Betrothed To The Mafia Lord

Chapter 350

Chapter 350

Sofia’s pov

Drawing was now something that comes really easy for me, it wasn’t something that I had to think

about long before I finally figure out. When I had showed Angelo some of my paintings, I had felt such

a huge feeling of pride sweep up inside of him at the blatant shock on his face. As expected, he was

shocked that Luca had allowed me to paint, because of course, his image of Luca was a big, bad ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .

monster.

After I had talked to Luca about expanding my paintings, he had went ahead to tell me that there was a

lot of disadvantages to it, and after he had listed them, I realized that he had indeed been right after all.

When I had mentioned making my own money as one of the reasons as to why I wanted to work, Luca

had stared at me silently at first before he had began to speak.

“What do you need to make money for?” He had asked and I had let out a splutter, because I wasn’t

sure of what to say to that, I hadn’t even thought of that to begin with.

“You don’t need to earn your own money, Sofia. You’re married to me and therefore all of my things are

yours, including all of my wealth. All you need to do is to ask for something if you need it… and, it’s not

like you’re ever going to do that, knowing you, and seeing as you’re barely making use of the black

card I assigned to you.”

My mouth parted but nothing came forth, as he continued from where he had stopped. “Why don’t you

make use of the black card frequently? Hm?”

“I make use of it!” I argued, pursing my lips. “And besides, I don’t want to spend money recklessly…”

Luca shook his head and breathed out a small chuckle, and then he was taking my left hand to press a

tiny kiss in the middle of my wrist that made my stomach flutter a little.

“Sofia…” He began to speak after a few moments. “It won’t be considered as reckless spending

because I’m the one asking you to spend it, and besides, there’s millions of dollars in your card… I

doubt you'll be able to spend it all anytime soon.”

My mouth fell open.

“And if the money in it finishes, I’ll have another one wired into it, hm?”

After that conversation, I knew that me bringing up any topic about me wanting to make my own

money, was going to fall on deaf ears – not because he doesn’t want to listen to me, but because he

wanted me to spend his own money.

When I still insists on wanting to really expand my artistry, Luca had promised to think about it. He said

a lot of dangers was going to come with that and in as much as he wanted to please me, he also had to

think of my safety and me being in any line od danger, just doesn’t sit well with him.

And I did understood him.

————-

It was a little bit after sun down and I was still yet to be done with what I had been working on for the

past few hours, and I wanted to be done with it today because I wanted to start another project

tomorrow morning.

I was doing that when Ryan found me, and I flashed a grin at him before turning back to what I was

working on.

“Hi there, Ryan.” I murmured without looking at him.

“I see you’re busy as hell right now,” He mused and i faintly heard him walking around my stupid a little.

“I am, but I’ll be done really soon.” I called out in response.

“That’s great then, what are you working on?” He asked curiously as I came to stand behind me. I

shifted my weight from feet to feet as I threw him a glance for a moment.

“It’s a gift for my brother, sort of.” I murmured and I watched as Ryan kept observing the painting for a

few moments before pulling his eyes away from the almost finished painting to stare at me.

“You got every detail of his face so well, you’ve gotten so, so good at this, Sofia.” He murmured and I

grinned at him as I felt my cheeks a little.

“Thank you.” I murmured as I turned back around to continue working on the painting, and Ryan did

most of the talking until I was done.

I took a step back to survey my work, and walked right into Ryan’s chest. His hand steadied my by

gripping my waist lightly, and I tried not to let my cheeks to flame up as I glanced back at him.

“So, what do you think?”

“I think you’re really beautiful.” He responded in a low voice while staring at me, and I blinked a little –

just as he threw a glance at the finished art work before rephrasing. “I meant ‘it’s really beautiful,’ I

mixed up the pronouns.”

I nodded my head in response as I flashed him a grin. “Thank you. I really hope he likes it.”

“He would,” Ryan reassured.

After some time, I was putting the painting away for it to dry, as I spoke. “I feel he would too, I’m just

having second thoughts… I guess?”

“You don’t need to entertain those thoughts, I know he’s going to love it.”

Once I was done, I turned around to walk towards where Ryan was standing by the window, the small

sun still remaining in the sky made his eyes seem more beautiful than it usually is.

He glanced down at me in that moment, and then he reached out to swipe his thumb over the top of my

cheek, and the side of my lips, while I blinked up at him.

“There’s paint on your cheek,” He murmured as he waved his stained thumb in my face and I nodded

my head a little, there was a little tingle in the spot where his finger had rubbed against.

“Oh, I had no idea. Thanks for getting it for me.” I mumbled. Our eyes were locked for a few longs

second and I wondered just how I never noticed that his eyes were this pretty.

I finally averted my gaze when I felt cheeks start to slightly heat up and was about to walk past him,

when his cold hand suddenly closed around my wrist in a sudden, firm grip, halting me instantly.
