Chapter 746 Impolite To Be Picky
Chapter 746 Impolite To Be Picky
Tobias wanted to be together with Skylar, and he was tired of hiding their relationship.
Although his voice was low, it was full of affection as he said, “Between money and your feelings, I value you more. The others can speculate all they want, but if you don't mind, we can announce our relationship publicly. I'll like to think that I won't embarrass you too much as your boyfriend. Of course, if you don't want to, I'm all right with it too. We can just continue our relationship like how things are now.”
Skylar was still eating her instant noodles when she was presented with a choice that would change her fate. Despite feeling dumbfounded, she realized that Tobias had compromised to his limit.
Skylar needed some time to calm down and think about it. She could already imagine the number of people against her when she announced her relationship, and more would probably say that she wasn't worthy of Tobias.
In truth, only a few would give their blessings to the relationship. Many would make sarcastic comments while waiting for them to break up.
When Skylar didn't reply, Tobias sighed with a smile on his face. “Don't you want a sense of security in this relationship? I'm giving it to you now, but you're hesitating about it.”
Tobias didn't want to force Skylar, nor did he intend to take down the speculating posts online. For all he cared, the netizens could reveal and write whatever they want.
He would give her a legitimate status as long as she cherished it. If she chose to waste this opportunity, he would be fine with it too. This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - ©.
Skylar spent the rest of the day at home feeling absent-minded and restless.
She was afraid of the box office outcome which would be revealed tomorrow. She felt as if she was waiting for her exam results to be announced.
Meanwhile, she still hadn't given Tobias a clear reply as to whether she wanted their relationship to go public.
He noticed that she didn't agree with him, which left him in a sour mood.
Skylar speculated that Tobias thought she didn't want to make their relationship public because she believed it would affect her career.
If that were the case, it would be too unfair for her.
She just didn't want to add on any unwanted trouble for him and disturb his already hectic life.
The next morning, Skylar woke up to find that breakfast was ready.
As she watched Tobias preparing breakfast in the kitchen, she felt a pang of happiness so strong that it felt unrealistic at that instant.
She greeted Tobias sweetly, but he seemed oblivious and didn't even turn around, leaving her only with the sight of his tall back.
She approached him and wrapped her slender and fair arms around his waist tightly.
“Why did you ignore me? Are you angry? You should allow me the time to explain before getting angry at me.”
Tobias still seemed oblivious, his focus on the fish stew in the pot. He followed the steps accordingly, yet the soup turned out clear and watery instead of the expected creamy white broth.
Skylar's arms were still wrapped around Tobias tightly. “Will you please talk to me?”
Tobias gave her a kiss on the forehead, but he didn't seem very passionate. “Why are you up so early? I thought you didn't sleep well last night. You were tossing and turning in your sleep and muttering about how you couldn't sleep, which only worsened it.”
Skylar, who had a lot on her mind, couldn't find the courage to look up the box office numbers with her phone. Since she was certain that no surprising miracle would happen, and there was only disappointment to be expected, there was no doubt that she couldn't fall asleep.
When Tobias served the fish stew on the table, Skylar had just finished washing up. She was shaking off the remaining water on her hands.
The fish stew tasted worse than her own cooking, but then she remembered her grandmother's words. “Be grateful when someone cooks for you. As long as it's edible, it's good enough. It's impolite to be picky.”
