Chapter 24: I'm Olivier's Woman
Chapter 24: I'm Olivier's Woman
Not only that, Fleur was also very uncomfortable leaning back like this.
Simon's muscular arms caged her in, even his breath filled her sense.
This atmosphere was too much, all thanked to him.
It seemed like he did not care how Fleur would react at all.
"Even if you were Olivier's wife, I would not give a damn." his words grew arrogant and...presumptuous.
"I just want to know: what was your relationship with Samuel?"
Fleur felt impatient but did not show it.
"Nothing happened between us."
Simon stared at Fleur. Behind her smile, Fleur's eyes carried a mocking tinge. She still carried a
beautiful charm, and as much as Simon did not want to admit it, he was attracted to her.
"Before Samuel died, he not only took that priceless bottle of wine, he also transferred a hundred
million dollars from his bank account. I wonder if this money is in your pocket?" Simon continued, "Are Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
you pursuing a big league such as Olivier to seek protection "
"Ha!" Fleur laughed out loud. She never imagined Simon's imagination could run this wild.
"Simon Muller," Fleur said. "I told you I bought that wine. Don't point fingers here. As for where that
large sum of money ended up, I know you'll be investigating it, and if you do you'll definitely find out if I
was involved with Samuel's death. Besides, wouldn't I be courting death if I sought out Olivier to protect
me? Olivier and Samuel were such good friends. If I had really killed Samuel, Olivier would tear me
apart." In one breath, she answered all his questions.
"Olivier is blind when it comes to love. If he really liked you, he wouldn't even notice if you killed him. If
you killed Samuel, he would try his damnedest to protect you."
"So he is that ... unique?" Fleur grinned, the red of her lips showing a natural feminine charming.
Simon's dire trying to get answers was coupled with some frustrated emotions that he did not
understand himself. His brow clenched.
"In that case, I'll have to make him fall for me as soon as possible," Fleur continued.
"So you admit you have something to do with Samuel's death?"
"Not that. If he likes me, I'll be able to do whatever I want in Y City. By then, if he knows you suspected
me and forced me to talk, he'd definitely come for you."
Simon said nothing for a moment, then continued:
"I can protect you too. How about being with me?" Fleur's insufferable beauty led to a moment's
irrationality to spill from his words.
"Only if you're Olivier Martinez," Fleur said, his eyes gleaming.
"Is Olivier that irreplaceable?"
"Of course."
Simon lowered his head and recovered himself for a moment.
When he looked up, his face was calm once again.
"It seems your intentions are too straightforward, as if there's some hidden, stubborn motivation behind
all this. It's too suspicious."
Fleur folded her arms over her chest, clear eyes not betraying her true colours. Everyone who saw her
would only see this act of openness of hers.
As if she really had no ulterior motives.
"Don't overthink it. I just really like him."
Simon gave a resigned smirk and finally turned to leave. Fleur looked at him, admiring a certain charm
he carried.
"By the way, since you know Olivier so well, tell me, does he like me at all?" Fleur said softly.
