CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery

Chapter 1012

"That makes sense," Micah responded, his lips barely moving as he spoke. "But maybe I just don't have it in me. Anyway, Freya is waiting for her meal, so I'll head back."

He clearly did not want to continue discussing matters of the heart. He was not interested, and talking about it only tired him out.

Nina could not help but tease him, "See? You said Freya's waiting for her meal, yet you claim you're not interested. People always say women are the ones who say one thing and mean another, but I think men are just the same." Micah tried to maintain a serious tone. "Is Orion feeling better? Shouldn't you be taking care of him instead of worrying about me?"

Nina laughed. "He's still recovering, but I can talk to you and take care of him at the same time."

"Go take care of your Orion," Micah said, carrying the chicken broth as he walked away.

Nina watched his retreating figure, a smile playing on her lips.

He was so easy to tease. It was obvious he had feelings for Freya. But of course, Micah would never admit it, stubborn as he was.

Micah returned to Freya with the bowl of chicken broth. When she saw it, her eyes lit up, even though it was just broth. The warmth it brought to her heart was undeniable.Content © copyrighted by NôvelDrama.Org.

"Did you make this for me?" Freya looked up at Micah, her eyes shining like stars.

"Yes. I can only make simple chicken broth. I'm not great at cooking other dishes." Micah set up the small table and placed the broth on it, then gently helped Freya sit up.

Despite being just a bowl of chicken broth, Freya savored it, feeling it was the most delicious thing she had ever eaten. After all, it was made by Micah himself. It was his gesture of care.

Freya, with hope in her voice, said, "You may not be great at cooking, but I am. In the future, I'll cook for you. You handle things outside, and I'll take care of everything at home."

She was dreaming of a beautiful future together, but Micah knew she was oversimplifying things.

He spoke in a firm, low voice, "Don't forget, I only agreed to one month. Don't get your hopes up. I still don't have those kinds of feelings for you."

To Micah, it was just a month, but Freya was already dreaming of a future together. Micah thought that Freya was thinking too far into the future.

Freya, however, did not see it that

way. She smiled with determination.

"You have no idea how much effort I put in just to be by your side. For me, your agreement is like a promise for a lifetime."

Her thoughts were simple and pure.

Micah saw the hope and happiness in her eyes and almost could not bring himself to crush it. But reality was harsh, and he knew that one month would not change anything.

He gestured to the bowl of chicken broth on the small table. "Focus on your meal. Don't think about anything else." "Okay." Freya was obedient, knowing that she needed to recover quickly to make the most of their month together.

She did not plan to beg Micah to extend their time when the month was up, but she hoped to create the best memories during it.

She drank slowly because the broth was hot. When she finished, she looked at Micah and said, "I'd like to see Pharaoh." Micah immediately frowned, his eyes darkening.

"Don't worry," Freya reassured him. "I just want to talk to Pharaoh about my injuries, nothing else."

Even though Micah had agreed to a one-month trial period with her, Freya had hopes of turning it into something more permanent. But she was not going to exploit that opportunity.

Her expression was serious, not at all like she was lying.

In the end, Micah called for Pharaoh to come see her.
