without a soul.

After getting out of the car, she didn't look at the time. She also didn't forget to take her large plushy out from the back seat.

Victoria chose the light- colored Rilakkuma, therefore she was left with the dark brown Rilakkuma - the one that Marshall gave her.

Holding the soft plush toy, Alicia unconsciously lowered her head and buried her head in it. She held onto it even tighter as her cold body and mind seemed to have been warmed up by it.

Looking up, she took a deep breath before walking into the house.

Alicia had already thought of the worst- case scenario, which she would be ready to deal with later. She came back with the idea of not giving a d*mn. Therefore, she was fearless this time.

Pushing the door open, as expected, he was sitting in a familiar position at the bar, drinking a glass of expensive red wine.

Holding the plushy tightly, Alicia unconsciously shrank her neck and bit her lower lip gently.

After hesitating for a while, she walked toward him slowly. She stopped a few steps away from him and timidly looked up at him. She parted her lips slightly, her hands holding onto the plushy tightly.

Unexpectedly, Frederick did not smash a glass this time. He glanced at her, then raised his hand to look at his watch.

Alicia's heart skipped a beat.

There was no need to look at it. She knew that she must have taken more than half an hour.

She thought that she would be done no matter what, hence she chose to just stand there and remain silent.

She was 20 minutes late!

The cold pair of eyes gave her a once-over. After a long time, Frederick still did not say anything. The two of them maintained their ground, the room filled with a suffocating silence.

As the clock ticked, Frederick lightly swirled the red wine glass in his hand and Alicia remained standing still.
