Dear Ex-wife Marry Me

Chapter 88

Chapter 88

She straightened up immediately, knowing that if Maria saw the car and couldn’t control herself from

coming over, everything would be exposed. She had to call Maria instantly and remind het to hide

Coco Given lan’s severe dog allergy, he could literally pass out from an allergic reaction.

Plus, he had met Coco before and would likely recognize the dog instantly

She was just about to grab her phone when she heard Jeff, from the front seat, asking

Your grandpa said your marital home is just up ahead He’ll be there in about two days to check out

your living situation. He said he’s curious about how you and she are getting on.” No one really liked

Maja, not lan, and definitely not Jeff

Ever since the Pennyfeather family got engaged to the Raymond family, they’ve been acting all high

and mighty. It was disgusting. If it wasn’t for Maja saving Holden Raymond’s life once, they wouldn’t

have had the chance to act all pompous and egocentric.

The Raymond family helped with their first funding round, and now they were expected to help out

again with their second round, which was projected to be worth 300 million dollars. And from the

Pennyfeather family’s attitude, it seemed like they were trying to gain control over lan through their

daughter.

But Ms. Pennyfeather seemed to have a knack for keeping Holden happy. He was very concerned

about their marriage and had even arranged everything before leaving the country. He said he wanted

to personally check out the marital home and look for signs of their life together. NôvelDrama.Org content.

Living arrangements can’t really be faked, can they?

lan himself hadn’t even been to Rosewood Manor yet. There was none of his stuff there. The moment

his grandpa stepped foot into the place, everything would be blown wide open. Jeff had only driven

here to show lan the way.

Given how indifferent lan was about the whole marriage thing, he probably didn’t even know where

Rosewood Manor was.

Upon hearing this, lan’s face turned gloomy.

Rosewood Manor was just 200 meters away. It was a very quiet and beautiful house in a great location,

surrounded by parks.

His grandpa had obviously chosen the house carefully, which showed how much he liked Maja.

They hadn’t noticed that Maja’s face had turned slightly pale. She quickly dialed Maria’s number.

Maria picked up almost instantly, sounding cheerful.

“Ms. Pennyfeather, are you back? Coco has been acting up as if she heard your car.”

“Keep an eye on her.”

Maja’s voice was urgent, as though she could already hear the dog barking.

Maria paused. She had never heard Maja talk like that before. But she was smart and quickly figured it

out.

“Is Mr. Raymond coming over? I’ll hide Coco right away if he is.”

Maja sighed a little. Maria was indeed a keeper, a gem gifted to her by Holden. She quickly glanced at

lan. Her words hadn’t given anything away. Ian probably had no clue what she was‘ talking about.

“Okay, thanks. Please take care of it as soon as possible.”

After hanging up, Maria grabbed Coco and took her to the room they had prepared earlier.

The room was at the back of the villa, and you wouldn’t hear Coco unless you wère near that room.

Mr. Raymond probably wouldn’t have time to take a stroll around the villa.

She then hurriedly asked the other servants to sanitize the villa.

The car had already stopped at the front gate.

lan had never been to this so–called marital home before, and he felt an inexplicable resistance to

being there now.

Jeff caught his expression in the rearview mirror and suggested, “I could bring your stuff over next time.

You don’t have to go in personally. You could just come over when Holden decides to have a meal

here.”

lan lightly massaged his temple and responded indifferently, “Hmm.”

Maja’s palms were sweaty. She breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing his reply.

lan was very sensitive to people’s emotions and his eyes fell on her, “What’s got you all worked up?”
