Chapter 29: Did Olivier Forget How to Use His Mouth?
But Virginie did not expect Olivier to just sit there unbothered, with an arm casually laid on the table.
His rolled-up sleeve reveal his clearly-defined muscle, giving off an air of a matured man.
Olivier did not react at all. His handsome face remained indifferent.
Virginie's heart sank. She felt a panic she had never felt before, looking at him in stunned silence.
When Olivier looked at her, his eyes were a depressing dark.
"I'll ask Raoul to take you home."
Just like that, Virginie sank into an indescribably deep abyss. They had not had dinner, Olivier did not
say anything about Fleur's actions, and Fleur even compared her to Madame Bovary...how could she
stand it all?
This harsh feeling only increased, being right in front of Olivier. Virginie did not know what to say.
Fleur was also silent, deep in thought.
"No need, I'll drive myself." Virginie whispered, getting up. Before she took another step, a voice came:
"Oh, everyone's here."
It was Simon Muller.
Like Fleur, Simon straight up got a chair from a waiter and sat down. He was finally in a change of
clothes, wearing a navy blue shirt and long black trousers, giving his features a distinct maturity.
"Aren't any of you eating?" Simon said, signaling the waiter to bring a menu over.
Fleur said lazily, "Olivier and I will get the most expensive thing on the menu."
Simon glanced at her, then at Olivier. "Do you not know how to use your hands or did Olivier forget how
to use his mouth?"
"None of your business. Don't you have the menu now?"
Simon raised his eyebrows but did not argue. He ordered two dishes then handed the menu to Virginie.
Virginie did not take it, instead looked upon his face, feeling a sense of nostalgia, as well as endless
pain.
Simon frowned. "Miss Lopez..."
"We're leaving." A cold voice came suddenly. Simon looked back and saw Olivier had pulled Fleur up
by the wrist.
"You're not eating anymore?"
Olivier's jaw clenched tighter. His grip on Fleur's wrist hardened.
"Bye-bye. Let's have dinner together sometime," Fleur said before they left.
Simon idly tapped at the menu. Only after the two leave did Simon say: "Miss Lopez, I'm Simon." I'm NôvelDrama.Org owns all content.
not Samuel.
"I know." Virginie sounded like she was going to crying. Samuel had been dead for more than a year,
yet she still carried that deep pain in her.
"It looks like Olivier really gave up on you." Simon turned to look at her, not an inch of tenderness or
affection in his eyes.
"But you're not completely useless anyway,. When you stare at my face, doesn't Olivier still get
jealous?" Everyone in Y City knew of Olivier's special treatment of Virginie, for he was not one who
openly desired women. For so many years, Virginie had been the only one he had ever relented to.
So many people envied Virginie.
Virginie did not speak, only stared blankly at the teacup Olivier had used. Fleur had used it too...
"Mr. Muller, would you..." The waiter began respectfully, asking if he still wanted to order.
Simon closed the menu, standing up. "Your president left, why else should I stay?" When he exited the
building, he saw one of Olivier's luxury cars, a Maybach, leaving.
