Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan)

Chapter 114

Chapter 114

Estelle held his hand from exploring under the blankets and quietly responded, “Not today.”

Jonathan pulled out his hand, noticing that her voice sounded off. He turned on the bedside lamp and

saw that her face was unnaturally pale.

Her eyes lost their usual sparkle, looking wilted.

“What’s wrong, feeling unwell?” He sat on the edge of the bed, touching her forehead.

“Um, it hurts every time.” Estelle felt dizzy from the light and closed her eyes.

“You should lie down properly.” Jonathan covered her with the blanket, turned off the light, and left the

room.

Estelle felt empty and, coupled with her stomachache, she couldn’t fall asleep at all.

She didn’t know how long it had been when the room door opened again, and his tall figure

approached, whispering, “Are you asleep?”

Estelle opened her eyes at once, staring at him in the dark, wondering why he was back.

“I’m turning on the light.” He walked to the bedside and turned the lamp on.

Estelle squinted and saw that he was holding a bowl, smelling a strong ginger aroma. Text © by N0ve/lDrama.Org.

Jonathan sat by the edge of the bed, his eyes looked soft in the dim light, “I asked the doctor, and he

said boiled ginger water could help. Try some.”

Estelle raised an eyebrow in surprise, “You made it?”

A hint of unnaturalness flashed across Jonathan’s face, “Mhm, my first time making it. Not sure if it’s

drinkable?”

Estelle sat up, took the bowl, sipped it – it was scalding and spicy. She nearly threw the bowl away.

“What’s wrong?” Jonathan saw her expression change.

Estelle looked up and asked, “How much ginger did you put?”

Jonathan furrowed his brow, “The doctor said to add extra, so I put a whole piece of ginger. Is there a

problem?”

Estelle, “.

She wanted to laugh and couldn’t help but tremble while holding the bowl.

“If it doesn’t taste good, just don’t drink it.” Seeing her look so distressed, he thought the ginger water

tasted terrible and reached for the bowl.

“It’s fine.” Estelle dodged his hand, holding back her laughter and looking at him, “It’s still drinkable.”

Jonathan stared into her eyes, “Then drink.”

Estelle puffed her cheeks, blew on the ginger water, and slowly sipped it.

Jonathan sat there, quietly and patiently waiting for her.

The ginger water was spicy and stimulating, but Estelle drank the whole bowl with her calm

expression.

Jonathan took the empty bowl and asked gently, “Do you feel any better?”

“Mhm, thank you” Estelle’s gaze was clear and sincere.

“I’ll go wash the dishes.” Jonathan said gently and got up.

Back in the kitchen, he looked at the remaining half pot of ginger water, frowning. He scooped up half a

spoonful and carefully sipped

1. it.

He immediately spat it out into the sink, furrowing his brow, wondering if he’d just drunk poison.

How on earth did that girl drink his awful fluid without even flinching?
