Chapter 87
I was still seething standing in front of the b**d after putting his food down for him to eat but he did nit seem to be bothered by my anger one bit. Heated the food without fear that could have poisoned him to die and the confidence he had that I could not do anything to him was absolutely provoking. He kept doing things to rip my m**al health into shreds one by one but I could not seem to be capable of anything that would get him mad. Like really mad, for more than just a few minutes, something he would not be able to easily move on from. I needed something that would hit him as hard as he hit me. Something that would keep him up at night in the same tanner it did to me but I didn’t know what would not him that hard.
The guts for him to call me a s**t for allegedly sleeping with Brax while he had the guts to **k Mara like a rabbit whatever chance he got. How hypocritical was that? Him steadily always trying to belittle me and make me feel like *t while acted like he was some sort of demigod.
“Who I sleep with should be none of your business and you should get this thing over with and stop dragging it out like a **y. Reject me like the man you pretend to be and let me be on my merry way!”
He looked up from his meal, his brows knitting into a tight frown and his eyes shooting laser beams at me. He held the fork in his hand, no longer as a cutlery but as a weapon. My heart raced a little but I managed to control it. I had no reason to be scared. At least not yet.
“You’re delusional, Kira” Aston sneered, his eyes rolling with disdain. “You don’t know what you’re saying. You’re just a foolish little girl who can’t even begin to understand the complexities of our situation and a woman, especially is not going to tell me how to act like a man. I’m going to do with our bond what I please and not your s**ty self or the man one like you you’re sleeping with is going to tell me what to do, okay?”
I stood my ground, my heart racing with anger, he kept calling me a s** and it was hurting me real bad because I did feel like a s**t for sleeping with him and for what I was doing with Brax. I was trying to act like I was not affected by his words and I wondered if he could see through by facade because the wall that I built to shield myself from the hurt was slowly crashing down right in front of me.
“I know exactly what I’m saying, Aston. I want you to reject me, to set me free from this bond. And if I could, I’d reject you too. You’re a monster, Aston. A cruel and heartless monster who only cares about himself. It was my fault for thinking telling a monster that he was a monster was going to hurt him in any way.
Aston laughed, a cold, mirthless sound. “I’ll never reject you, Kira. This bond will remain between us until I decide otherwise. And that won’t be anytime soon. You’re mine, Kira. Mine, and I’ll never let you go.” The watcher words rolled out of his tongue with ease made me wonder if he felt any emotions at all except anger and the urge to ruin people’s life. He had said the words a million times before and I was still not used to hearing it. Each time I heard it, it made my skin crawl.
I felt a surge of anger at his words, my hands clenched into fists that I could not use to hit him in the freaking face. I was seething like I was going to explode,
“You have no right to say that, Aston. No right to claim me as yours. I’m not your property, I’m a person. And I won’t be treated like a possession” My words were starting to seem like a rant. I was saying the same words over and over again and there were starting to seem like nothing but mere words. I was losing my mind having to repeat the same words in response to the same words. It felt like I was stuck in a time loop with this ba**d and losing my mind every time was inevitable.
“I really hate you Aston and no amount of words can describe my hatred, you are a monster.”
Aston’s face darkened, his eyes flashing with anger. “You dare to question me? You dare to defy me? I’ll show you what happens when you cross me, Kira. I’ll show you the true meaning of power. I’ll show you what a monster truly looks like. The monster you want me to be so bad, I’m going to be it and you’re going to hate more than you already do.”
stood my ground, my heart pounding in my chest. “I’m not afraid of you, Aston. And I won’t be bullied into being afraid of you. You may have power, but I have something you’ll never have. I have dignity. And I won’t let you take that away from me. The words felt weird in my mouth when I remembered all the things that he had made me do. All the embarrassing things that he made me do, the times that we had sex, the name calling, all of that made me feel like I didn’t have any dignity anymore and I was scared that he was going to question all of that but he didn’t instead Aston’s eyes blazed »

his face inches from mine.
“You’ll regret those words, Kira. Mark my words. You’ll regret defying me.” I could feel his breath on mine as he spoke and it was annoying as it was intoxicating.Content is property of NôvelDrama.Org.
The tension between us took all the air away from my lungs, the air thick with unspoken threats. For one second, I thought he was going to come closer, I wanted him to come closer. I wanted to wrap my hand around his head and pull his lips onto mine. His eyes lingered on my lips and I wondered if we both land the same thing running through our minds or once again, I was the s**t, I was still searching for the courage to push him away and cur through the tension that had us both still when, suddenly, the door opened and Mara walked in.
It was the first time in my life that I was happy to see her walk thugh the door.
Her eyes narrowed, her gaze fixed on me with suspicion. “What’s going on here?” she asked, her voice dripping with malice. “What’s going on between you two?” she had always been suspicious and the position we were in was not exactly an innocent
one.
She couldn’t pretend to be unaware that Aston slept with whatever woman he pleased so this was not as shocking for her as anyone would expect it to be.
Aston smiled, his eyes gleaming with amusement. “Just a little disagreement, my dear. Nothing to concern yourself with. Kira here is just having a bit of a tantrum.” He waved everything that just happened off so easily and I marvelled at the change in his tone.
Mara’s eyes never left mine, her gaze burning with intensity. “I think I’ll be the judge of that. Kira, tell me about your relationship with Brax.”
I hesitated, unsure of what to say. But Aston’s presence seemed to loom over me, his eyes warning me to keep quiet and I was tempted to blow like a whistle and ruin whatever thing they had going on in seconds but what good would it do needed him off my hands anyway. “Nothing’s going on. I said in no mood for explanation.
me, I
Mara’s eyes narrowed, her face darkening with suspicion. “I see. Well, I hope you’re not getting too comfortable, Kira. Aston is mine, and I won’t share him with anyone. Especially not some little nobody like you.” She spoke like I wanted Aston. It was a struggle not to roll my eyes at the both of them
Aston chuckled, his eyes gleaming with amusement. “Ah, Mara, you’re so possessive. I like that about you. But don’t worry, Kira here is just a fleeting distraction. She means nothing to me
I felt a surge of disgust at their display, my heart heavy with resentment. But I kept my mouth shut, my eyes fixed on the foor.
Then, suddenly, Aston spoke up. “Kira, go pack your bags. We’re going on a trip. Just the two of us.”
My heart s**ped a beat, my mind racing with questions. But I didn’t dare ask, didn’t dare defy him. So I nodded, my voice barely audible. “Yes, Aston. Whatever you say.”
