Chapter 85
Estelle felt bad for Hans and asked, “Could please you help?”
Jonathan looked up at her, “It’s not a big deal. If you want, I’ll give Charlie a call later.” Ccontent © exclusive by Nô/vel(D)ra/ma.Org.
Estelle avoided his deep, dark eyes and whispered, “Then, thank you for the trouble
Jonathan glanced at her without saying anything and continued eating
After dinner, when Estelle was about to leave, the kitchen staff handed her a thermos cup filled with so
up.
Jonathan was upstairs, calling Charlie to have Sallie released.
Charlie asked curiously. “Who asked you for help?”
Jonathan frowned, “Don’t worry about it. Just let her go.”
Charlie laughed. “My girlfriend got beaten up and is still in the hospital. You want me to just let the Mac
clain family off the hook that easily?”
With a cigarette in his hand, Jonathan sneered, “Noreen got beaten up, and you’re partying around, an
d you have the nerve to call her your girlfriend?”
Charlie laughed. “At least for now,”
Jonathan’s eyes wandered to Estelle, who was wearing a tight dress today, making her waist looks ver
y slim, her legs long and fair.
Feeling a bit distracted, he said casually. “Enough chatter, I’ve got things to do. Call your lawyer and dr
op the charges.”
After hanging up, he turned and saw that Estelle had already got into her car and left the yard
That evening, the Macclain family picked up Sallie from the police station to go back home.
Stanley took his family, carrying a load of gifts, to Sabina’s house to express their gratitude.
On their way, Hans frowned, “Why are we going to Uncle’s house? It was Estelle who helped, that’s wh
y my sister got home so quickly.”
Leonie retorted, “What are you talking about? It was clearly Sabina who asked for the Lamont family’s f
or help.”
Sallie, who had been locked up for a week, was in a gloomy mood, “Don’t bring up that Estelle ever
again! Don’t talk to her anymore, get it?”
Hans insisted, “Why doesn’t anyone believe me?”
“Believe what?” Leonie scolded, “She’s just a student, what help could she be? You must be bewitched
by her. Mention Estelle one more time, and I’ll take your phone away and never let you play games aga
in!”
Hans felt wronged, but nobody believed him. Clenching his fists, he looked out the window
His mom had been seeking help from Sabina for a week but couldn’t solve the problem. But his sister g
ot released in the afternoon after he called Estelle at noon. Clearly, it was Estelle who fixed it. Why wer
e his family so foolish?
At the Corley’s, Stanley and Leonie thanked Sabina profusely, praising her for her competence and ab
ility.
Sabina was both surprised and touched. She thought Jonathan had forgotten about this, but it seemed
he always had it in mind. Did it mean that he valued her?
Anyhow, the issue got resolved, and the two families enjoyed each other’s company until late at night
As soon as he got home, Hans called Estelle, his voice choked with emotion, “I’m sorry, Ella. No matter
what I say, they won’t believe you helped”
Estelle sat on the bed and smiled indifferently,
“It’s okay. The goal was to get your sister back home. As long as that’s achieved, other things don’t real
ly matter”
She never expected the Corley family to thank her. She just wanted to help Hans.

Hans said earnestly, “Ella, you’re the best in my heart! No matter what others say, I’ll always consider
you as my older sister!”
Estelle’s lips curved, and Jonathan hugged her from behind, tenderly kissing her neck She shivered sli
ghtly, bade Hans farewell, and told him not to worry and to go to bed early
After hanging up, Jonathan held her waist tightly, “Hans?”
“Yeah” Estelle nodded lightly. “He called to thank me.”
Jonathan gently kissed her neck, his voice husky. “So how will you thank me?”
Estelles breath hitched, “So you want me to thank you too?”
His voice grew even lower, “Isn’t it just basic manners?”
