Dear Ex-wife Marry Me

Chapter 1938

She was puzzled; she couldn't quite figure out why Fitch was so into her. Their acquaintance was brief, yet he seemed utterly smitten, as if she was the only one for him. Greenfield was brimming with beauties, and she didn't see herself as the cream of the crop. They exchanged glances, the air thick with unspoken words, silence reigning between them for a moment. Fitch couldn't stand the tension and shifted his gaze away first.

"Is something on your mind?"

Zoey felt her heart skip a beat. "Well, I noticed Nolan talks more when we play video games together. I was thinking... maybe I could play with him for an hour each day." She felt uneasy, avoiding Fitch's eyes. But Fitch fixed his gaze back on her, making Zoey's cheeks flush and her heartbeat race. Noticing Nolan peering over from a distance, Fitch suddenly grabbed Zoey by the wrist and pulled her towards the secluded flower wall.

Before Zoey could question his intentions, his lips were on hers. "Fitch!" She tried to resist, but Fitch seemed to know just how to touch her, sending waves of weakness through her body. Confused, she wondered if she was really this susceptible. Her attempts to push him away weakened.

They stood hidden from view in the living room, surrounded by the scent of flowers, making it harder to breathe. Fitch paused, their foreheads touching as if he was struggling with something. Zoey's situation was hardly better; if Fitch hadn't been holding her, she might have collapsed. She thought about slapping him, but her hand just couldn't gather the strength. This content © Nôv/elDr(a)m/a.Org.

Fitch, sensing her turmoil, pressed her hand against his cheek. "If you want to hit me, go ahead." His confession was raw; since she arrived, he found himself taking multiple showers a day to calm his

desires. n

Zoey turned away, her chest heaving with emotion Fitch took her silence as consent and kissed her again. Her fists tightly pounded his

shoulder, more a caress than a net

protest. After ten more minutes, he finally let her go, her face burning with heat. It wasn't entirely Fitch's fault; she was irresistibly tempting.

Just then, Zoey's phone buzzed, a message from Henry breaking the moment. They had barely spoken that week. The message was brief: [Zoey, let's break up.]

It felt like a punch to Zoey's chest. She pushed Fitch away, quickly checking her messages. Fitch watched as she called Henry back, his voice tired but clear. "Zoey, you saw my message? Let's break up."

The sudden breakup felt like a slap

to Zoey, not because she was deeply attached to Henry, but because of the shame. Despite technically

having a boyfriend, she couldn't net

resist Ditch's advances. Why did she react like that to him? It was as if he knew her body too well. Feeling guilty, Henry's message was both a relief and a source of frustration.

Henry was a good catch, but to propose a breakup so soon after moving abroad was surprising. After a moment, she softly asked, "Can I ask why?"

There was a pause on Henry's end, his reluctance palpable. Then, a woman's voice teased from behind him, "Ate and ran, Mr. Sullivan?"
