Chapter 699 An Indirect Parade Of Class
Skylar regretted that she did not wear the jewelry Tobias bought her. If Mavis had seen how much
bigger the diamonds she possessed, the woman probably would not have made such a silly accusation
against her.
Skylar promised the director that she would not make a big fuss out of the situation. After all, the reality
show was scripted, and what happened with Mavis was not in the script.
However, Skylar also put forward her condition. “I won't call the police, but you have to delete this
morning's recordings. I know you guys believe I've been wronged, but the viewers might not share your Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org exclusive © material.
opinion.”
The director was disappointed when he was told that because he was sure that the commotion would
be the highlight of the show.
That afternoon, Saorise spent around twenty at an Italian restaurant, which was within the budget set
by the production team.
Seated next to Skylar, Mackayla whispered to her, “You must have pretty terrible luck to be stuck with
Mavis, huh? That woman probably just wants some attention, and you're the closest sucker she could
find.”
Skylar shrugged nonchalantly while enjoying her spaghetti. “It won't matter because I asked Mr. Price
to leave that part on the cutting room floor. Otherwise, I'd have to get the police involved. I'm not about
to sacrifice my reputation just so Mavis could have the spotlight.”
After listening to that, Mackayla patted Skylar on the shoulder in admiration. “That's definitely the last
thing the production team would want. Still, you should be careful of Mavis. There's no telling what that
madwoman will do if she's pushed into a corner.”
Skylar agreed that Mavis got desperate since she was pretty sure the woman had sneaked the ring into
her suitcase the night before.
After Mackayla left to get some drinks, Saorise came over and took the woman's seat, bringing the
attention of the cameras with her.
Skylar remained graceful even when eating, but her portion was way bigger than her peers', for the
others feared that they would gain weight if they even took an extra bite.
When Skylar noticed how hesitant Saorise was to speak up, she raised a brow curiously at the woman.
At such a close distance, Skylar could smell something familiar emanating from Saorise. Huh... the
perfume Saorise wore is quite similar to Tobias'. ”Wow, you smell terrific! What perfume are you
wearing? It has a pretty unique smell.”
“It's actually men's cologne. I have a friend who likes to wear it, so I decided to mix it up with a Chanel
perfume I have. If you like, I can get you a few bottles.”
Immediately after Saorise mentioned a friend, Skylar wondered if the person could be Tobias. However,
she had never heard of any rumors between the two.
All Skylar knew was that Tobias personally requested Saorise to be his company's brand ambassador.
Could Saorise have done something to curry Tobias' favor? I mean, I've slept with the man so many
times, yet he never offered me such a position!
“You don't have to do that. I don't usually wear perfumes; I tend to forget.” Skylar politely turned down
the offer.
“My parents taught me that wearing perfume is a sign of respect for others. My room was already filled
with all kinds of fragrances when I was just a teenage girl. Even then, I knew exactly which type suited
me.”
Skylar smiled in response after listening to the indirect but obvious parade of class. “Nobody taught me
that, though.”
