Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan)

Chapter 176

Chapter 176

Estelle raised her eyebrows. Men’s addiction to cigarettes isn’t something they can quit just like that.

She just had to wait for him to hand her the ice cream.

It’s her day off today, so she didn’t go to Midnight Bar. Instead, she changed her clothes and went out

to eat with Jonathan.

The two of them visited Yum Yum Bakery Courtney’s place again. Courtney knew that Estelle loves

milk, so she specially made her a cold milk. However, before Estelle could get excited, Jonathan

ordered it to be changed to a warm one.

When Courtney left, Estelle batted her eyes and asked, “no cold drinks either?”

The man refused, “No!”

Estelle felt a bit down, “Isn’t life kind of boring without those?”

With a deep voice, Jonathan slowly said, “Can’t the happiness I give you make up for it?”

He spoke seriously, causing Estelle to be stunned for a moment before reacting. It felt like her heart

just got burned, so she muttered, “How can they be the same?”

The man seriously asked, “Which one is better?”

Estelle choked, her watery eyes looked at the man, her pretty face turned red, then suddenly looked

out the window.

She couldn’t reply to his questions anymore, otherwise, she will become as bad as him.

Under the window, there was a lit lamp. In the lamplight, the man clearly saw the red blush on the girl’s

ear, and slowly smiled.

Outside the window was a begonia tree. Estelle leaned out to touch the flowers. As someone passed

by the courtyard, a young man in his twenties saw Estelle and suddenly froze.

He couldn’t help but walked over, plucked a begonia flower, and handed it over. “Here you go!”

Estelle didn’t accept it. “Thank you.”

“Do you come here to eat often, miss? Can I follow your Instagram?” The young man rarely

approaches women, so he plucked up the courage, his handsome face blushing under the lamplight.

Just as Estelle was about to refuse, another window suddenly opened. Jonathan stood there, looking

at the young man outside with a faint smile. “Weren’t you studying abroad? When did you come

back?”

The young man was stunned for a moment, then his eyes brightened. “Uncle!”

Estelle was also surprised. Did they know each other?

Jonathan introduced to her, “Courtney’s son, Arthur Gould.”

Then he introduced her to Arthur, “My friend, Estelle.”

Arthur’s face was still red, and he grinned. “Nice to meet you, Ms. Macclain.”

Estelle nodded with a gentle smile.

Soon, Arthur came in and enthusiastically chatted with Jonathan. His excited face turned red. “I haven’t

seen you in so long, uncle! Just a few days ago, I asked my mom when you’d come over.”

Jonathan smiled faintly. “Have you graduated?”

Arthur nodded. “Yep, I came back for real this time, I will stay in J City with my parents.”

As he spoke, he kept glancing at Estelle out of the corner of his eye. He turned to her and cautiously

asked, “is this your girlfriend?”

Without waiting for Jonathan to answer, Estelle shook her head. “No.”

Arthur’s smile seemed brighter. “Didn’t think so.” Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.

Jonathan suddenly asked, “Why not?”

Arthur candidly replied, “Ms. Macclain looks like she’s still in school. Uncle, you’re almost thirty. It’d be

a bit weird to date someone so young, wouldn’t it? Wouldn’t you have nothing to talk about?”

Estelle glanced at Jonathan, suppressing her laughter.

Jonathan’s smile faded a bit, and he said jokingly, “Didn’t you know that men like younger women?”

Estelle was taken aback, feeling as if she had heard something similar before.

Arthur grinned, showing his white teeth, his eyes full of admiration. “That’s other people. Uncle, you’re

different!”

Jonathan chuckled, “Don’t see me as that different. I’m also a man like everyone else.”

At this moment, Courtney came in with food and looked at Arthur in surprise. “Why are you here?”
