Flash Marriage Makes A Perfect Match

Chapter 683: I Saw It

After leaving Alonzo’s nursery, Allyce drove aimlessly through Cloud Cit.

A familiar street, and when he looks up, there is not even a familiar back.

Tired of driving around, she got out of the car, found a coffee and sat down, only to meet Marco, who was out checking things out.

“Mrs. Betances”.

Marco waved the men following him away, striding over and taking a seat right in front of her, without any politeness whatsoever.

Allyce looked at him: “What a coincidence”.

“That’s not true, Cloud Cit is so big and it’s destiny that we find ourselves like this”.

Allyce did not take Marco’s words with such ulterior motives seriously.

He sipped his coffee quietly and turned his head to look out of the window, neither making conversation with Marco nor shooing him away.

Marco was not the kind of man to let a woman leave him hanging. He was about to speak when he saw Allyce, across the room, suddenly get up, not bothering to grab her car keys or purse, and run out the door.

“Hey, where are you going?”

Marco’s reaction was also quick, and he was about to go after her with his keys and bag, but was stopped by the waiter who was approaching him: “Excuse me, sir, can I pay the bill first?

Marco took a few sheets of money out of his bag and threw them straight at the waiter: “That’s enough, get out of the way.

The waiter cringed when he saw the look on his face and turned away immediately.

As soon as he got out of the way, Marco went after him in the direction of Allyce.

Seeing Marco flee in a flash, the waiter said faintly: “Sir, there is still money for you …”.

Forget it, consider it a tip.

When Marco gave chase, there was no sign of Allyce’s men.

Sensing this, he ran towards a fork in the road.

It is a relatively busy shopping street, but the side fork is not very busy with people coming and going, especially on a weekday afternoon.

He stepped into the fork in the road and took two steps forward, and was just sensing that something was wrong when his head was covered by something and his vision was obstructed as darkness fell before his eyes.

What followed was a flurry of punches and kicks.

Marco didn’t expect anyone to dare sneak up on him, and his years of military service had honed his lightning-fast reflexes.

He reacted quickly and soon knocked down several of the men around him.

He quickly removed the hood from his head and, when his vision cleared, the men he had just knocked to the ground had run to a car in front of him and driven away.

Obviously, there was premeditation.

In all his life, no one had ever dared to overshadow him in such a way, except when he was beaten by his opponents when he fought them.

These men were not evil, they reacted quickly and with a clear purpose. They seemed to know their strength, so they hit and ran, and dared not stay much longer.

Someone who knew him must have done so.

He cursed mentally, thinking that he had gone out after Allyce and had just lost the man after stumbling so much.

He touched his leg and hissed coldly, these people had hit hard.

Turning back the way he had come, he looked around, eyes alert, and let him find out who had done it, and that person would be dead.

He did not see any suspicious characters until he returned to the main road.

In a black car not far away, the window slowly rolls down a third of the way, revealing half of a man’s face, his dark eyes particularly striking.

A woman’s slightly sarcastic voice came from next to him: “So what if you get someone to beat him up, he’s good and won’t suffer at all, and besides, you’re acting childish.

The man’s voice was low, cold and pleasant: “At the very least, it will annoy you, you must want to find out who is behind this at the moment, but there is no way you can find out about me, so you will have to remain unhappy”.

The woman snorted coldly: “I think you’re getting sick again, rather than childish!

The man raised the car window and began to close his eyes.

The woman’s face turned a little ugly.

Marco finally met Allyce in front of a convenience store.

When he saw Allyce intact, he was furious: “Why are you running, can’t you talk about what’s going on before you go? I’m not going to do anything to you in public.

Allyce’s eyes were glued to the traffic in the middle of the road, and she wasn’t sure if she was listening carefully to Marco, who was right on her heels.

After a moment, she suddenly turned her head towards Marco, her beautiful peach eyes shining: “I saw it.

Marco looked at her suddenly radiant face and averted his eyes with a slight disorientation, then uttered a slightly chagrined, “What?

“I’ve seen Severo, I’ve seen him standing on the other side of the road looking at me in the coffee!” Allyce’s eyes were full of joy and her tone was full of excitement.

Marco’s face cooled quickly and he looked at her with a look of madness: “You haven’t had a good rest and your eyes look bad”.

Allyce argued loudly: “I can’t be wrong, it’s him!

Marco didn’t bother to brood over the matter with Allyce, he shoved the bag and the car keys he was holding into her arms. “Your son will be out of school soon, you’d better go and pick him up soon, find something to do at the office if you have nothing to do, save yourself thinking about it all day.

He did not believe Allyce’s words.Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org exclusive © material.

Allyce pursed her lips, “Forget it if you don’t believe me, it’s none of your business anyway”.

When he finished, he turned and left without even saying “goodbye”.

Marco stood with his arms folded, too angry to speak for a long time.

I have never seen such an insensitive woman!

Allyce drove around the area again in her car before picking up Alonzo.

For the next few days, he didn’t even go to the office, except to pick up Alonzo from school and to lead the search for Severo in Cloud Cit.

In the end, there was not even a hint of Severo for a few days.

He couldn’t help wondering if he had made a mistake that day.

However, he knew in his heart that he could not go wrong.

But apparently, after searching for days without a trace, no one around him believed that he had seen Severo.

At the weekend, Lucila came to stay with her at home: “Have you been very tired lately? It’s better to be healthy anyway.

“I really saw it, why don’t you believe me?” Allyce explained to Lucila a little breathlessly.

Lucila sighed and said, “If it really was Severo, why didn’t he come forward? What is he hiding and trying to find out when he knows you’re looking for him? It doesn’t make sense.

“But …”

Lucila patted her on the shoulder to reassure her: “Just rest for a few days, I’ll take a few days off to keep you company so you don’t think about it all day.
