Fated For Lycan's Luna

Chapter 131

Chapter 131

Blake's POV

The night enveloped me in its chilly embrace, casting an eerie silence over the surroundings. Above,

the sky displayed a haunting hue of red, as though symbolizing the spilled blood that tainted the world.

I found myself seated at my office table, where an overwhelming sense of emptiness permeated my

being since Chloe's departure. Deep inside, I felt lifeless, my body moving mechanically to fulfill its

duties while my soul remained lost, and my heart hollow.

The purpose that once fueled my existence, embodied by Chloe and our lost child, had vanished

without a trace. I believed that nothing could stir me from this state of desolation, until Arthur burst into

the room, his eyes filled with a hint of panic. In that moment, my unmoved heart began to race with an

unexpected surge of emotions.

Something had gone terribly wrong. With a sense of foreboding, I inquired, "What happened?"

"Blake... there's some bad news," Arthur hurriedly replied, his words hanging in the tense air.

"The Red Moon Pack has been attacked," he continued, his voice filled with urgency. Tremors coursed

through my hands, which rested on the table, as I gazed at Arthur, my eyes turning bloodshot.

His hands tightened into fists as he pressed on, "An alliance was formed among the four neighboring

packs. The Red Moon Pack stood no chance." The revelation of four packs uniting against us drained

the color from my face. Each word Arthur spoke felt like a heavy hammer striking my already wounded

heart.

"They launched their attack in the dead of night, during the Red Moon Pack's Alpha's mother's birthday

celebration. It all unfolded so swiftly. Within minutes, their defenses were breached, and within hours,

the pack had fallen," Arthur reported solemnly. Unable to remain seated, I rose abruptly, my heart

pounding in my chest like a thunderous drumbeat.

"What about the pack members?" I forced out the painful question, my voice laced with anguish.

Arthur furrowed his brow, his eyes filled with concern. He then shook his head slightly, his face turning

even paler.

"Except for the Alpha, her mother, and the head sentinel, the standing order was to eliminate

everyone... Only a few managed to escape. The majority of the Red Moon Pack was swiftly

annihilated."

"Damn it!" I cursed, slamming my fist down on the table, my entire body trembling with rage. Within my

chest, my heart felt on the verge of exploding.

"What about Chloe? Did she arrive at the pack?" Worry consumed me instantly.

"Have you determined her whereabouts?" I pressed Arthur, my voice hurried and filled with

desperation. He sighed deeply before responding.

"No news. I dispatched our swiftest sentinel to investigate the situation. They are on their way there as

we speak."

"Hell and damnation!" I cursed once more, striding hastily toward the door. But before I could leave the

office, Arthur rushed to intercept me, grasping my shoulders tightly.

"Blake! Where do you think you're going? You can't simply charge in there!" His words spilled out

urgently as I roughly pushed him away, causing him to collide forcefully with the wall.

"Then what do you propose I do? Sit here passively, awaiting Chloe's death?" I hissed, my voice filled

with raw determination.

"And what is your suggestion? You will march in there, in the middle of thousands of enemies? Are you

going to be reckless once again?!"

"Blake...haven't you realized it yet? That your own impulsiveness and recklessness played a part in the

tragedy that befell Chloe?" Arthur's outburst shook me to the core, denying the truth that I harbored

deep within my heart.

Frozen in place, my entire being stilled, and my face drained of all color. I found myself unable to retort

as the weight of his words shattered my spirit.

Observing my paralysis, Arthur let out a resigned sigh and rose to his feet. He approached me once

more, reaching out to hold my trembling shoulders.

"Blake, we need to remain calm and assess the situation. Four enemy packs have forged an alliance

right under our noses. After toppling the Red Moon Pack, their sights will be set on us."

"We cannot rush headlong into battle. If we are caught unprepared once more, our pack will be the next

to face annihilation."

"Chloe... surely you understand how disappointed she would be if that were to happen."

Arthur's words finally broke the dam holding back my emotions. My knees gave way, and I crumpled to

the floor, my hands instinctively covering my anguished face. Tears, filled with a deep pain, streamed

down my cheeks, staining my reddened eyes.

"How can I do this?" I choked out, my voice coarse and raw.

"I let her go because I realized... she wouldn't find true happiness by my side anymore."

"More than my own well-being, I want her to live a life filled with joy. I can endure this soul-crushing

agony, knowing that she resides in a better place."

"But if she is truly gone... If she no longer walks this earth... then how..." My voice trailed off, a haunting

silence filling the room.

"How can I possibly continue to exist?" I choke on my words.

In that dire moment, just as my soul teetered on the brink of utter despair, a gentle warmth began to stir

within my heart. My eyes quivered with anticipation as I directed my gaze towards my chest, where the

inexplicable sensation radiated from. This warmth was unlike any power I possessed, distinct from the

energy of my wolf. Instead, it bore the tender touch of a connection I had never experienced before—a

connection forged with my mate.

"Blake?" Arthur's voice broke through my reverie, laced with concern. However, I couldn't bring myself

to respond. No, I couldn't divert my attention from that minuscule yet profound warmth that managed to

soothe my shattered heart and beleaguered soul.

A breath escaped my lips, a mixture of disbelief and relief, as I tightly clasped my chest. Warmth

flooded my eyes, causing them to soften, and I let out a heartfelt laugh—a laugh that carried both joy

and the weight of countless emotions. Tears cascaded down my cheeks as my laughter echoed

through the room. Within the confines of my chest, my heart danced with unadulterated bliss.

That gentle warmth I felt—it undeniably emanated from Chloe's wolf! She was alive! And not only that,

she had managed to awaken her dormant wolf within her!Overwhelmed by the realization, I buried my

face in my hands, my entire being engulfed in an overwhelming sense of relief.

"Blake!" Arthur shook my shoulders, his eyes filled with worry. "Dude... have you finally lost it? Should I

call my father? This doesn't seem right!" His words tumbled out in a rush. As he made a move to dash

out of the room, I grabbed his arm firmly and reassured him, "I'm okay."

"I... truly am okay now," I assured him, a small smile tugging at the corners of my lips.

"Arthur... just a moment ago... I felt Chloe's wolf..." Arthur's eyes widened in astonishment.

"Although our connection is weakened, it's undeniably there. I can sense it... and it's even stabilizing."

"Chloe... she's safe... she managed to shift... and it seems she's on the run... The weakening of our

connection is a result of the growing distance between us."

Arthur's expression grew more serious as my words sank in. He joined me on the floor, sitting beside

me, and asked, "That's... a relief..."

"So, what's your plan now?" Arthur inclined his head toward me, awaiting my decision.

"Chloe has chosen to escape. Although I cannot guarantee her safety, pursuing her at this moment

would bring more harm than good," I explained, my hands clenched tightly together. The ache in my

heart intensified as I realized my current powerlessness in aiding Chloe.

Therefore, I made a firm decision. Lifting my chin, I met the gaze of my trusted confidant and, for the

first time in a while, issued a directive.

"Arthur, let us once again seal off the borders of the Silver Pack." Original content from NôvelDrama.Org.

"For now, we shall fade from everyone's sight, gathering our strength and rebuilding in secret."

"And when the time comes for us to reveal ourselves to the world, our enemies will pay a heavy price

for the pain they have inflicted upon us."
