Betrothed To The Mafia Lord

Chapter 287

Chapter 287

Luca’s POV

“Do you think he’s going to like me?” Sofia asked in a small voice as soon as I glanced down at her.

We were currently both making our way down the stairs and she had started to tug on my hand unt I

had glanced down at her, and then she had asked me what question. It was almost funny to just think

about it because I could remember Armani being worried about this same thing as well, hours ago. I

breathed out a small breath and started to speak.

“Of course, bunny. He’s going to like you a whole lot.” I said to her after a few moments had passed

and I hummed a little. She finally stopped chewing at the insides of her cheeks as she made to speak.

“Really? You think so?” She asked tentatively, her hand still gripping mine tightly. I knew without having

to think about it that she was really nervous at this very moment. I’d have told her about the fact that

Armani had also been nervous about this same thing, but then I didn’t want to do that because I wanted

to two of them to get to know each other without both people knowing about the fact that the other party

was nervous about if they were going to get liked or not.

“Yes, bunny. I am. He’s going to like you.” I said to her after a moment and waited until she finally

started to nod her head in response to me.

“Are you alright?” I asked after a couple of moments and watched as she nodded her head instantly.

She puffed out a deep breath and dragged in another one instantly, blinking up at me and smiling a

little. She was very nervous and it was so easy for me to be able to tell.

“Are you nervous, bunny?” I asked after a fleeting moment and I watched as she huffed out a slow

breath and shrugged her shoulders a little before starting to nod her head in response to my question.

“Yeah, I am… a little.” She finally admitted and I felt a warm spot start to ache in the middle of my chest

as I stared at her as she began to fidget after a couple of seconds.

“You’re a lot nervous, bunny.” I pointed out after some time, watching as she smiled a little before

starting to nod her head once again, a light shade of blush steering her cheeks in the next moment.

“Don’t be nervous, Armani is really friendly, you’ll see for yourself when we get there.” I started to speak

after some time, pulling her into my side and pressing a kiss into the side of her head.

“He is?” She mumbled and I hummed a little after a couple of seconds had passed.

“Yea, bunny… he is.” I paused and used my other hand to brush her hair out of her face to tuck it

behind her ear. She had ended up leaving her hair to hang down around her because it hadn’t worked

out when she had attempted to pack it into a particular style and we had already spent way too much

time up there in the bedroom for people who were supposed to be downstairs with my brother.

“He’s also excited to meet you.” I added after a few moments of after thoughts. I felt her start to squirm

against me as she stared up at me.

“He is?” She asked, a hopeful ting visible at the edge of her voice. I nodded my head a little after a

moment, humming a little as I leaned down and pressed another kiss into the middle of her hair this

time.

“You’d see for yourself.” I said to her as I began to pull away, and I extended my hand out to her once

again after a couple of moments. She slipped her hand into mine without any kind of hesitation, and I

closed my longer fingers against her smaller ones.

“You’re alright, aren’t you?” I asked and watched as she nodded her head eagerly, and I was thankful

that the nervous energy that had been around her ever since we had made our way out of the bedroom

was no longer around anymore, just as she started to vocally respond to me.

“Yeah, I am.” She responded, a small smile and eager look playing across her face. I nodded my head

approvingly and hummed a little before starting to name my way down the stairs, with Sofia firmly held

in my hand beside me. We made our way through the hallway and I headed straight for the sitting

room, walking through the hallway until we arrived at the entrance of the sitting room, and I noticed

instantly that the door was slightly ajar. I pushed the door open with my foot and noticed that the sitting

room was completely empty of anybody and made my way into it, tugging Sofia in behind me.

Sofia was already glancing around the whole place almost immediately, head turning around from side

to side and eyes ghosting over a lot of spots all at once.

“He isn’t here…” Sofia started to mutter softly beneath her breath and I hummed a little as I moved her

around until she was standing before me, and I waited patiently until she made her eyes focus on my Content © NôvelDrama.Org.

face.

“Yes, bunny. He isn’t here at the moment.” I confirmed after a couple of seconds.

“He isn’t? Where is he? You said he was already here…”

I hummed a little as she started to speak and waited a few seconds before gently cutting into what she

was saying.

“Oh, he is here. He’s here already.” I said after a few moments. Before Sofia could speak, I continued.

“He’s probably in the kitchen or something. You wait here, I’ll go fetch him.” I continued to speak after a

couple of moments.

Sofia fidgeted a little, blinking up at me as she started to chew on her bottom lip. I lifted one of my

hands off her shoulders and used my finger to tug her bottom lip out from the light grip her teeth had on

it.

“What is it, bunny?” I asked softly and I watched as she shrugged a little at first before huffing out a

small breath in the next moment.

“It’s nothing, I just feel like I’m going to get really nervous if you leave me here to go get him, and you

take too long, because…”

“Because?” I continued instantly as soon as she trailed off.

“Go on, tell me about it.”

“Because um, because I’d start to overthink again? And I think it’s going to make me start to over think

and get all worked up and nervous.” She pouted a little when she was done speaking.

“Oh, bunny.” I whispered in a low voice and I tugged her forward into my arms, feeling her small arms

inch around my body to hug me tightly against her body. She sighed a little against my chest for a few

seconds before she started to pull out of the short hug.

“Okay, I think I’m fine right now.” She started to speak now that she was standing before me and

staring up at me once again. I narrowed my eyes a little at her right before I started to speak.

“Are you sure, bunny?” I asked really slowly. “You can come with me if you want to, but I want you guys

to meet with each other for the first time without any audience around in that particular moment.” I

explained to her after a couple of moments and I watched as a look of realization crossed her face.

“Oh…” She whispered and I hummed a little.

“Yeah, bunny.”

“Alright, I’ll stay.” She finally affirmed, blinking up at me and once again back to chewing at the inside of

her cheeks.

“Are you sure? You don’t have to act brave if you don’t feel like it, you can come with me and

everything would still end up being all good.” I said to her, feeling the inside of my chest start to swell

with so many emotions all at once.

“Yeah, I am… I guess? Just don’t stay too long.” I finally spoke up again and I breathed out a small

laugh and nodded my head a little.

“I won’t, okay? I’ll be back as fast as possible.” I said to her and just because I couldn’t resist her, I

leaned down and pressed a kiss into her hair.

“Go put on the television and start to watch something, I’ll be back before you know it.” I said to her and

watched as she nodded her head, right before she turned around on her heels to proceed to do what I

hat just asked her to.

My eyes dropped to the curve of her ass in the pink colored gown and I had to tear my eyes off it after

a few seconds, a low hum going up in my chest and the image of her bending over to retrieve the

remote control from the electronics stand beneath the television which was plastered against the wall,

as I made my way out or the sitting room, into the hallway and straight to the kitchen where I know

Armani was still holed in.

Armani was in there like I had guessed. He turned his head around to glance at me as soon as I had

gotten the door of the kitchen open and I huffed out a slow breath, feeling a fond feeling start to make

its way into the lowest part of my chest in the next moment as I made my way deeper into the kitchen.

Sarah was doing something at the kitchen’s sink and Matilda was doing something behind the stove.

The aroma of different food filled the atmosphere of the kitchen and I dragged a lungful into my chest,

feeling my stomach start to rumble in the next moment. I hadn’t even thought that I had been hungry

until this very moment. I noticed to myself as I moved towards the kitchen counter and the chairs

around it, because Armani was sitting in one of those seats.

I noticed that there was a bottle of drink before him on the counter, and a piece of straw sticking out of

it.

“Hi Luca, welcome back.” Armani started to speak in the next moment, giving me a wide grin that felt

like he was trying to say something. I narrowed my eyes because it clicked inside of my head the next

moment that he was probably referring to something that could be linked to me and Sofia doing

something nasty.

Ironically, we didn’t even share a freaking kiss to begin with.

I rolled my eyes a little and breathed out a small laugh right before I started to speak.

“Let’s head out, Sofia‘a already down here… you still wanna meet her?” I asked after a moment.

“Of course, I do. Let’s head there right now.” He responded as he slid down from his chair and turned

around until he was staring at me. He turned back around after a fleeting moment and picked up his

bottle of fruit drink and downed the rest in a few gulps before placing the almost empty bottle back on

the counter.

We both started to make our way back out of the kitchen, walking side by side and also in silence. It felt

relaxing to just feel complete in a way. I don’t think I’ve ever felt this sense of fullness in my heart

throughout my whole lifetime. I knew about the fact that I was really happy as it is, by just being with

Sofia, I was being all happy – but not completely happy, and at least, it doesn’t always feel like my

heart was overflowing with all these kinds of emotions.
