Chapter 1179: How to beat your night breeze (3)
After the crowd left the room, Nico and Micaela were the only two people left in the room.
Nico was even more reckless as he took Micaela’s hand directly and tucked it under the blanket, asking her with a lopsided, affectionate smile, “Is this warm?”
Micaela stared at her, saying nothing.
Nico held out a hand and waved it in front of her eyes, “Why are you making a cold face at me and not even smiling, what have I done wrong to make you angry?”
“… no.” Micaela narrowed her watery eyes.
“Bullshit, if you’re my wife, why do you seem so angry with me? Did we have a bad relationship in our previous marriage? Or is it that I haven’t spoiled you?”
Micaela was speechless when he asked her several questions in a row, and merely said, “You just woke up, get some rest.”
“I’ve had enough rest, I’m getting dizzy from sleep, so keep me company.”
Micaela had nothing to say, “Say what?”.
Nico put one hand behind his head and held hers with the other, his dark eyes roamed her pretty face and said, “Tell me about us, how we fell in love and how we got married, though I don’t remember, I have a hunch I’m not much of a married or obligated person either. You must have liked me miserably in order for me to marry you.”
“…”
Seeing her stunned look, Nico’s handsome face leaned close to her own, “Am I right?”
Micaela pursed the corner of her lips and said, “Are you thirsty?”
“A little.”
Micaela poured herself a glass of plain water and handed it to him.
Nico said, “I’m sick now, feed me.”
“It’s not like you broke your hand.”
“Are you still my wife?”
Micaela didn’t know how to explain, they were already divorced, the more he explained the more confusing it would be, so she let it go and held the glass of water up to his mouth, “Drink.”
Only then did Nico take her hand and obediently drank most of the glass of water.
When he looked at her, his eyes were starry and bright, as if rivers of stars had fallen into them, clear and bright, and his eyes were full of affection for her, as if they were about to spill over.
Micaela’s hand slipped as she put down the cup and almost fell to the floor.
Nico grabbed her hand and said, “Why are you so distracted with me, what are you thinking about?”
“Nothing.”
“By the way, I don’t know your name until now?”
“Micaela.”
Nico smiled, “That’s a pretty name.”
Micaela stayed with him for a while. Nico had just woken up, his body had been badly bruised under the thick snow, he was actually very tired and after a few moments he fell asleep again.
Micaela went to the doctor to ask him.
“Doctor, in your case, is this normal?”
The doctor said, “Normal, probably some shock and impact to the brain from the avalanche and transient memory loss.”
“When will he recover?”
“It’s impossible to say, it depends on the recovery, but judging from his brain CT scan, his brain injury is not a big problem and should only be temporary.”
…
Nico slept all afternoon.
When I woke up, there was Savanna in front of me.
Nico asked, somewhat anxious and impatient: “Where is your sister-in-law?”.
Savanna: “Brother, do you really have amnesia or are you faking it in…?”
Nico gave her a stern look, “I didn’t ask if you and Rabago are real or not.”
Savanna immediately covered her mouth, “I’m shutting the microphone!
How horrible, to be threatened immediately!
Soon after, Micaela entered from outside the room carrying a thermal bucket.
Nico’s sullen face suddenly lit up and doggy, he grabbed Micaela’s hand and whined, “Where have you been, is there anything more important now than watching me, are you still my wife?”
“…” Savanna aside simply dropped her jaw, her brother’s face was changing faster than a Sichuan opera!
Micaela said, “I went to the hostel kitchen and made porridge, you haven’t eaten for a long time and the doctor said you can only eat liquids now, except for the nutrient solution.”
Micaela unscrewed the thermos and poured herself a bowl of steaming white porridge and handed it to him, “Drink.”
“You feed me.”
Savanna assisted, “Sister-in-law, have mercy on my brother.”
Micaela held the spoon and spooned a spoonful of white porridge into his mouth, before Nico opened his mouth to eat.
Nico ate a large bowl and seemed to have an excellent appetite.
Nico dismissed Savanna and went back to spend some time alone with Micaela.
As soon as she got up, Nico suddenly walked over to her and kissed her on the lips.
Micaela didn’t seem to expect him to kiss her so suddenly and froze for a moment.
But Nico teased, “Why are you looking at me like I’m a punk? You’re my wife, can’t I kiss you?”.
“…” How did this man become a denarius after a robbery.
Micaela didn’t bother to talk to him and took the kettle to the boiling water room.
She stood in the boiling water room for a while, thinking about things, and Nico fell easily as he did now, remembering nothing.
Long ago, he didn’t want to talk about it again either. This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - ©.
It’s all bad memories.
Micaela returned to the living room with her bottle of water.
When I first entered the room, I found no one on the bed.
“Nico?”
There was not a little movement from the sink.
Micaela put down the kettle and immediately ran to the bathroom, “Nico?”
Nico slumped over the toilet, vomiting weakly and miserably.
Micaela frowned and went to help him, “What’s the matter, didn’t you have a good appetite just now, are you lying to me?”.
Nico thought she was angry and immediately grabbed her hand nervously and said, “I don’t know how it happened, maybe it’s just that I haven’t eaten for a long time and my stomach can’t take it, Micaela, don’t be angry with me, I didn’t mean to…”
Before the words left Nico’s mouth, he realized that, unconsciously, he had called Micaela.
Micaela heard him matter-of-factly and gave him a cold look, “Nico, you haven’t lost your memory, you lied to me again.”
“I … Micaela, yes I woke up with a groggy head, but when I saw you, yes I woke up at all, but I didn’t know how to communicate with you, and I was afraid you wouldn’t talk to me, and I wanted you to stay with me, so I had to pretend …”
Micaela’s face cooled a little as she lectured, “Nico, how old are you to be pulling such childish pranks?”
Nico’s grip on her hand loosened little by little, like a child who has made a mistake. His handsome face, haggard and pale, hung slightly, not daring to look at Micaela at all, and he spoke in a desperate whisper, “I should have known that even this would not keep you, that you would still leave me, that you would still marry someone else.”
Micaela was confused, when was she going to marry someone else?
“Who am I going to marry?”
“You’re not going with Dario…”
Before Nico’s words could leave his lips, Micaela looked at him amused, “Nico, in your eyes, Dario and I will always have a sketchy relationship, won’t we?”
“I don’t have…” Nico didn’t know how to explain.
Micaela’s gaze fixed on him, “Nico, look at me.”
Nico looked up obediently and looked at her, more or less vaguely.
Micaela said, word for word, “What I’m going to say next, I’m only going to say it once. Whether you hear it clearly or not, I’m only going to say it this once.”
How could Nico not hear her clearly as he looked at her silently.
Micaela said, “Dario is getting married, but not to me.”
Nico’s eyes snapped open and the gray gloom inside him vanished.
His heart beat lively and fierce, as if burning with rebirth.
Micaela added, “I have no intention of being with you in this life after parting from you, but I have no intention of falling in love with anyone else either. nico, my feelings, all of them, are for you, all of them.”
Nico’s hand, hanging on the side of his pants, clenched into a fist, unable to contain his excitement.
He listened to every word she said, clear as day, word for word.
Nico’s eyes flushed at the corners and he called to her softly, “Micaela…”
Micaela ignored him and continued, “Nico, you want forgiveness, and I can’t afford to give it now, nor forgive you at all. But I’m talking about now. But the future is very long, there’s always a way for you to make me forgive you little by little, do you understand what I’m saying…?”
Nico plucked up his courage and reached up his sleeve, “You mean you are willing to give me a chance to repay my debt now?”
“Yes. However, I have one more question for you.”
“What?”
Micaela glared at him, “You left me a message after the avalanche?”
Nico didn’t quite understand why Micaela was suddenly asking about him, but admitted it anyway, “I’d been stuck in the snow for a couple of hours, regained a bit of consciousness halfway through and picked up the phone, so I thought it would be good to record a message for you.”
“What did you say to me?”
Nico smiled in a lighthearted way, with an unnatural gangster air, “What else can I say, I’m sure something like I love you. You’re not going to like it much anyway, I’m afraid it’s going to give you goosebumps.”
Micaela raised her hand and slapped him across the face, “Nico, I give you permission to lie to me one last time.”
Nico felt a little uncomfortable when his lie was discovered, “You know everything.”
“You think you died and left words like that and have a clear conscience?”
Nico curled his thick eyelashes to hide the guilt in his eyes, “I was wrong, Micaela. ”
Like a child apologizing for making a mistake.
He reached out his hand, hugged Micaela tightly and promised in a low, mute voice: “I won’t lie to you again, nor will I say irresponsible things like that. I will keep my life and atone little by little for my sins before you. Never again will I leave you, never again will I part from you alive…”.
When Nico had washed, Micaela helped him out of the bathroom.
Savanna came in with a basket of fruit: “Brother, sister-in-law, these are the apples Mr. Rabago bought! Remember to eat them.”
Having said this, Savanna turned around and tried to slip away.
Nico’s cold, deep voice rang out, “Stop.”
Savanna felt a shiver run down her back and twisted her head to pursed her lips and smiled good-naturedly, “Brother, can you get out of bed now? You look like you’re in good shape.”
Nico swept his eyes over the basket and said somberly, “I just woke up and threw up the porridge, that Rabago guy made me eat apples, he can’t see me getting better, can he?”.
Savanna seeks Micaela’s help, knowing that Nico is upset with her “brother-in-law”.
When you’re a sibling, you can play together if you have the right perspective.
But being her Nico’s brother-in-law is another thing.
Micaela said, “You just woke up, don’t worry about educating Savanna, she’s already with Rabago, there’s no rush if you want to break up the couple.”
Savanna nodded vigorously and agreed, “Sister-in-law is right, bro, get well and see you later.”
With that, she ran off in a huff.
Nico lost his temper with Micaela and muttered twice, “How dare that Rabago kidnap Savanna from under my nose, when I get over it I’ll kill him!”.
Micaela helped him to lie down and just listened quietly as he spoke, saying, “Savanna is not too young to have her own ideas.”
“Forget it, don’t mention them.”
Nico glanced at the apple next to him and reached over to grab one.
Micaela frowned, “How dare you eat an apple.”
Nico picked up a fruit knife and sat down on the bed to peel an apple, raising an eyebrow and smiling, “I’m not peeling an apple for my wife. ”
Micaela couldn’t control him and left him to his own devices.
