Chapter 47: You’re a Jinx
Chapter 47: You’re a Jinx
Charlotte staggered backwards due to the force of the slap, her face stinging.
Allison walked towards her in high heels and gazed at her condescendingly and coldly. There seemed
to be daggers in her eyes and it looked as if she was using her gaze to cut Charlotte’s skin.
“Charlotte Garcia, I told you before. I’m Lawrence’s future wife and I don’t care him flirting with other
woman before our marriage. But if he neglects his safety and life because of a woman, then she must
go west!”
Allison’s eyes were filled with hatred and killing intentions.
But only Charlotte noticed them. In other people’s eyes, Allison was a person who was furious because
of her lover.
“Since after he left you and came back to the Harris family, his life had been going well and he had
never encountered any accidents or mishaps. However, since you occurred again, he was put in
danger for numerous times and almost lost his life!”
Allison suddenly curled her lips into a weird smile and slowly looked up at Charlotte, “Your father and
your brother died, the Garcia family was ruined, and even Lawrence injured himself again and again
because of you. Miss Garcia, have you thought into it? Or is it because you’re unwilling to accept this –
you’re really a jinx!”
A jinx.
Charlotte abruptly raised her head and shifted her gaze towards her dully. She felt like someone had
stabbed her heart.
And it ached so much.
Even Jeffery, who was standing aside, felt that Allison’s words were so harsh. He couldn’t help
interrupting her, “Miss Miller, please don’t say…”
Charlotte slowly looked down onto the ground. With a pair of red-rimmed eyes, she laughed at herself,
“Yeah, a jinx.”
Because of her, her father and her brother died and her family was ruined. Even Lawrence, who had
deep hatred towards her, almost lost his life because of her.
Right at this moment, Charlotte felt like she was cut by numerous swords and daggers. Every inch of
her skin was suffering the stinging pain.
She slowly took a glance at the ambulance that was not far away from her and lowered her head to
hide the tears in her eyes. She then said in an extremely low voice, “I will leave now. I will stay away
from him…”
Allison didn’t move. She simply fixed her eyes on Charlotte and uttered word by word, “Stay away from
him? That’s not enough. You should disappear in his life.”
When she finished her words, a burst of siren sounds raised from not far away.
Several minutes later, another ambulance and a police van stopped in front of them. Then several
people got off the car and rushed towards the woman who was lying unconsciously beside the rails.
The woman gradually woke up. Lying on the stretcher, she struggled and pointed at Charlotte
tremblingly, accusing, “I called the police before I passed out… I admit that I was wrong because I
masqueraded myself as one of her families and sneaked into her house to steal these things. But she
wanted to hit me with her car! She tried to kill me!”
Charlotte abruptly looked up when she heard her words. She then landed her gaze on the ambulance
that was not far away and then quickly looked towards Allison. An idea suddenly popped into her mind
and she seemed to understand it.
This woman was not sent by Evelyn. It was Allison who planned all these.
Charlotte felt like she was overwhelmed by coldness at the next moment. She felt it quite ironic.
Although Charlotte had found out her planned, Allison was not panicked at all. She still put on an air of
superior and elegance.
“It’s true that Evelyn has gone abroad and it’s impossible for you to find her. You lost your father, your
brother and your family. Miss Garcia, if one commits some sins, she has to atone for them, right? I beg
you. It’s for the sake of my Lawrence, right?” Content is © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.
Charlotte understood the connotation of her words. With a pair of red-rimmed eyes, she sneered, “Do
you know it? Every time when I had sex with Lawrence before, I felt quite sorry for you. I thought I
shouldn’t hurt his future wife who has been by his side for five years. But now…”
Charlotte squinted at Allison as if she was looking at a laughing stock.
“Miss Miller, I overvalued you before. You’re nothing more than…”
The expressions on Allison’s beautiful face froze, “You!”
Charlotte turned around resolutely and smiled at the police officers who were walking towards her.
“No need to question me. I drove the car and tried to hit her. Mr. Harries was injured because he tried
to stop me.”
“I admit all the accusations.”
