Chapter 380
Chapter 380
Luca’s POV
After heading outside with the two perplexed looking guards, even before I emerged outside, I already
knew that something had happened, coupled with the few words the guards had said to me, just when I
had been about to say something in response to what Sofia had said about her needing to thank me.
James had his gun out, along with Travis, and at soon as I made my way outside, I hastily whipped out Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!
my gun while regarding the unfolding scene carefully.
Men clad in black and red where pouring in from different directions, jumping over the electric fence
effortlessly, making it obvious that the electrocution projected into the wires atop the fence has
definitely been disabled. James, Travis and the guards were taking care of the men, but they were
starting to get outnumbered.
I motioned for some of the guards to go watch over the people in the hall and prevent them from
coming out. I also motioned for some other guards to go check the other side of the hall to ensure that
no one was trying to get into the hall through the other side.
“Shit.” I cursed after dodging a bullet that slid past my head an inch, that was a really close call and the
bullet would have been buried in my head had I not been that fast. It made rage burn inside of me. It
was obvious that whoever it was that had send these men over here, had ordered them to shoot to kill.
“Fucking asshole.” I heard Travis grunt as he harshly kicked one of the guys in the ribs before shooting
him in the chest. He was sweating and had a few scratches on his face. His suit was also stained with
blood, but it seems like it wasn’t his blood, but was instead someone else’s.
I let out a low growl as I shot three of the guys dead a few moments later. A few of my guards were
also starting to drop dead, and that annoided the fuck out of me, making me let out a sharp curse as I
took more of the men in black out.
My mind briefly strayed as I wondered about who it is that is currently behind this attach. Sure, I had
already somehow imagined that something like this was going to happen, but I hadn’t anticipated that it
was going to be to this extent.
But, I already prepared heavily for this, which is why, i also had a plan B arranged, should in case we
get more than what we can handle here today.
A call from one of the higher ranks came into my phone and answered it while being crouched behind
the hood of one car.
“Sir, there are a lot of men at the other sides of the compound, who are trying to break into the hall to
probably abduct your wife.” The guard frantically explained and I felt my blood boil even hotter.
The thought of my wife getting abducted today made me see nothing but red. Whoever it is that is
behind this, is going to pay for this big time.
This is exactly why I never wanted to agree to this art exhibition thing in the first place. I’m present
today and look at what is currently happening. What if I’m not here today? They’d have probably
already kidnapped her and be on their way back to the person who had sent them on this particular
mission.
Well, they made a huge mistake by heading to their master’s errand, because they wouldn’t even be
returning back to him to informed him about the failed outcome of their job today.
None of them would be alive to actually tell this story.
Every single one of them.
“Call in the plan B.” I said into the phone and ended it, sliding back out of the spot I had been crouched
in to shot one of the guys in the forehead. It continued for a few more minutes before the plan B
arrived, pouring into the arena and sweeping everywhere clean in a few minutes.
I dug out my phone and phoned Ethan, one of Sofia’s guards to ask him if everything in there was
going on fine, and he said it was, that the show is already being rounded up.
The guys who had just showed up began to clear the entire mess without wasting time, dragging all the
dead bodies into multiple huge ass vans.
A few of the guys who had surrendered at the last minute, had all been captured. I motioned for one of
them to crawl towards me, and then I placed my feet on his back after having him lie flat on thr ground.
He was silent, refusing to give a name of the person who had offered him this job, and I had been
about to blow his head off in order to show the rest of his alive teammates that I do mean business–
when Sofia unexpectedly showed up.
Her mouth hung open and she looked extremely frightened with her eyes bulging.
I probably looked a wild mess, coupled with my leg atop who I had been about to shoot.
“What happened?” She voiced out while blinking and glancing around. James was saying somethings
to some of the guards and Travis had probably gone off to check up on Kayla . Most of the cars parked
in this area all have dents on them from bullets, and some of the cars sustained broken windows
This entire place looked a mess.
“Nothing.” I responded as I took my feet off the dude I had been about to shoot. I’ll just deal with him
later, I thought to myself as I motioned for some of the guards to take the guys away.
“Nothing?” She echoed after me and I hummed as I tucked my gun into my pocket.
“Yes, because it’s all been taken care of, so it’s not important any longer.”
“Oh.” She whispered.
James arrived at our side, along with Kayla and her husband, who had now changed into another suit
jacket. A few scratches were still visible on his face, but nothing that wouldn’t fade in a few days time.
“Guys… let’s all go celebrate!” Kayla suddenly cried out.
