Devoted Love, Mr. Hayes’ Darling Wife

Chapter 1048: Serving the blind is a difficult task.

When they arrived at Aqua, Nico sat in the passenger seat, relaxed and with his long legs folded inside the car, with no immediate intention of getting out.

Micaela looked at him as he unbuckled his seat belt and reminded him, “Mr. Nico, we’re home, it’s time to get out.”

“Help me unbuckle my seatbelt”.

Micaela: “… it’s within your reach, just touch it.”

Nico frowned, her tone was not kind, “now I’m blind, or I’m blind because of you, don’t you want to be responsible?”

“…”

Micaela reached down and helped him unbuckle his seatbelt, got out of the car, reached around the front, opened the passenger door and helped him out.

“Lift your leg and be careful.”

Nico suddenly went blind, without warning, and was unable to adjust to many things. It would be disingenuous to say he wasn’t suffocating, but it seemed less boring to be blind for a few days when he could enslave Micaela without limits at that moment.

Micaela helped the blind man into the building, and when he entered the elevator, he met the older woman who was on the floor with him.

“Yo, what’s wrong with this young man’s eyes, blind man?”

He himself said he was blind, and that’s what he said, but it was another thing for others to say he was blind.

Nico was already grumpy, and when he heard the woman’s surprised tone, he became even more enraged, “You’re the one who’s blind, your whole family is blind.”

“Tsk, why do you speak so harshly, young man? I have been kind enough to take care of you, but you curse me, can you ask your girlfriend to judge whether you are bad or not?”

When Micaela saw that Nico was about to argue with the older woman, she hurried to play peacemaker and whispered to Nico, “Come on, don’t turn on her.”

Nico slipped an arm around Micaela’s shoulders and burst out, “Who are you helping?”

“I’ll help you.”

“This is your attitude to help me?”

Nico has gauze around his eye, so he’s an injured patient, but he doesn’t look like one at all.

With good reason.

It didn’t take long for the elevator to reach the thirteenth floor and Micaela helped Nico out of the elevator and to the door.

Micaela opened the door and put on slippers, invisible to Nico, and Micaela put a pair of men’s slippers on his feet and helped him put them on.

She then helped Nico go sit on the couch.

After tending to Nico, Micaela took off the chain bag she was carrying and threw it on the couch, saying, “Sit here while I make you steamed pork.”

It’s an open kitchen and while Micaela cooks in the kitchen, she occasionally glances at Nico to see if he needs help.

Bored with sitting, Nico gets up and gropes the air blindly on this side of the couch.

And every now and then he stretches his hand toward his eyes, as if trying to see things.

Micaela found it a bit amusing and said, “Rest in peace for a few days, you’ll be able to see in a few days, don’t get anxious, too much mental stress can take its toll on your eyesight recovery.”

Nico was over here groping around blindly, wondering what he was doing, and Micaela hadn’t been cooking for a while when a thump was heard over here.

When Micaela looked up, she saw a burly man, 5’10”, scowling in pain as he banged his knee against the coffee table.

Micaela hurried to help him sit on the couch, “I thought I told you to sit still, you have ADHD, are you in pain?”

Nico gritted his teeth and yelled at her with a black face, “Bullshit, are you trying to crash like that?”.

Micaela couldn’t help but laugh at his childish tantrums, “I told you to hit the table, didn’t I?”.

The man had hit his knee and was lashing out at her.

Micaela pulled up her suit pant leg and sure enough, the knee was bruised and should probably be purple by tomorrow.

“I’ll go get the medicine.”

Micaela brought a bruise spray and after spraying the knee a couple of times, she reached out and rubbed his knee.

After pulling down his pants, Micaela instructed him, “Stop moving, if you keep moving, we won’t necessarily have dinner at eight o’clock tonight, huh?”

Micaela calmed him down a couple of times and Nico’s anger mostly disappeared, he was just sitting and bored.NôvelDrama.Org © 2024.

For dinner, Micaela prepared a vegetable and egg soup, a steamed pork noodle dish, a side of stewed kiwis and a jump of seasonal vegetables.

The chicken feather and egg soup was so hot that Micaela had just given him a bowl when Nico burned his hand.

Micaela: “…”

I hadn’t realized before that Mr. Nico was the first to do more than add to the mess.

Micaela pushed the bowl of soup away from in front of him, “Forget it, you can’t drink the soup now, don’t drink it and avoid burning your hands again.”

“…” Fuck, blind people are denied even the right to soup?

Nico blurted out in a harsh tone, “I want a drink.”

“Then you’re going to blame me again for burning you.”

“You feed me.” Nico ordered.

“…”

I’m really impressed, it’s picking up a giant baby to take home.

Micaela looked at him with a smile and a helpless look in her eyes, so she had to pass a spoonful of soup to his thin lips and feed him, “Hmm?”

Nico: “How can you make me drink when it’s so hot, are you trying to abuse me while I’m blind?”

The corner of Micaela’s mouth twitched as she brought it to her lips and blew on it, passing it back to her thin lips. “Is it okay now?”

Only then did Nico obediently open his mouth and drank the soup.

After a small bowl of soup, it was time to eat. Micaela put the chopsticks in his hand and gave him some food to put in his bowl, it shouldn’t be too hard to carry and eat it yourself.

Nico was a hard man to please and said coldly, “How am I going to eat these shrimp if you don’t peel them for me?”.

Micaela doesn’t even peel the prawns herself, she just bites into them with her mouth and the meat comes out of the tail.

Micaela took a piece of meat and passed it to her mouth, “Eat the steamed pork first, then I’ll peel it for you.”

Nico was quite obedient and ate it with his mouth open.

Micaela asked him, “Is it good?”

Nico frowned and spat as he chewed the taste of the steamed pork, “It’s horrible.”

Micaela just laughed and didn’t shoot him down; she could see that Nico loved to say otherwise anyway.

The hard-to-eat stuff is delicious.

Anyway, Micaela had a way to cure him, “Don’t eat it if it’s bad, then I’ll order you takeout.”

Nico: “… I’m fucking starving right now, waiting for takeout…”

Before the words were out of her mouth, Micaela had already picked up a piece of steamed pork and shoved it in her mouth. “Is it good?”

“… It manages.”

Micaela smiled at the look of disgust on his face and said nothing as she peeled the prawns.

She peeled it with her bare hands, without gloves, and delivered it directly to Nico’s thin lips, and several times Nico’s teeth hit her fingers.

“Mr. Nico, did you bite me on purpose?”

Nico was blunt: “I’m not a fucking dog, why would I bite you? But you, is it appropriate to accuse a blind man?”

“… It’s not appropriate.”

Since he was blind, Micaela didn’t bother with him.

After finishing dinner and cleaning up the dishes, Micaela lies down on the couch to catch her breath, after being enslaved by Nico all day, she can finally take a break.

But as soon as she sits down, Nico chastises her, “Where is the fruit after dinner?”

Micaela really didn’t want to move and looked at him with her head cocked to the side, “I don’t want to eat, do you want to eat?”

“Pomegranate.” Nico added, not to be left behind.

Micaela: “…”

You’re blind and you want to eat pomegranates?

He’s very good at posing people.

“No pomegranates, just watermelon.” Micaela had a “love it or leave it” tone.

Nico lectured her, “Is this how you treat your consortium? Do you want to do it right or not?”.

Micaela, with her head resting on the couch and the remote control in her hand, stood up suddenly, lifted one foot and kicked it on her thigh, grimacing, “Mr. Nico, do me a favor and let me rest, I’m exhausted from running around all day.”

Saying the sappiest words with the most expressionless face.

“…” Nico also grimaced, taking advantage of her blindness, the woman was such a reveler that she even let go of the roll.

Nico grabbed her by the ankle and pulled her, “Do you really think I can fool myself just because I’m blind?”

Micaela sat on his lap, grabbed his face with her hands and kissed him, gagging him, “Pay up.”

Nico was in an excellent mood from the kiss and asked with hooked lips, “What’s the payment?”.

“The heroine of Corpse Talk.”

Hm, that’s a good thing, but Nico wasn’t satisfied with a drop of water.

Suddenly, Nico turned around and trapped her beneath him, his thin lips teasing her in a low whisper, “Want to try being misty with a blind man?”

“…” The pervert!

You’re blind and you still think about this kind of thing?

Micaela slipped out of his arm while he was blind and ran to the kitchen, “Mr. Nico, I’ll peel the pomegranates for you! Last time Pastora Apostol gave me a box of pomegranates, big and sweet, and organic, grown by the farmers themselves! Would you like to try them?”

Nico had one arm still resting on the sofa and the corners of his lips curved in triumph: little man, fight him.

He doesn’t know what his family’s consortium is capable of until he is cured.
