Chapter 1022
Eve felt a bit embarrassed. "It looks like my fiancé might not be coming after all."
"What?" Nina was taken aback.
But then, she got straight to the point. "If someone can stand you up on your wedding day, I think you need to seriously reconsider this person."
"Got it. Thank you, Nina," Eve replied.
Nash looked at Eve and asked, "Need any help?"
After all, Eve was Grandpa George's granddaughter. Nash could not just ignore her.
Eve shook her head. "I appreciate it, but I can handle this on my own."
Her fiancé had stood her up. If they helped, it would just be to drag the guy out, give him a good beating, and demand an apology. But after all that, the wedding would definitely be off. She could manage that on her own. Nash wrapped his arm around Nina's shoulder. "If you need anything, call me."
"I will."
With that, Nash and Nina left the county clerk's office. Eve stayed behind, but her gaze was firm and her expression grew colder.
On the way back, Nash was already thinking about the wedding.
"Have you thought about who you want as your maid of honor?"
Nash had his guest list in mind, planning to invite all his close friends.
"Who else could it be? Yvonne is my only choice."
"Alright, the wedding will be in three days. You can start letting our friends and family know," Nash said eagerly, anxious to have a grand celebration with Nina. He wanted the whole world to know that they were married. "Three days? That soon?" Nina asked, surprised.
A soft smile played on Nash's lips. "It's not soon at all. Our wedding is already years overdue. And we've been back for days now."
With determination, anything could be arranged.
"Well, if you've put it that way, how could I say no? You handle the planning," Nina replied with a grin that lit up her face.
What woman doesn't dream of a grand wedding? Especially one with the love of her life. After so many years with Nash, they had never had a proper wedding.
They had married in secret, and no one knew Nash even had a wife. Then he was "gone" for five years, and they had both faded from people's minds. Now, no one even knew who Nina was anymore. She understood why Nash wanted to make things right.
Once they got home, Nash had
Quincy bring over several wedding dresses. Every style imaginable was there. Nash was concerned that the dress would not look the same in person as it did on paper.
When Nina saw all the dresses, she was stunned.
"What's this? Do you expect me to..."
"You should try on each one and see which one looks the best," Nash said gently before she could finish.
Nina could not help but tease him, "What if I say they all look good?"
Her eyes twinkled mischievously as she looked at him.
Nash affectionately patted her head. "If they all look good, then you'll wear them all."
Money was not an issue, and neither was space.
Nina was completely floored. "You don't actually plan on turning the wedding into a fashion show, do you?"
If that happened, what would people think?
"If you want to, why not?" Nash responded, full of indulgent affection with just a touch of over-the-top confidence.
Zoe could not help but laugh. "LookCcontent © exclusive by Nô/vel(D)ra/ma.Org.
