Betrothed To The Mafia Lord

Chapter 105

Chapter 105

Luca’s POV

“How do all these people get your mail?” James started to say after a few minutes and a calm silence

had settled over us. I turned my head around a little until I was facing his direction once again before

starting to speak. “Oh, that. My email address is always linked to my socials, that’s probably where

everyone gets them from.”

“How about you don’t take this email off your social media accounts? Y’know you said you were

planning to hand this mail address over to your secretaries, and you’d most definitely create another

one. Instead of adding and linking it to your socials like you’d have done normally, how about you don’t

do it this time? If not, by the looks of things, you’d be forced to abandon this email address as well,

after some time.” James paused and dragged his eyes off the phone which he was still currently on to

stare into my face before continuing. “And it would also be good if your secretaries handled this mail

address, I scrolled some way downward and there are so many business and partnerships proposals

and suggestions which you didn’t even check.”

“You’d be losing so many business deals this way, and I’m sure the rumors about you being a stuck up

and arrogant man would only be increasing this way – not like I want people to get another picture of

you in their heads though, but you get what I mean, right?” James started to say after a few seconds

and I nodded my head at me as soon as his whole words were out of his mouth.

“I’d give the mail address to the secretaries tomorrow, they’d take it up from there.” I said to James and

watched as he nodded his head absent mindedly before finally closing the email icon. I expected him to

hand me back my phone since he was obviously done with going through some of my mails, but

instead, he clicked on another app icon and was inside Instagram in the very next second.

“Whoa, your notifications are a whole lot here…” James started to say before trailing off and staring air

eyed at the phone, so out of curiosity, I looked into the phone as well, after leaning forward a little, and I

saw that he was checking the amount of tags that I had.

“Man… you have over ten thousand tags, how is that even possible?” He demanded and glanced up

from the phone to stare at me like he expected me to have an answer to his question but I only

shrugged my shoulders at him as I leaned backwards until I was resting on the back rest of the couch

once again.

“I don’t know, man. I’ve been avoiding that app for a while now, so I don’t even know. And I almost

never check my tags, because they’re always so many and I wouldn’t even know whose account to

check first and whose to ignore.” I explained to James after a few seconds and watched as nodded his

head a few seconds without glancing up at me.

“Do you ever check your direct messages requests?” I heard James’ voice start to ask after about a

few minutes and I ignored him as well as the question, because the answer was way too obvious at the

moment. I never checked those stuff, because like I had said, they’d be too much and I wouldn’t know

whrr where to start from, so I mostly steer clear off that part of Instagram. This content © Nôv/elDr(a)m/a.Org.

“Man, there are so many verified accounts in here, Jesus.” I heard James exclaim out of curiosity,

because I didn't know what he had just said, because even though I was popular, I wasn’t all that

popular. I leaned over and stared into the phone along with James, watching as he scrolled through the

messages request line and I watched in shock and bewilderment as tons of verified accounts were right

there in my inbox request.

“What the fuck.” I whispered directly Into James’ ears without even realizing it and watched as the

headings of some of those verified accounts messages were business related.

Jesus.

“What the fuck are you doing with your socials, Luca?” James finally sighed out and I huffed before

pushing myself away from him and returning back to laying my back against the backrest of the couch.

“Give me my phone,” I said to him with my hand held out and watched as James ignored me and kept

on scrolling through the notification requests.

“Y’know, I for one, didn’t know you’ve gotten this popular to be very honest, we’d have used it to our

own benefit assuming I knew your popularity had increased drastically in the short span of a week, and

you didn’t do any damn thing except to get married to a stunning as fuck girl.” James mused audibly

while still scrolling through the messages requests and I dragged in a deep breath into my lungs and

puffed it out as soon as tbe last few words of his sentence sank into my head.

I knew exactly why I was feeling this way at the moment, a certain part of my mind was hating the fact

that James had referred to Sofia as a stunning as fuck girl. It was obvious that Sofia's was were

stunning. She was stunningly beautiful and I had been trying to ignore that detail about her, but each

time I stared at her face, it was always getting harder for me to keep on ignoring that fact, and coupled

with the fact that she was off limits in my head.

I knew I shouldn’t even be feeling what I was currently feeling towards James because I knew James

was just being honest and nothing more, but my mind just wouldn’t agree with some reasonings and

had instead chooses ignore any point I’ve been trying to make on behalf of James for the past few

minutes – like the way it usually does each time I tried to convince myself that Sofia wasn’t drop dead

gorgeous.

I lifted my hands up and dragged all eight fingers through my hair all at once as I shifted on my spot on

the couch and tried to get in a more comfortable position. I leaned forward and placed my elbows on

my thighs, dragging in a deep breath slowly into my lungs and puffing it out ever so slowly as I glanced

around the sitting room and stared straight at the clock on the other side of the room, it was currently

some minutes before it gets to eleven p.m in the night.

I turned around and stared at James before stretching my hands out to him in request for my phone,

and he placed my phone in my palm after a few seconds. I got out of Instagram as soon as the phone

was back in my palms and I got into my iMessage app to check if I have gotten some new messages.

“Are you sure you’re not going to end up getting a handler for your socials? It seems like this is way too

much work for you and I’d advise you to get someone to help in running the accounts for you.” James

breathed out after a few seconds and I hummed low ijn my throat as I nodded my head absentmindedly

while replying to a few texts which had come in hours ago.

“I don’t know, I’d be feeling like the person was getting way too involved in my personal life. I mean, it

was quite different from a mail address.” I finally replied to James as soon as I was done typing in a

reply to one of my head leads of one of the security teams.

James shook his head Instantly and started to speak almost immediately. “It wouldn’t feel like thst, it

would be like a huge weight is being lifted off your shoulders that way. The person would be someone

you really trust and you can be able to see everything the person does in your account because it

would still be logged here in your phone.” James explained and I stared at him while absent mindedly

biting on a part of my lower lips as all what he had said sank into my head after a few seconds.

“Sounds really good if I am going to be honest, there’s just one problem.” I said to James and he

nodded his head at me in a sign for me to continue what I was saying. “Who am I going to hand the

account over to? That is, if I am going to be doing it though. I haven’t completely decided yet, but if I

end up agreeing to do it, who am I going to be giving it to?” I demanded a few moments later while

staring at James.
