Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan)

Chapter 184

Chapter 184

Winnie saw her holding a whole box of sugar and couldn’t help but laugh, “Estelle loves sweets, but Mr.

Lamont is afraid that eating too much sugar will be bad for her health, so he doesn’t allow her to eat a l

ot. Today, Estelle is gonna go crazy with the sugar at your place, Mrs. Macy”

Mrs. Macy looked at Estelle with some meaningful glint in her eyes and said,

“Mr. Lamont and Ms. Macclain have a great relationship.”

Estelle smiled and said, “He’s just too domineering.”

Winnie exaggeratedly gasped, “Estelle, you’re making me jealous! A guy like that is hard to come by! M

ost people would die for that kind of domineering love”

In

the evening, after taking a bath, Jonathan applied body lotion on Estelle’s back, and she said, “Baldrick

invited the Macys to the opera, and you should have gone

too.”

She didn’t know if she should tell Jonathan about what she had seen during the day. She hadn’t heard t

he specifics of the conversation, and she was afraid that she might be overthinking. If she brought it up,

it could cause a rift between Jonathan and Baldrick, especially since they had to work together in the f

uture. But if she didn’t, she was worried that

Jonathan might let his guard down and be deceived by Baldrick.

After contemplating, she didn’t mention it but could only subtly hint at it, hoping he would understand w

hat she meant.

Jonathan

sat on the edge of the bed and chuckled, “You don’t like the opera, so I decided to stay and keep you c

ompany.”

Estelle lay on the bed, turned her head to look at him, and said, “When you told me about the opera, I t

hought you had prepared it especially for me. If I had known it was for the Macys, I would have joined t

hem for sure.”

She lowered her eyes and continued, “You don’t have to cater to me all the time. I may not be able to h

elp much, but I don’t want to hold you back from doing what you need to do.”

Jonathan leaned forward, propped up by his arms, and gazed into her eyes. His voice was languid, “W

ho says you haven’t helped me? My body feels relaxed at night, and I can get things done more efficien

tly during the day. If the deal goes through, you’ll be my biggest contributor!”

In truth, he wasn’t just flattering her –

he had noticed that his sleep had improved recently. He wasn’t sure if it was because he had been usi

ng up energy before bedtime, but he could fall asleep within half an hour of lying down.

Estelle flushed under his intense gaze, and she buried her head into the soft bedding, mumbling, “Are y

ou done yet? I’m so sleepy!”

“Almost done,” the man chuckled before continuing to apply the lotion on her back.

His hands were warm and

strong, pressing down gently but firmly from her neck down. Estelle felt comfortable to the bone that he

The room was lit only by a bedside lamp, and the moonlight shone in, casting a glow on her smooth an

d beautiful back, which was as sheen as jade.

Perhaps it was because they were away from the hustle and bustle of the city that the moonlight here w

as particularly clear and bright. Estelle turned her head, and her eyes were filled with the bright, clear m

oon and stars.

The opera wasn’t held inside the estate but in a theater in C City. Baldrick had booked the entire venue,

so only the Macys and Baldrick and Winnie were inside.

The environment was very elegant and quiet.

As Mrs. Macy enjoyed the opera, she seemed to be reminded of the past. Holding Winnie’s hand, she t

earfully choked up several times.

Schilder leaned over and handed her a handkerchief to wipe her tears. Mrs. Macy smiled shyly.

At intermission, Baldrick gave Winnie a

signal. She looked confused for a moment before saying to Mrs. Macy, “Madam, the best view of C City

’s famous night scene is outside the theater. Would you like to take a look?
