Fell Into His Love Trap (Skylar and Tobias)

Chapter 766 Keep Doing Foolish Stuff

Chapter 766 Keep Doing Foolish Stuff

Allie remained standing behind Claudia. Ever since she joined the Ford family, Claudia had taken a liking to her.

The household staff often remarked on their inseparability, for Claudia held a deep affection for Allie.

Claudia felt worn out. Every day, she hoped fervently that her sons would come home so she could spend some time talking to them. NôvelDrama.Org: owner of this content.

Tobias faithfully visited her every week. As for Sheldon, ever since he moved out, he lived a carefree life and rarely made an appearance at home.

Allie made up an excuse to tell Claudia before running out of the door to go after Tobias.

The man was about to get into his car when Allie stopped him. Having run all the way to his car, she needed some time to catch her breath.

Allie's health had already been compromised, particularly after undergoing an abortion. She had ignored her own well-being, neglecting to take the necessary time for postpartum care to avoid arousing suspicion. Consequently, her health worsened over time.

Allie couldn't help but shiver uncontrollably from the biting cold. In her hurry to intercept Tobias before he left, she came out clad in a thin shirt.

Multiple sneezes escaped her as a result of the cold. Observing her shivering form, Tobias displayed a gentlemanly gesture by offering her his jacket.

“Can you please help me, Mr. Tobias?” Allie shot Tobias a pleading look. Water that could be the rainwater or her tears streamed down her cheeks.

Tobias knew about Sheldon's relationship with Allie and recognized that his younger brother was at fault.

Thus, he treated Allie kindly.

However, he didn't like the way Allie addressed him as “Mr. Tobias.”

Upon hearing about Sheldon's extravagant purchase of a villa for his online influencer girlfriend, Allie was overwhelmed with a mix of emotions. Her mind went blank, and her hands trembled as she felt a profound sense of injustice in being treated this way.

In the pouring rain, she proceeded to pour out her frustrations to Tobias.

Tobias furrowed his brows and responded, “Why are you telling me this now? Are you seeking my help to resolve the issue or expecting me to defend you? I'm aware of your relationship, and I've done everything in my power to intervene, but my attempts have been futile. Are you looking for compensation? Or do you—”

Allie burst out in a choking voice, “I want a title. He was the reason I aborted my baby, so I want him to compensate me.”

Tobias also couldn't help but feel that Sheldon's behavior was utterly unreasonable. Not only did Sheldon refuse to take responsibility for his own child, but he also showed no interest in compensating the poor young lady for her troubles.

Lowering his head, Tobias flicked his cigarette away, a somber expression clouding his face. “I can't make that promise. You should speak to my brother directly. I don't think this job is suitable for you, considering the likelihood of hearing his unreasonable actions from my mother. It could negatively impact you as well.”

Allie felt her heart sink to the bottom of her stomach as a bitter smile played on her lips. I was hoping that talking to Tobias would change things, but it turns out I was wrong. Tobias is still on his brother's side, and it appears he wants me out of their family. He's even more heartless than Sheldon.

Skylar took a hot bath and emerged from the bathroom to see Tobias in her bedroom. He was leaning against the TV cabinet, reading the instructions for the pills she was taking.

“Oxazepam,” he read out loud calmly as he held the box of pills.

Skylar wanted to get the box from him, and he gave it back to her readily. His voice was gentle as he asked, “Can you be honest with me? Why are you taking this?”

Skylar told him honestly, “Recently, I was feeling moody. Someone else gave me the pills. I've never taken such medication before, and I didn't dare to consume them.”

Hearing that, Tobias relaxed a little. I wonder who gave her antidepression medication when she was just feeling moody.

“Who gave you the pills?” Tobias asked curiously, even though he wasn't usually this nosy.

If I find out who it is, I'll definitely get Skylar to stay away from that person.

“My mom gave it to me. I had no idea where she got them from,” came Skylar's answer.

Realization dawned upon Tobias. No wonder. Only Miranda is capable of doing something this stupid.
