Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 751

Their gazes met. Seeing that she was still awake, Trevor dropped his suitcase and strode forward to give her a big hug and said, "Vicky, happy birthday!"

He remembered that was what she wanted.

He was still panting. After taking a breath, Trevor apologized, "I'm sorry, I'm late!"

Fortunately, she was still awake!

Just as a trace of relief flashed in the bottom of his heart, the very next second, Victoria slowly pushed his hands away and said in an icy tone, "My birthday is over!"

That was the worst birthday of her life!

Sure enough, the greater the expectation, the greater the disappointment! She was actually happier being muddle-headed like before.

Following her sight, Trevor saw the clock hanging on the wall. It was exactly ten past twelve!

Trevor felt an indescribable feeling in his heart, and words were lingering in his mouth. However, he couldn't utter even one word. He knew that he had broken his promise! No matter what the reason was, he failed to keep his words!

Except for "sorry", he really couldn't find any other words to say. However, he really didn't want to keep repeating that same word.

His heart was full of regret and apologies. Before he could react, Victoria had already pushed him away and walked to the bed. She was not angry, and she did not blame him. However, she did not say anything either. She lifted the quilt and just lay on the bed.

When Trevor went after her to the bed, she had already closed her eyes, and she was clearly being cold and was ignoring him.

His lips parted for a while. In the end, he placed the gift on her dressing table.

He felt that he should do something for her, so he turned around and went downstairs. She needed to have noodles on her birthday!

In the kitchen, Trevor made a bowl of noodles for her and fried a few eggs. Then, he picked out the slightly burnt edges, which made it looked slightly better!

Holding the bowl, as soon as he turned around, he inadvertently glanced at the loaded trash can at the corner. Looking at the roses and cake box poking out of it, Trevor's heart twitched again.

All of those were supposed to be done by him when he came home!

He didn't expect that...

Going upstairs, he gently put the bowl aside on the bedside table. "I'm sorry that I didn't come home in time! Vicky, I never forgot about your birthday! Happy birthday..." Trevor said apologetically.

He didn't expect everything to happen so coincidentally! He had tried his best to hurry and he even got a private jet, but he was still late by ten minutes!

Upset, he sat at the corner of the bed for a long time. He was exhausted, so he got up, took his pajamas and went into the bathroom.

Upon hearing the sound of running water, Victoria slowly opened her eyes and glanced at the noodles on the bedside table. She then gently shut her eyes again.

Trevor spent all night thinking about what happened. The next morning, Trevor intentionally woke up early. In the kitchen, he asked the servants to marinate some steaks. He also personally made a small bowl of noodles for Victoria. He grilled the steak and cut it into small pieces. He put them on top of the noodles with the intention of combining the birthday meal and candlelight dinner. Regardless, he just wanted to make it up to her and make her happier.

In the kitchen, Trevor was busy preparing the food diligently. However, when Victoria finally woke up, the first thing she saw was the untouched label on his suitcase with Korean wordings and numbers all over it, which should be the labels that were left on it from baggage check-in! Victoria suspected.

Sure enough, it was just like how she expected!

Victoria forced a smile, but she wasn't feeling anything anymore at that point.

After washing up, Victoria packed her bag. Initially, she had planned to spend the whole morning with him However at that moment, she didn't want to stay any longer in the house. Hence, she contacted the supplier and got ready to visit the factory earlier than planned.

While making a phone call, Victoria went downstairs. She looked at the clock and realized it was nearing nine o'clock. Then, she remembered her lunch appointment with Alicia that afternoon. Her initial plan was to have lunch then shop around for her birthday. These were all planned the day before. A supposedly great weekend plan had somehow turned into a disaster from the very beginning.

She estimated her time and realized that she had no time for breakfast anymore. However, her stomach was feeling funny, hence Victoria went to the kitchen to check if there was anything that she bring to eat on the road.

"Aunt McGowan, do you have any bread..." She asked.

She looked up and met with Trevor's gaze. Victoria was surprised, stopped and thought to herself. Did he not leave?

"You're awake! Let's eat! I made noodles specially for you!" Trevor exclaimed. He didn't know whether he should bring up the incident from the day before. Words were lingering by his mouth but in the end, he swallowed his words.

Glancing around, Victoria did not say

a word. From the corner of her eyes,

she saw that Aunt McGowan was passing by. She turned and asked, "Aunt McGowan, is there any bread left? I'm in a hurry to head out and want to take it as my breakfast!"

As she spoke, she felt a little upset about the birthday cake from last night. She was so angry that she threw everything away! She should have kept it for breakfast.

"Yes, there is. Madam Victoria, they are all in the kitchen cab!" Aunt McGowan responded.

Following Aunt McGowan, Victoria picked a small cake in a box and headed out.

Behind her, Trevor was dumbfounded for a short while and immediately chased after her. At the door, he grabbed her hand and said, "Vicky, I'm sorry about yesterday and for making you unhappy! I didn't mean to. Something happened..."Exclusive content © by Nô(v)el/Dr/ama.Org.

"I know! My birthday is over, and I've accepted your apology. I'm not unhappy, but I'm in a rush. Let's talk about it when I come home!" Victoria coldly responded.

Pushing his hands away, Victoria went into the car, as if she was running away from him.

Standing behind her, Trevor was at a loss for words.

When he returned to his room, he found that the gift he left on the table was untouched since the last night!

"Ah..."

Trevor couldn't help but sighed. Men planned, and God laughed!

He frowned, and he didn't know what to do. He suddenly thought of something and called to check on Selena's condition. Upon checking on her condition, he couldn't hide his exhaustion.

"Okay, I understand! Let's discuss it again when I'm there!" He replied.

Hearing that Selena's condition was not great and looking at the time, Trevor left again in a hurry, hoping that he would be able to get there earlier and return before the sky turned dark.

After finishing the work at hand, Victoria rushed to the hotel. "Sorry for being late, I was stuck in traffic!" Victoria apologized.

"It's all right. You are the birthday girl! Happy birthday, here's your belated birthday present! Hehe..." Alicia greeted.

Smiling, Alicia handed her an exquisitely packaged box and said, "The perfume is specially made for you, using the gardenia scent that you like as the base..."

Seeing the plate of appetizer which was almost empty, it was obvious that Alicia had waited for a while.

"Thank you... Sure enough, you know me the best! Ally, let's order first! We can talk while we eat!" Victoria uttered.

Each of them took a menu and casually looked through it. Alicia ordered a few simple dishes while Victoria flipped through the menu a few times, and couldn't help but went back to look at the signature dishes on the first page.

"pepper meat...!" she muttered.

Confused, Alicia looked up at her and asked, "Since when did you like to eat this? Don't you only like spicy food but not peppers?"
