Chapter 5 Escape
Rejoyla had planned to escape as soon as he left, so her smile froze.
"Aunt Rejoyla?"
Hearing him raise his ending voice to express his impatience, she immediately nodded, "I see! I won't leave."
Jason deeply stared at her until she felt so cold and frighted that she almost told him the truth. Then, he walked out. Rejoyla leaned on the window. After seeing the black Land Rover run out, she felt relieved and lazily lay on the tatami in front of the bed. This was Jason's villa in East City. He must have brought her here after she had passed out last night. And they used to live here before.
Looking around, she found it was still the pastoral style she liked. Even the pink sheet with lace on the bed was the one she had bought. But after a close look, she found it was new. Did Jason always buy the same sheets?
Lying on the bed, she stared blankly. She could not deceive herself anymore. She still loved that bastard, although it was hard to accept the fact. If he had forced her, she would have been able to persuade herself to regard it as if being bitten by a dog. Anyway, she had been bitten before. But she knew very well in her heart that she was willing and even felt secretly happy to sleep with him again.
Rejoyla couldn't help yelling. Then, she clenched her fists and slammed them hard on the bed. Of course, it did not hurt. Then, she gritted her teeth and swore, "I'm going on a blind date! I'm going to date. I will leave this pervert to Louisa!"
At the thought of Louisa, Rejoyla could not help feeling aggrieved and angry. Jason loved Louisa and dated Rejoyla because she looked like her. It was the shame of her life because Louisa's existence had severely hurt her self-esteem. But the most ridiculous part of the matter was that Louisa did not know her existence at all. How pathetic she was!
Rejoyla burst into tears, and the bitter tears flowed from her eyes to her heart. She pressed her throbbing left chest and forced a smile, murmuring, "There are many fish in the sea. I'm sure I can find a better man. Jason, you have no right to humiliate me like this!"
All the employees of the LJ Group were happy today because the cold air that had shrouded the company for a long time had miraculously disappeared. The assistant to the president felt the happiest because Mr. Sterling was smiling all day long. He could not even believe his eyes because he used to think Mr. Sterling did not know how to smile.
Jason's good mood lasted until he returned home. Looking around the empty villa, he immediately became gloomy, and his eyes turned red. Then, he threw the coffee table beside him away. The loud noise lasted until the villa was almost destroyed. After venting his anger, he gradually calmed down. Otherwise, he might go to strangle Rejoyla to death. Property © NôvelDrama.Org.
While smoking a cigar, he was surrounded by smoke. His red eyes gradually darkened, exuding a faint light. After a while, he laughed and hoarsely murmured, "Rejoyla!" When the word echoed through the empty villa, it sounded like a mandragora that tempted people into the abyss.
Rejoyla lay on the sofa with a facial mask on her face. Hearing Jacquelyn's words, she abruptly got up, widened her pretty eyes, and shouted, "What? How can you ask me to live with the Sterling family? Are you kidding me?"
Her mask fell off, but she didn't care.
Jacquelyn poked Rejoyla's forehead and angrily said, "When can you change your short temper? You should learn from Joana! Girls should be quiet and elegant. When you move to the Sterling family, you must restrain yourself."
Rejoyla rolled her eyes and said, "I can never change. If you're not satisfied, you can stuff me back in your stomach and give birth to me again."
"Stop talking nonsense!"
Jacquelyn was so angry that she patted Rejoyla's back. But she had not put forth much strength and stopped after only two pats.
"Let's return to the original topic! Why do you ask me to live with the Sterling family? I won't go!"
If she went there, she would be like a sheep walking to a tiger's mouth. She could imagine how furious Jason was now. He might kill her if they met again!
"You must go! I have the final say! Hurry up and pack your things!"
Jacquelyn always made compromises when facing Rejoyla. She even allowed her to call her Jacquelyn instead of Mom. She could understand Rejoyla hated her because of her father. However, she showed a rare aggressiveness in this matter.
Burton had suddenly asked her to let Joana and Rejoyla live with the Sterling family tonight. She had begged him for this before, but he had not agreed. But he had somehow taken the initiative to bring it up. Of course, Jacquelyn had agreed without hesitation and decided to take the girls over before he regretted it. Even if he regretted it, he would be too embarrassed to drive them out after they moved in.
