Chapter 109

Chapter 109

Carmella squeezed out a forced smile, “Alright, once my painting is fixed, I’ll invite you guys over to see

it again.”

“Don’t be too sad!” The two girls exchanged polite words and then hurriedly left.

Everyone came in high spirits, but left quite the opposite. On the way back, Simone didn’t speak the

entire time, while Carmella sobbed quietly.

Back at home, Simone completely lost it and smashed a glass of water handed to her by a maid, “What

the hell is that?!”

Carmella’s eyes were swollen from crying, “Mom, I’m sorry!”

Simone was furious, “Next time make sure you get the everything settled before telling me. You’ve

completely embarrassed me.”

Looking at Simone’s angry face, Carmella’s eyes showed fear, and disappointment as she covered her All rights © NôvelDrama.Org.

face and ran upstairs.

Bennett had the maid clean up the broken glass on the carpet and said seriously, “Calm down.

Carmella must feel bad about it too, so don’t blame her.”

Simone plopped down on the couch, huffing and puffing.

Bennett frowned, “The whole thing is pretty strange. I’ll have someone look into it. How could

Carmella’s painting just simply be taken down?”

Simone’s shifted her eyes and said coldly, “Go find it out. I have to know who removed Carmella’s

painting!”

On Monday, Carmella didn’t go to school. In the afternoon when class ended, Isis and Estelle

gossiped, “Our Angel Carmella’s painting was selected for an art exhibition and she even invited

people to see it. But when people got to the exhibition, her painting wasn’t there at all. It’s so

embarrassing.”

Estelle asked, “How did you know?”

Isis sighed, “The whole school was talking about it all morning.”

Carmella was a top student among her peers, beautiful, and came from a wealthy family. She was

quite a figure at school. It didn’t take more than half a day for everyone to know about this incident.

Estelle sneered, “The people she invited to the exhibition must be her trusted friends. Yet the very next

day, her embarrassing incident became well–known throughout the school. Clearly, her judgment in

making friends is really poor.”

Isis hadn’t thought of that before, but as soon as Estelle mentioned it, she realized it was true and

nodded repeatedly. Then she asked in confusion, “This whole thing seems really strange to me. She

must be confident to invite friends to the exhibition, so how could her painting not be put up there?”

Estelle just smirked, “Who knows?”

She took out two exhibition tickets from her bag, “Here you go.”

Isis was surprised, then her eyes sparkled with joy, “Where did you get these?”

“A friend gave it to me, but I don’t have time. Just take them.”

Isis immediately hugged Estelle and spun her around twice, “Estelle, Ella, you are the best! You are my

goddess!”

Estelle pushed her away, laughing, “Calm down!”

Isis excitedly kissed the tickets, “How come you have two tickets?”

Estelle replied, “Don’t you want to go on a date with your crush? Go ahead!”

Isis excitedly looked at Estelle, who quickly stepped back, “Don’t come near me!”

Isis clenched her fists, “Words aren’t enough to express my feelings. From now on, I’ll be there for you

no matter what, through thick and

thin!”

Estelle smiled helplessly and walked away, her smile warm and lazy.
