Chapter 974
"Bring them in immediately," Pharaoh ordered, despite his distaste for Salterra.
However, given the bond between Nina and Nash, and the fact that they share a child, Pharaoh was willing to extend some courtesy to Salterra for Orion's sake.
The two nations could maintain a good relationship, but if Dominic ever dared to mistreat his precious daughter, Pharaoh would not hesitate to retaliate.
Meanwhile, Nina had taken Orion to the back garden.
The pollen season had passed, and the flowers in the garden had been carefully selected, allowing her to bring her son here without worry. "Mom, these flowers are so beautiful. I've never seen them before," Orion exclaimed, his eyes wide with wonder. It was a rare outing for him.
He breathed in the fresh air deeply, looking around with curiosity, marveling at everything he saw.
If only he could come out every day. He did not want to be confined to a bed anymore, but he kept that thought to himself. He knew how hard his parents were working to heal him, and he did not want to seem ungrateful. Nash picked a flower and handed it to Orion. "If you like them, we'll pick more to take back to your room."
"Yes, please!" Orion nodded eagerly.
They continued to explore the garden, where they found even more vibrant flowers, each one more delicate than the last.
Nina, knowing her son well, did not wait for him to ask. She picked several flowers and handed them to him. "We'll take these back and put them in a vase."
"Okay!" Orion held the flowers as if they were treasures.
Suddenly, a bird swooped past them, its graceful flight capturing Orion's full attention.
"Mom, look how fast that bird is flying," Orion said, his eyes filled with admiration.
Nina's eyes welled up with tears. The bird flew so effortlessly, but her son could only sit in a wheelchair, unable to run or jump like other children.
Nash gently wiped away her tears,
then bent down to speak to Orion. "If you keep eating well and getting stronger, you won't need the
wheelchair for long. Soon, Mom and Dad will take you to explore the
world." vel
Orion nodded eagerly. He could not wait to live that kind of life.
Time passed quickly, and before they knew it, an hour had gone by.
Nina began to push Orion back toward the lab.
"Mom, can I come out again next time?" Orion asked, his voice tinged with reluctance. He wished he could stay outside all day.
"Of course, I'll bring you out often," Nina assured him, ruffling his hair gently.
She wanted nothing more than to make him happy, but Orion's health was still fragile, and he could not handle being out in the wind for too long. When they returned to the lab, Pharaoh was already waiting for them.
He informed Nash, "An envoy from Salterra has arrived."
"Where are they?" Nash's heart sank.
An envoy between nations was a serious matter, and the fact that Dominic, had not mentioned
anything to him suggested that the envoy's purpose might be more complicated than expected. Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org exclusive © material.
"I've already arranged for them to be settled in. There will be a formal banquet tomorrow night, and both you and Nina must attend," Pharaoh added intending to use the occasion to gauge Salterra's intentions
Nina nodded in agreement, though she could not help but worry.
"Micah is still unconscious. I'm not sure if he'll wake up in time for tomorrow's banquet," she said, her concern evident.
Pharaoh shared her hope that Micah would recover soon. "He will, don't worry."
Nina sighed, praying that he would regain consciousness before the banquet.
As for Micah, with Freya watching over him and Wilfred providing meticulous care, he regained consciousness quickly.
