Chapter 49
Kim sent out texts to her girls about the courthouse wedding. Ice texted the guys. The promotion turned out to be a great idea and cleared up Kim’s work schedule by half. The following Thursday, Ice and Kim went to the courthouse.
Raine, Jax, Maverick, Sam, Smokey, Hunter, Steele, Carmen, I. T., and Ginger were there with them. Kim wore a white lace dress that hit just at her knees. Ice wore black dress pants and a white dress shirt. He drew the line at wearing a tie. Kim was fine with that. She had too much of that in her past. A short ceremony later and they were announced as husband and wife.Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!
“Congrats man, never thought I’d see the day!” Jax slapped Ice on the back laughing.
“You and me both brother. But when it happens, it hits you like a freight train.” Ice replied.
“Yeah, sounds about right.” Jax agreed.
Raine hugged Kim. “Oh my gosh! Congrats Kim! You know the house near us is for sale. And the property beside us is too!” Raine replied.
“Good to know. Cause we definitely aren’t living at the clubhouse once the baby is born.” Kim replied.
“We’ll check it out baby. Don’t worry.” Ice replied.
“Really?” Kim asked.
“Of course. No kid of mine will be raised in that clubhouse.” Ice confirmed.
Sam hugged Kim. “Congrats, you got your man.”
“Yeah, it was an interesting trip that’s for sure.” Kim replied.
“Honey, ain’t they all.” Sam replied.
“Safe trip you two!” Raine shouted as they left.
“Yes, safe trip!” Sam shouted too.
“Don’t worry, we got the shop!” Ginger shouted.
“Yeah, I’ll be helping out too.” I. T. called out.
Finally, after all the hugs, pats on the back, and goodbyes, they managed to get on the road to their honeymoon destination. Luckily it was only a two-hour drive.
Ice took Kim to a cozy little cabin in the mountains. He knew they needed some quiet time alone with no outside interruptions. Time for just the two of them to enjoy. They spent their days and nights making love and talking. They took short walks in the woods just enjoying each other’s company.
It was the most she had ever gotten Ice to talk. She realized how much she loved just hearing his voice. He told her about when he joined the MC and all the crap jobs he had to do until he patched in. He talked about when he joined the special forces.
He also told her about how hard he had fought his attraction for her, not wanting to have an Old lady for the fear of being like his dad. He even told her about the government jobs he’d done. He didn’t want to have any more secrets from her. Kim took it well, much better than what he expected.
They talked about the future and what they each wanted out of it. “I cannot believe it’s already time to go home.” Kim sighed. “Seems like we just got here and it’s so peaceful I don’t want to leave.”
“I think we make it mandatory to get away at least once a year just the two of us.” Ice replied.
“Don’t you mean the three of us?” Kim asked.
“No. I think we can survive leaving the kid with family for a weekend getaway for the two of us to unwind and enjoy just each other.” Ice explained.
“Ok, I agree.” Kim replied.
EPILOGUE Five years later in the Future.
Raine and Jax have Maverick who is now six and a little girl named Jasmine who is 4. Maverick is his daddy made over. Jasmine takes after her mommy. They are still in love and still can’t keep their hands off each other.
Raine is currently pregnant with their third baby. But hasn’t told Jax yet. She’s planning a surprise to tell him. Knowing him it could go either way, happy or pissed.
Kim and Ice had a baby boy they named Maddox after Ice’s grandfather. He has his mom’s fire red hair and his dad’s piercing blue eyes. Their second child was also a boy they named Blake. They did in fact buy the property beside of Raine and Jax.
The salon is as busy as ever. They’ve hired more help so Kim can spend time raising the boys. Ice even took off as much time as he could so they can be a family. He’s never acted like his dad much to his relief. The two boys ended up being all the kids they wanted.
He still tells her everyday how he can’t live without her in his bed every night. True to their word, once a year the two of them get away to the cabin, which Ice ending up buying. Some of the others borrow it also.
Crash decided that he would rather be with Vixen than his club. So, he stepped down as President and Shade stepped up as President. He moved into the clubhouse in Jax’s old room with Vixen. He asked her to be his old lady and she said yes.
They are both very much in love and enjoying their grandkids. It took Jax a while to come around, but finally after some threats from Raine, he gave in and wished his mom happiness. The kids call him gramps. Jax came around to that also.
Crash joined the MC but is only a member. He said he was too old to be an officer and wanted to sit back and let the younger generation handle things. He and Vixen had wasted so much time apart, he wanted to make up for lost time.
