Chapter 2325
Chapter 2325
"Easy peasy!" Carson summoned a maid, chuckling, "Would you mind giving this lady a slap?"
The maid paused, as did Susanna, who incredulously said, "You're asking a filthy servant to hit me?"
Jonathan's gaze turned icy as he spoke calmly, "Filthy? Everyone in my estate earns their keep through hard work. Feeling superior just because you're taken care of?"
Intimidated by Jonathan's presence, Susanna turned pale and didn't dare to speak.
Andrew glanced coldly at Susanna and instructed the maid, "Do it for Mr. Foster."
Feeling emboldened by her master's support and insulted by Susanna, the maid didn't hold back, delivering a slap that made Susanna stagger, her delicate face instantly reddening.
Susanna, covering her face, was a mix of embarrassment and anger, glaring at the maid before returning to her seat.
Magdalen asked with "concern," "You alright there, Ms. Murphy?"
Forcing a smile, Susanna replied, "Of course!"
Magdalen then asked, "Still up for playing?"
"Absolutely!" Susanna tried to appear unfazed. "This is nothing. I've been through worse!"
"Love that spirit!" Magdalen praised. "I've got a soft spot for folks like Ms. Murphy!"
Turning to Amiee, she said, "Let's keep the cards coming!"
The third round was another win for Magdalen, with Susanna losing.
Susanna couldn't hide her frustration.
Magdalen teased, "Truth or dare, Ms. Murphy?"
Not wanting to seem like a poor sport, Susanna chose dare again.
Magdalen said with a smile, "I'm impressed, Ms. Murphy. Let's go easy this time. How about you run three laps around the lawn?"
Susanna's eyes widened.
Magdalen added, "Didn't catch that?"
"I'm wearing heels!" Susanna protested.
With a smirk, Magdalen suggested, "Then feel free to run barefoot!"
Susanna, visibly annoyed, agreed reluctantly, "Fine, I'll run!"
"See? Ms. Murphy is worldly; a few laps are nothing," Magdalen said, still smiling. Biting her lip, Susanna began her laps around the lawn under everyone's gaze. Andrew, not a fan of Susanna, just scowled, silently cursing her foolishness. Clearly, Susanna had crossed Magdalen somehow to deserve this treatment. Crossing Magdalen was either ignorance or stupidity!
As Susanna started her run, Marina asked Magdalen, "What did she do to you?"
Magdalen, feeding Kya some fish
sticks, asked Kya, "Do you like
auntie who's running?" Content

Kya mumbled adorably and straightforwardly, "Don't like."
Magdalen looked up, "There you have it. If Kya doesn't like her, neither do I."
Emily frowned, "What happened?"
Sitting with her back to the rose trellis, she had missed Susanna's scolding of Kya.
Magdalen reassured, "Don't worry about it. I'll handle her."
Marina commented, "Ms. Murphy seems to have something against me too!"
"Only just noticed?" Magdalen scoffed. "As if she stands a chance."
Marina glanced at Carson, understanding immediately, and
