Belong to the Lycan Alpha

Chapter 17

Ruby couldn’t understand with the animosity that luna Jasmine showed to her when she didn’t do anything, she only wanted to be close with her, but it seemed, whatever she was doing, it was a mistake in the luna’s eyes.

It was even so wrong for her to merely breathing.

“Why do you hate me so much? Why don’t you like me? What did I do that make you hate me like this?” At first, it was Aiden and now it was his mother, it felt like they didn’t even think of her as someone, whose heart could be hurt too. They treated her even worse than a garbage.

On the other hand, seeing Ruby was having a meltdown, it didn’t make luna Jasmine sympathized with her, if anything, she scoffed distastefully.

She had never liked her ever since Aiden mentioned it in his letter that he got someone else pregnant. Luna Jasmine had been so adamant for him not to bring the girl back to the pack. Her solution was; for them to pay the girl to raise the baby on her own, while they provided everything for the two of them.

What luna Jasmine was afraid of something like this would happen. She only wanted Lilac to be the future luna of the pack, the girl, who had been under her tutelage for the last year, therefore, she didn’t want all of her effort to go into the drain.

Yet, Aiden brought this slut back because he felt guilty to have his child was being raised outside of the pack. He felt a strong sense of responsibility toward Ruby and the baby, but it was until he realized he had messed up big times and his chance to be with Lilac was close to zero, in which he freaked out and regretted his decision for not hearing what his mother had suggested.

“I hate you. There is nothing wrong with you. I simply hate you and your existence alone is already enough reason for me to hate you” Luna Jasmine glanced at her stomach. “I hope the baby is nothing like you. A cheap thing.”

“It was your son, who seduced me first!” Ruby screamed, but unfortunately for her, no one heard her, because the music was so loud and no one paid attention to them, since they enjoy this party so much. thus what she said could only be heard by luna Jasmine, who lost her cool and landed a harsh slap on her cheek.

“Slut!” she hissed viciously. Probably, this was the first time for her to actually slap someone so harsh in the public. “Give birth to the baby and scram from this pack! You are not welcome here!”

Luna Jasmine wanted to slap Ruby again, but she held herself back, because she didn’t want something bad happened to her future grandchild, no matter how much she hated to admit it, but the baby was still Aiden’s, thus she didn’t want to harm her own flesh and blood.

Ruby put her hand over her aching cheek and tried to hold back her tears, as she retreated, afraid that she would get slapped again. She lowered her head and watched luma Jasmine’s retreating figure.

All she wanted was a family of her own, but it was so hard for her to even get one, even the father of her child didn’t want to be with her. Aiden didn’t even try to be polite or fake his kindness again now he realized he couldn’t lose his destined mate.

Ruby wiped her tears and decided to go back to her own bedroom, there was no point to be in this party, where she didn’t know anyone and she was not even welcomed.

With that thought, she wiped her eyes roughly and went away.

The signing of the peace treaty went very well, the seven alphas chatted with each other amicably, though there was still a few grudges between them, because of so many warrior from each parties had

And after a few pleasantries, Hunter finally excused himself, because he was no longer able to hold back his boredom with this fake smile that he got from the other alphas,

“If there is nothing else, I will go first and enjoy the party,” Hunter said. He stood up and gave them his brightest smile.

“Yes, please. Enjoy the party, after all, this party is for you,” alpha James said. He reciprocated his smile and nodded politely.

Hypocrite.

Hunter then went out of the room and sighed deeply and dramatically, once the door was closed behind him. “I feel like I am going to die if I stay a little bit longer there,” he grumbled to himself.

After he was alone, he looked at his left and right, trying to decide where Lilac had gone. Probably, she had gone back to her bedroom, since she looked a little bit drunk.

The thought of it, brought smile to his l*ps, because it was indeed his intention to let her loose a little bit so she wouldn’t stuck up with her problem with that bastard of mate.

However, he didn’t expect that Lilac was a light drinker. He should have known that since the beginning when he saw how her face had turned red even in the first glass.

“Should I go back! This party is boring. Hunter mumbled to himself, as he walked in the corridor and caught Lilac’s scent. It was faint, but he managed to track it down.

After all, a lycan had stronger senses than those werewolves, thus he was able to find Lilac in one of the empty bedrooms, she was fast asleep and looked so cute in her vulnerable state.

“How lucky I am to find you here,” Hunter grinned and then entered the bedroom.
