Date with Me, Sugar Mama

Chapter 12 You're Here To Gamble?

Chapter 12 You're Here To Gamble?

Mike stopped his pace and looked back, and in the next moment, he was dragged by Viola towards

Steven.

“Mr. Chambers, come here, I bring a friend to you.” With a smile, Viola pushed Mike towards Steven.

“This is Mike.”

Steven was suspicious looking at Mike's frightening eyes, but he didn't mind it. He asked Viola, “How

you finished your work? Can we have a talk now?”

Viola stared at his poker face, but could not see any useful information. Her gaze darted back and forth

between Steven and Mike, but she still pushed Mike down on the seat before she sat down. “Yes, we

shall talk.”

Steven couldn't understand why she took another man with her since they were to talk about their

marriage, he frowned, “Let him go.”

“No.” Viola refused, or she would leave.

Steven lay his cold eyes on Mike, who was in the way!

Mike shivered in his chair, almost frightened to tears.

Viola patted the table, “Before we talk, I want to ask you a few questions, you should answer truthfully.” Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

“Sure.”

“What are you doing here?”

Viola stared at Steven closely, paying attention to his subtle expression.

From these two encounters, she got a sense of what kind of man he was, and his mind was so hard to

read that she had to be careful not to err in judgment.

“For horse riding.”

“I'm not kidding here!”

Viola rolled her eyes, took a deep breath, turned to Mike, then looked at Steven, “You are still not telling

the truth!”

Steven seemed to be thinking of something, and then he thought of what he found in the investigation

of her identity yesterday.

He looked toward Mike indifferently, “Let him go, and I will tell you the truth.”

Viola hesitated and then waved her hands at Mike. Mike immediately ran away.

“Can you say it now?” Viola spoke unhappily.

“Come.” Steven got up and walked to the basement’s entrance in the corner of the café, holding her

hand.

As her cold hands were suddenly wrapped by his warm palms, Viola froze and did not try to break

away.

At the entrance, a waiter blocked their way and did not let them go through till Steven pulled out a black

card from his pocket.

His movements were smooth, and it was obvious that he knew the place well and had been there many

times.

The scene was different in the basement. In the dim lamplight, it was wreathed by smoke. Viola

frowned in annoyance, looked around at the layout of the casino by the dim light.

There were noisy crowds at the gambling tables, scantily-clad dancers smoking and laughing with the

men in the booths, and waiters busily shuttling through the crowd, either serving drinks or leading

customers to the Windows for chips.

This was an underground casino!

Viola enlightened, no wonder there were so many cars but no figures seen at the parking lot!

Viola had been to the horse farm several times, but she never expected there was an illegal

underground casino!

She carried out investigation, was to guard against such a situation.

“You are here to gamble?” Viola could not help feeling disgusted about Steven.
