Chapter 106
I woke up to the sound of laughter and clattering dishes coming from downstairs. What a ridiculous sound to wake up to, especially in a house where I never really heard laughter before. It felt like waking up to the sound of rain in a desert. Everything felt so weird and I tried going back to sleep but it was a lost cause, my eyes were wide open and it didn’t look like sleep was going to come back anytime soon no matter how long 1 stayed on the bed.
I groggily got out of bed and made my way to the kitchen, my legs wobbly as I walked down the stairs. I held the rail right careful not to fall but I was almost down when I realized that I should have just stayed in bed and kept begging for sleep to return to me. When I reached the kitchen, I was met with a sight that made my blood boil
The girl from last night was sitting at the counter, wearing Aston’s shirt and eating from a plate. She looked so comfortable in his white shirt that was practically see through and her nipples were dangling everywhere. Her smile was as wide as her head. The sight of her was the worst way to start a day but I had a facade to maintain so I kept a smile on my face as I walked towards the both of them even though I felt like wolfing out and shredding the both of them into pieces.
It was the sound of her laughter that I heard while I was upstairs and it was even more irritating now that I was closer to her. I felt like ripping the shirt off her and stuffing it in her mouth.
They were either blind or pretending not to notice that I was standing right in front of them and I didn’t exactly feel like introducing myself either so I just stood there watching the both of them in complete disgust.
She was trying to put on a pair of shoes at once while leaning against Aston for balance. She was giggling like there was anything funny about putting onsa pair of shoes. How dumb could she exactly be? I didn’t blame her though, the person that picked her up at the restaurant was equally dumb.
It looked like they had just spent the night together and while I was doing my best to not show how affected I was by it, I was fuming inside. My head was about to explore just thinking about all the nasty things that he probably did to this woman that was standing right in front of me. I was mad and I was also mad about being mad. Whatever he decided to do with his body. and who he decided to do it with was none of my business. He had already made himself clear that he wanted nothing to do with me so I wanted to clear whatever thing I was feeling in chest and get rid of it. There was no space or time for feelings.
After what seemed like an eternity, Aston noticed me standing there and quickly shoved the girl off him, and even while he did that, he held onto her chest to keep her in place so she would not fall.
“Hey, you’re up,” he said, trying to sound casual. But I could see the guilt written all over his face. He was trying to act like nothing was wrong, but I knew better. I just didn’t care.
I knew him too well. He was trying to hide something from me, and I was not in any way determined to find out what it was. He could go to hell with whatever he was keeping in his heart for all I cared.

I rolled my eyes, feeling a pang of jealousy that I couldn’t ignore “Good morning.” I said, trying to sound cheerful, But tone was laced with sarcasm and even if Aston could not pick it up, I was sure as hell that the girl could and part of me was glad to let her in on the fact that I was not happy about her presence.
I couldn’t believe he would do something like this to me, and then have the nerve to act like nothing was wrong. Did he think I was **? Did he think I wouldn’t notice the way he was looking at her, the way he was touching her? Not that he was trying to hide it anyway because he was as clear as day about his intentions when he was picking her up yesterday and I was going to respect that decision and stay in my space. All he needed to do was stay in his space too because not doing that could make me blow up and that would not be good for any of us. I just hope he knew.
The girl turned to me and smiled. “Hey, good morning! I made breakfast, help yourself. She gestured to the spread on the counter, like she was trying to make herself at home. It was like she was planning to move in here and make herself a wife or something, I just didn’t get it.NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.
I felt a surge of anger at her audacity. Who did she think she was anyway? She was just a one-night stand, a fleeting moment
in Aston’s life. She didn’t belong here, in our apartment, wearing his shirt and eating our food. Some guts she had asking me if I wanted to eat, why would I want to cat a meal that she prepared? Why the hell would I want that to happen?

I thanked her, wondering if Aston had asked her to cook because he knew I couldn’t. I mean, I’m not exactly the best cook but that’s not the point. The point is that he was trying to replace me, to make me feel like I’m not needed. If that was what he was trying to do then he needed to hurry the f** up with it and get me out of the place. I wanted to leave his freaking vicinity and get on with my life. I was tired of being tied with whatever he had to do
He was trying to show me that he didn’t need me, that he could find someone else to take care of him and I was not mad about it, what I was mad about was him keeping me around when he knew that he didn’t need me.
“Did you sleep well?” she asked me, her eyes sparkling with amusement. She was enjoying this, enjoying the fact that she was getting under my skin. I felt a wave of hatred towards her, towards Aston, towards the whole situation but it didn’t wipe the smile off my face. They were not going to get the best of me.
I nodded, trying to play it cool. “Yeah, I slept great. Didn’t hear a thing” But that was a lie. I had heard everything, and it had kept me up all night. I had heard the laughter, the whispers, the creaks and groans of the bed. I had heard it all, and it had made me sick to my stomach.
She laughed. “Good, good. I barely got any sleep, my back is killing me.” She glanced at Aston, who was scowling at her. “Come on, let’s go he urged her, practically pulling her out of the kitchen.
As they left. I couldn’t help but feel a wave of hatred towards Aston. He was acting so weird, and I knew he was trying to hide something from me. The girl turned back to me and asked, “Doesn’t Aston’s shirt look good on me? He tore my dress last night
I forced a smile, trying to appear unbothered. “Yeah, it fits you just fine.” But inside, I was seething. I couldn’t believe he would do something like this to rue, and then have the nerve to act like he was the most innocent man in the world. I couldn’t believe he would bring her here, and expect me to be okay with it.
I knew that I did not matter in the grand scheme of things he had going on for him but I still thought that I deserved a little bit of respect because of who I was and what we shared.
Aston practically dragged the girl out of the apartment, leaving me seething with anger. I couldn’t believe he would do. something like this to ne. I knew I had to confront him, but for now, I just stood there, fuming. The entire smelling of cooked food, and I felt like I was going to vomit. I felt like my whole world was crashing down around me, and I
atmosphere was didn’t know how to stop it
1 felt too disgusted to even look at what she cooked knowing fully well that it was going to be good.
