Chapter 55 Acquiescence
Chapter 55 Acquiescence
There was decisive fierce flashing in his eyes. He pressed the pistol without hesitation.
The bullet entered his body, and the severe pain made him sober instantly.
The man didn't expect Wesley to be so cruel to himself as he originally planned to come in after he was
fainted.
But he had missed his chance, and the alarm sounded outside.
The door of the villa was knocked open. He quickly flashed out of the kitchen and went up to the
second floor. He jumped directly from the hidden window sill and took advantage of the night to hide on
a dense tree next to the villa.
"I missed it." After a while, a low voice like a duck came out in the dark night.
Jack led the police into the villa and quickly found Wesley.
"Boss, are you okay?"
Wesley ignored his injuries, and said anxiously, "Send Harriet to the hospital."
Jack saw the weak Harriet on the ground, and quickly ordered, "Hurry, take her to the ambulance."
"Sergeant Davis, please keep confidential about what happened today." If the affairs of the giants were
exposed to the public, it would be difficult to deal with the rumors.
Sergeant Davis nodded, “Assistant Jack, do not worry and I will keep it confidential."
Police staff began to collect evidence in the villa. Although Wesley gave himself a shot, he was not
seriously injured.
It's just that the man who released the smoke bomb was really powerful. After leaving the danger,
Wesley tried to stay awake, but in the end he couldn't hold back, and he fainted as soon as he got on
the ambulance.
Jack quickly held him up, "Doctor, please check my boss's wound!"
The doctor glanced at Wesley and continued to stop bleeding for Harriet: "He is fine. You don't have to
worry too much."
What? He already fainted!
Jack turned to be solemn. Who had the gut to secretly kill boss in Opera Villa.
This was the first time he met such thing since he had followed him for so many years.
Jack had no clue for the time being and could only wait for the police station's outcome.
At the hospital, Harriet and Wesley were pushed into the operating room together. They were both shot
and injured, requiring surgery to remove the bullets.
"Oh no, the patient's blood type is special." The nurse checked Harriet's blood type. "The hospital has
no storage."
Harriet had lost too much blood and must have a blood transfusion; otherwise it was likely to be life-
threatening.
"Go out and ask them if her family can come here soon."
The nurse hurried out to find Jack.
This happened so suddenly and Jack had no idea how to people with the matching blood type.
Wesley woke up soon and Jack told him about the situation of Harriet.
His gunshot wound was not serious, just needed to take out the bullet and bandage the wound.
Harriet's blood type was special, and blood donors were hard to find. The fastest way now was to find
Louisa. This material belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.
Wesley frowned but did not let Jack contact her.
He suddenly remembered that Colin was Harriet's brother, maybe he had the same blood type with
Harriet.
"Jack, call Colin and let him come to the hospital immediately."
"Okay, I will do it immediately."
In the review class, Colin was studying seriously when he saw a call from a strange phone number. He
ignored it.
But the phone was keeping lighted on and he couldn't ignore it at all.
He could only bend down and secretly answered it, "Hello, who's that?"
Jack simply said, "Colin, your sister had an accident at Glorious Hospital. Come over here right now."
"Be here as far as you can." Jack hung up the phone and immediately asked other people for help,
hoping to find other blood donors soon.
Colin stared at the phone inexplicably, thinking it might be a scam.
But he felt something bad happened in his heart. He called Harriet but she didn't answer it.
"What's wrong?" He grumbled and frowned. He called her four times in a row, but no one answered.
Colin panicked till now got up and rushed outside the classroom without any hesitation.
Louisa realized his strangeness long ago, and shouted at him, "Colin, what are you doing? Where are
you going?"
Colin did not turn his head back.
Louisa had no mood for class and she threw the textbook, chasing him out.
"Colin, stop there, Colin." After coming out, Colin stopped a taxi and hurried to the hospital.
Louisa quickly drove to keep up. They arrived at the hospital one after another in just a few minutes.
Colin called Jack immediately, "Where is Harriet? I'm in the hospital!"
"Colin!" Louisa caught up and patted him on the shoulder, complaining, "Why did you run? What
happened?"
Colin was not in a mood to explain but looked around the hospital.
Jack came out of the aisle and frowned as soon as he saw Louisa. He could never let her know what
had happened.
He thought he needed to find for an excuse but Louisa pretended not to know him after he got closer to
them, "Is this…?"
Colin shook his head, but he knew that he was the one who noticed him that Harriet had an accident,
"Where is my sister?"
Jack was calm, "Miss Clark had a car accident. I happened to pass by. The doctor said that she lost too
much blood and needed blood transfusion, but her blood type is special, I can only find you.
"Okay, use my blood." Colin rolled up his sleeves without hesitation.
Jack stopped him and explained, "You have to do a blood type match with the nurse first."
Seeing Colin so worried about his sister, Louisa couldn't help asking, "What blood type is your sister?"
The next nurse replied, "RH negative blood."
Louisa's eyes brightened suddenly. She was thinking about how to further enhance her relationship
with Colin. Such a good opportunity was right in front of her, "I am of this blood type."
"Really?" Colin held her shoulder happily.
Louisa nodded affirmatively: "Please draw off my blood."
Jack signaled Louisa to stop her as he knew her physical condition, but she gave him a stern look.
Se dragged Colin and ran with the nurse before he did further movement.
Jack quickly ran to report the situation to Wesley.
"Miss Jones insists to donate her blood." Jack tried his best to say.
He thought Wesley would be worried about her, but he said nothing.
In the blood donation room, Louisa's face was distorted. She was a self-willed person with a big temper
but she was most afraid of pain.
Colin stood apologetically and let her hold his arm, "Louisa, thank you so much."
Louisa blinked, "If you really want to thank me, just agree to date me."
Colin blushed, and nodded slowly after a while as if he made a huge decision.
Louisa's eyes flashed with success. She really wanted to thank the sister who she hadn't met.
After Harriet's blood transfusion, her face improved a lot.
Louisa was originally of poor physical fitness. After donating her blood, she took a break. She was
going to visit his sister with Colin, but Sandra kept calling to urge her to go home as if there was
something important to tell her.
"I got it. I will come back immediately." She secretly stayed with Colin these days. If something was
discovered by her mother, she would suffer from it. Louisa thought it was better to be obedient.
When going out, she met Jack who came to Colin.
When they passed by, she stopped a little bit and warned in a low voice, "You are not allowed to tell my
family and Wesley about this."
Jack glanced at her, thinking he was needless to tell them as boss already knew it and he actually
acquiesce to let her to do the donation.
In the ward, Wesley sat quietly beside the bed, and Harriet was still in coma.
This was the third time she went to the hospital this month.
Looking at her pale face, his heart was hurt inexplicably.
A subtle crack appeared on his hard heart wall when he recalled that she blocked in front of him
without hesitation..
"Boss, there is news from the police station." Jack pushed in.
Wesley converged his feeling, turned around, and motioned for him to continue.
"The man who plotted against you was a fugitive murderer, named Patrick Grant."
Wesley's mouth twitched coldly with his eyes flashing, "Got it."
Some people just couldn't wait to kill him?
