Just then Hannah raised her head and stared at the mirror, and suddenly their eyes met with each other.

Hannah quickly looked away. The car came to a stop in front of a big mansion. Hannah got out of the car while Brandon did the same.

Brandon moved towards Hannah and gestured for her to put her hands over his like a gentleman. But Hannah stared at him and walked away.

Immediately, Hannah walked inside the mansion, she stood admiring the beauty of the house and the elegant men and women that were at the party.

“Everyone here looks so rich,” Hannah, who noticed Brandon was now standing beside her, voiced out.

“Were you expecting poor people to be here?” Brandon said while staring around searching for Mr Edward.

Hannah gave him a side eye and huffed.

“Most people here are senators and politicians,” Brandon said as he spotted an old family friend of his, or rather an old friend of his dad who had also seen him and was walking towards him with a smile on his face.

“Senator Daniels ” Brandon muttered as they both shook hands with a smile on their faces.

“How have you been?” Senator Daniels asked and Brandon replied to him.

“I am fine,” Brandon responded.

Just then his eyes drifted towards Hannah who was standing beside Brandon.

“And who is this Beautiful lady we have here?” Senator Daniels stared at Hannah as he admired her beauty.

“This is Hannah, The company’s new COO and my……”

“Mrs Mackenzie” Hannah cut off Brandon’s speech as she knew what Brandon had wanted to say.

“Daniel Daniels but everyone calls me Senator Daniels” He brought his hands forward for a handshake which Hannah took with a smile on her face.

Senator Daniels took her hands and planted a soft kiss on them while staring straight into Hannah’s eyes.

“And she’s my wife” Brandon finished his sentence and Daniel paused for two seconds and then turned to Brandon.

“You sure have a good taste in women, she’s pretty and sexy” Senator Daniels smiled and then touched Brandon on his shoulder before walking away to meet some new people who had just arrived.

“Was the wife part necessary? I’m only here because I’m the COO of Colby Co, nothing more. This is business” Hannah said and Brandon scoffed without saying a word.

She turned and stared at him wondering why he wasn’t saying a word.

Just then an advanced man walked towards them with a smile on his face and suddenly hugged Brandon.

This must be Mr Edward, Hannah thought as she stared at both Brandon and the advanced man.

“Brandon, it’s been a long time. I thought you won’t be able to make it” Edward said as he pulled away from the hug with a wide smile on his face.

“I wouldn’t miss this party for anything. You are family so, I would always show up with just a phone call from you” Brandon said and Edward smiled.

“And who is this Beautiful lady beside you?” Edward asked

“Mr Edward, this is Hannah, the new COO and my wife,” Brandon said and Edward frowned as he heard the word wife but then quickly replaced it with a smile.

“I didn’t know you were married,” Edward said and Brandon smiled.

“Anyways, it’s nice to meet you, Hannah. Welcome to the family” Edwards said and gave Hannah a heartwarming smile.

Edward was disappointed when he heard Brandon was married. Elizabeth didn’t inform him that he had a wife.

Edward had moved back to town because he felt it was time for his daughter and Brandon to get married and make things official.

Edward was part of the people who had made Colby’s co a success because he had invested so much in it. And he felt marrying his daughter wouldn’t be a problem for Brandon.

“Daddy, this gown doesn’t fit me,” a young lady said as she walked towards Edward with a frown on her face but then paused when she saw Brandon. The frown on her face was replaced with a big smile.

“Brandon Colby” she called out and ran into Brandon’s arm.

“Isabella” Brandon laughed as he hugged her. Brandon and Isabella had been friends for a very long time before they moved out of the country and now they were back in town to stay permanently.

“Oh my goodness! I can’t believe it’s you” Isabella said as she hugged Brandon so tight and refused to let go of him.

“I miss you so much,” Isabella said as she finally pulled away from the hug. Brandon smiled at her.

“Daddy, why didn’t you tell me you were going to invite Brandon?” Isabella said as she practically held Brandon’s hands refusing to let go.

Brandon stared at Hannah who has this strange looks on her face.

“Isabella, this is……”

“Common Brandon, I will introduce you to some of my friends” Isabella cut off Brandon’s speech as she held his hands and dragged him with her.

Hannah on the other hand who felt so invisible all this time rolled her eyes plainly with a flash of anger in her eyes.

“I’m so sorry about my daughter’s behavior. She only misses Brandon so much because of how long they’ve been apart from each other.

They’ve been friends from a young age and I hope you understand that” Edward said and Hannah smiled at him.

“Of course I do,” Hannah said and Edward smiled before walking away.

Hannah turned and saw Isabella who was all over Brandon introducing him to some new people.

“I need to get a drink,” she said to herself as she walked towards where the alcohol was and poured herself a cup of drink.

She took a sip of it and turned to see Brandon still standing beside Isabella and he was smiling. She drank the cup of alcohol and dropped the glass on the table.

She’s never felt this angry in her entire life.

She didn’t know why she was feeling the way she was feeling now, she felt so jealous and felt like ripping off Isabella’s head at that moment in time.
