Chapter 38 A Bunch of Flower for Garcia
Chapter 38 A Bunch of Flower for Garcia
After being tortured by Kelvin last night, Becca was so sleepy the whole afternoon.
"Becca," Janet knocked on her desk, "What's wrong with you? You are drowsing since the first day of
work. If Ms. Gates knows it then you're dead."
Becca woke up and rubbed her face, "I need to go to the restroom to clear my head."
She decided to and stipulate that during the working day, they must sleep in separate beds.
Becca was about to go wash her face, but only when she reached the door of the bathroom, she ran
into the person she least expected to see.
Laura was leaning on the door with an annoying smile.
Becca did not want to talk with her. She was about to walk past her. But Laura deliberately blocked her
way.
"Sis, don't be so cold. You don't even greet me when you see me."
Becca glared at her fiercely, "What do you want? Do you have another one in your belly? Do you want
to blame me again?"
Laura was a bit angry, "Your words are hurtful. I am just about to congratulate you for entering the
company. Why are you so aggressive?"
"Congratulate me?" Becca laughed, "Do you believe it when you say it? If you want to show off, then
just show off. Why do you say it so nicely?"
Laura was arrogant, "You really misunderstood me. But I heard people say that the more people feel
that others are showing off something, the more they are missing something."
"Don’t you remember how you became the golden designer?" Becca dissed her back.
"The important thing is that I am now superior to you. And I can even decide whether you can stay or
not. You better realize it." Laura answered. "By the way, dad gave me a celebration banquet to
celebrate my success. It's a pity that you cannot participate."
Becca clenched her fist, wanted to go up and rip off Laura's pretentious face.
"I admit that you are a few grades above me. But how dare you think you can decide my stay?
Concerning your professional performance, you better concern more about yourself. It will be painful if
you fall from that high."
"I know you have a great arguing skill." Laura squared herself up, "Let's see which one of us will be
expelled from Heyday."
They confronted each other fiercely.
"Excuse me, is Garcia here?" A tall young woman was holding a bouquet of red roses and walked to
the vestibule on the third floor. Both Laura and Becca went over.
"Ms. Harris?" The receptionist lady was surprised to see her. It’s quite rare to see Ms. Harris, the
secretary of Kelvin. How come she came here today with flowers in her arms?
Everyone has noticed their conversation. Becca narrowed her eyes, wondering what was going on.
Anna Harris turned around, swept a glance at her and smiled, "Garcia, this is a flower from Mr. Lewis.
Welcome to Heyday!"
Becca was nervous. (What the hell is Kelvin up to? How can he send flowers to me? Is it to make
amends?)
She reached out. But Laura has already stepped forward and took the flowers from Anna’s hand.
"Thank you. It’s so nice of you to deliver it for him." Laura smiled brightly.
"It's my duty." Anna replied politely, "You’re welcome."
Becca dropped her hands in disappointment.
Garcia... How could she forget that Laura's last name is also Garcia?
The entire office looked at them. Everyone's eyes were filled with surprise. And a few of them looked at
Becca with a teasing smile.
(Becca was to fetch the flowers given to Laura by Kelvin Lewis. She thought that they were for her.)
Becca was embarrassed, with her face turning red.
"Mr. Lewis should directly write Laura on the card. It’s too easy to be misunderstood if he writes Garcia
since there are two Garcia here."
After hearing Laura's words, those people laughed even louder. Becca took a deep breath to keep Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.
calm.
"Garcia, you are a golden designer. You should be on the fifth floor. But Ms. Harris has come to the
third floor to find Garcia. Does Mr. Lewis mistaken it, or he just simply didn’t take you as a golden
designer, regarding you as an intern like us?"
"You..." Laura was choked by her words.
"Anyway, you have nothing to do, so you can wander on each floor. Maybe next time you can also
receive Mr. Lewis’s flower to some Garcias or Lauras." Becca turned around and went to her seat.
Laura was so angry. Her face turned red. She snorted and left.
Those who were watching the quarrel were still holding back their laughter. Becca walked over. They
immediately stopped laughing and looked away.
Janet was also shocked by Becca’s eyes. She knows Becca since they were children. Becca has
always been a lively and lovely girl. Her hostility was so evident, just like Kelvin Lewis. But she’s with
Kelly. Why does she look so similar to Kelvin?
Meanwhile, in the office of sales department's director, Mia Moore was concentrating on the
documents. Her secretary Hanny Hill knocked open the door and walked in.
"Miss Moore," Hanny spoke nervously.
Mia did not look up. But when she saw Hanny did not speak for a while, she stopped writing and looked
at her.
"What?"
"Mr. Lewis asked his secretary to send flowers to a designer named Laura."
Mia’s eyes gradually narrowed down.
Laura?
She previously sent people to keep an eye on Kelvin's. Someone reported to her that Bill has
occasionally mentioned a person named Garcia. Maybe it is her...
"Laura, a golden designer sent to the third group, only 21 years old, is a college student who has not
yet graduated. I have seen her resume. The performance in all aspects is average. Although she has
won several awards, her work is not outstanding compared to the existing designers."
"So, there is someone who is secretly promoting her." Mia's tone became stern.
"A week ago, Mr. Lewis went to the hospital. That night, he went to visit Miss Laura Garcia." Hanny, as
Mia's secretary, understood very well about how to please her.
"Hospital?" Mia sneered, "You better not tell me that it’s the obstetrics and gynecology department."
Hanny trembled and lowered her head.
The pen in Mia's hand was broken by her. She tried desperately to control her emotions. She didn’t
want to lose her temper in front of others.
She was always compelling the women around Kelvin. Those women were the ones who took the
initiative to stick around. But it’s different this time.
Kelvin let her join the company, sending her flowers, and even, visiting her in the obstetrics and
gynecology department... Why would a young woman be in the obstetrics and gynecology department?
Apart from the miscarriage, she really couldn't think of any other reason. And why would Kelvin
personally visit a woman who had a miscarriage? The answer is already clear.
No wonder Kelly would say something about sister-in-law. No wonder Bill would talk about Garcia on all
the time. This woman must be very calculative.
"Miss Moore..."
"Just let it be" Mia laughed, "I'd like to see what Kelvin will do for her."
