Hannah had just gotten home thinking Brandon was at home with the kids but to her surprise, they weren’t at home.

She wondered where Brandon had taken them. She brought out her phone and dialed Brandon’s number but he didn’t pick up.

On second thought, she wasn’t worried. She knew the kids were safe with Brandon, probably because she trusted him.

Why would I even trust him? Hannah!! You need not trust anybody!! She thought and just then the front door burst open.

Hannah thought it was Brandon and the kids but it wasn’t them. It was Jessica instead. She looked so sad as she walked inside the house.

“Hey, are you alright?” Hannah asked and Jessica sighed and went to sit on the couch, beside Hannah.

“Yeah,” she said as she stared into nothing and Hannah nodded. They were both quiet as no one spoke.

“She said it was an accident, she slipped and fell on the fireplace,” Jessica said, breaking the silence between them.

“Oh, I hope she’s okay now?” Hannah asked

“I believe she will,” Jessica said and they went silent again.

“I know my grandma has been an asshole all this time, plotting evil against you and Brandon.

She just doesn’t know the importance of family yet, if she does, she will surely change her ways” Jessica said breaking the silence.

“I hope so,” Hannah said and Jessica stood up staring around.

“Where is mom?” She asked

“She went on a business trip. She would be back by tomorrow or next” Hannah said and Jessica nodded before walking to her room.

She took her bath and decided to take a short rest.

Meanwhile, Hannah is still in the sitting room waiting for Brandon and the kids and suddenly she hears her phone ring, it is a call from Brandon.

She quickly answered the phone call.

“I am going to kill you Brandon” Hannah yelled and Brandon scoffed at the other end of the phone.

“I and the kids would be eating in a fancy restaurant, do not wait for us; you should eat all by yourself,” Brandon said and ended the call on her.

Hannah paused for a few seconds and then sighed. So, he took my kids to a restaurant without me. Wow, she muttered as she stood up and walked to the kitchen to get something to eat.

She was gonna do Brandon a payback, she thought as she dished out the food the maid prepared and ate.

After she was done eating, she went to take her bath and changed into her casual wear. She then went back downstairs to wait for the kids.

It wasn’t like she was worried about her kids but she could not go to bed knowing her kids hadn’t arrived yet even though she knew they were safe with Brandon.

Just then the front door flung open revealing Brandon and the kids. Each of them held two shopping bags in their hands while Brandon held six shopping bags in his hands. Three on each hand.

“Mommy,” the kids yelled happily as Hannah stood up and walked towards them.

“Mommy, Daddy took us to a fancy restaurant to eat and then he took us shopping and brought us different toys,” Jayden said and Hannah stared at the kids who nodded in agreement.

Hannah smiled not knowing what to say and asked the kids to go inside. The kids walked to the sitting room and started unboxing the toys.

Hannah felt it was too much and the toys were god damn expensive and Brandon bought a lot of the expensive toys.

“Isn’t this too much for the kids? He’s going to spoil them” Hannah thought with a worried look on her face, but on second thought, the kids looked so happy, and the toys were also educational toys that would help them study too.

Hannah sighed as she gave Brandon a side eye. She then walked to the kids.

“Honey, it’s bedtime. Common let’s go. You guys can play with the toys tomorrow” Hannah said and the kids pouted.

“But Mommy, we should play a bit, please,” Audrey said

“No, you have school tomorrow, so you guys need to go to bed in time,” Hannah said and the kids frowned, they didn’t look so happy.

“Kids, it’s bedtime. We will all play with the toys tomorrow and have so much fun together” Brandon stepped in and the kids yelled happily and quickly dropped the toys and rushed to their room.

Hannah turned to Brandon.

“What the hell did you do to my kids? If I tell them to go to bed, they do obey without any grumble, and just today they went out with you, everything changed” Hannah said with a frown on her face and Brandon shrugged.

“Maybe they like me more than they like you,” Brandon said with an innocent look on his face and Hannah bit her lips.

She was about to speak when she heard two of her kids’ voices, she turned and saw Allison and Addison.

“Mommy, can daddy pick us up from school every day?” Allison asked and Hannah smiled at them.

“Honey, Daddy is a very busy man. He runs one of the biggest corporations in the country, so he can’t. Besides I will be the one picking you guys up from school. Right, Brandon?” Hannah said with a smile on her face as she turned to Brandon, waiting for him to agree with her.

“Honey, I promise to clear all my schedule, from today hence, I will be picking you guys up from school and we will go out and have lots of fun,” Brandon said and both kids hugged Brandon happily.

Hannah frowned and tightened her fist, looking so angry, but then she quickly replaced the frown on her face with a smile.

“Sweethearts, you guys should wait for me in your room, I will be there in a bit,” Hannah said and the kids nodded, before going back to their room.

Hannah turned to Brandon angrily.

“What do you want from me?” She asked

“What are you talking about? I am only performing my duty as a father” Brandon said looking confused and Hannah laughed.

“We both know that’s not true, you are trying to steal my kids from me” Hannah yelled angrily.

“And why would I steal my kids from their mother? They are our kids, hannah” Brandon said and Hannah frowned.

“Point of correction *My kids* not *Our kids*. I gave birth to them, so they are my kids” Hannah yelled angrily, and with that, she walked away.
